Very nice hotel with amazing services and 2 excellent restaurants. Impeccable service both at the hotel and the restaurants. we loved our stay there and would go back anytime. Nice pool and good spa. A little bit out of the town center but easily reachable by taxi in 5-10 minutes. We really loved the staff.

Everything was so lovely!! The hotel was on a beautiful property with lots of great amenities and plenty of parking!! The pádel court was such an added bonus and the whole thing felt like a secluded little paradise. The only thing I would point out is that there is no conditioner so maybe bring your own. Thank you Senhora da Rosa for a lovely stay!

Kudos to all staff members (front desk, restaurant, housekeeping) of the hotel for being warm, welcoming, and helpful and for always having a smile on their faces! My husband and I celebrated our 1st anniversary at this hotel and on our arrival, we were served champagne and some sweet treats for the occasion❤️ The check-in process was detailed and we loved that as it made our stay more fun. If you need help booking adventure tours, taxis, or rental cars, the front desk staff are happy to help. The walk to downtown Ponta Delgada Portas do Mar or Sao Roque Beach is approximately 50 minutes and the taxi ride is about 8-10 euros. The hotel has a spa with massage services (by appointment only), a sauna and a Turkish bath which we loved! The hot tub/plunge pool area in the pineapple plantation was a unique experience. They have no fitness centre but have a treadmill, elliptical cycle, and pilates class by appointment only. The Magma restaurant has great food options - a tip to make reservations for any restaurant in the Azores. Our room was spacious and clean. The wifi was a little dodgy in certain areas of our room, but it helped us stay off our phones 😜 Overall, a very great experience. We are relaxed and rejuvenated! Thank you to the hotel staff for making our stay memorable!

We had an extraordinary stay at Senhora da Rosa, Tradition & Nature Hotel. As a family of five who has traveled to destinations like Bora Bora, Paris, and Costa Rica, we can confidently say this was one of the most pampering and comfortable experiences we’ve ever had. The family suite was a dream :complete with bunk beds (each with its own TV), a cozy teepee tent, and child-sized bathrobes that were the cherry on top. It gave our children a magical space of their own while still keeping everything luxurious and effortless for us. The hotel itself felt like pure indulgence, with unique design elements that sparked my inner artist, while keeping our kids engaged with the pool, kids’ club, and thoughtful details. To our delight, the staff even surprised our daughter with a birthday cake, making her feel so special and creating a memory we’ll always treasure. From pizza dinners on the terrace to evenings playing chess in the lounge, every moment was intimate, unique, and picture-perfect: an ideal complement to the natural beauty and relaxed vibe of São Miguel. The service was impeccable as well: the staff went above and beyond, preparing an early breakfast for our 7 a.m. flight and ensuring we had everything we needed for the next day. A beautiful hotel with top notch staff that strive to ensure one wants for nothing - or if you do want, just ask. Restaurants were great. The fantastic free breakfasts really adds to the value. A beautiful lobby and bar (with pooltable!). We didn’t take advantage of the spa but loved spending time in the mineral bath inside their pineapple greenhouse! Great location -close to Ponta Delgado but far enough away, and central to the island. Highly recommend (fyi having been there I would def not want a hotel right in Ponta Delgado - car rentals can be ridiculously cheap)

We had the pleasure of staying 10 nights at Senhora da Rosa with half board - and we immensely enjoyed both the delicious food at both restaurants and the lovely pool and spa facilities. Despite visiting in november, well out of the vacation season, we lacked for nothing: everyone were extremely polite and acommodating and we had a great time. We will be recommending this hotel to anyone considering visiting the Azores!

We had a lovely stay at Senhora da Rosa. The staff were lovely and helpful and the facilities were great. The pool and spa area was really nice; we had a lot of it to ourselves as most people are out exploring the island. Staying in Ponta Delgada was a great way to explore the island. It was a nice peaceful area although quite a long walk which is just something to bear in mind as we did find it better to eat out during the day and just have something from the bar menu on an evening as it was nice and chilled and had a great selection of cocktails.

This was our first hotel on the island, and our favorite! The hotel is just the perfect oasis, a small boutique hotel with infinity pool, hot tub inside a pineapple greenhouse, two restaurants, and a rooftop bar. Very accommodating for children, will definitely stay again when we come back!

A lovely, relaxing retreat. The spa, pool and grounds were inviting and beautiful. The rooms were clean, modern and stylish. The hotel is beautifully designed, with a great breakfast and terrific dining options (loved the sushi restaurant and local cuisine). The staff were very helpful and made the stay comfortable and welcoming.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The front desk stafff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, we enjoyed that there were many local products for breakfast. The mini bar also included local items, including passion fruit soda which was very good and not expensive. The room was very clean. The best part was most certainly using the hot spring tub in the pineapple greenhouse, which we enjoyed as often as we could especially on the cooler rainy evenings. The hotel is located in a quiet area, it is best to have car if you choose to stay here, though we did walk into downtown one night. It was about a 30 minute walk, and the sidewalks are very narrow in some places, though it didn't feel unsafe once we got used to it, as this is the case for most of Ponta Delgada. No complaints!

I’m sorry to be snobby but when you book a five star resort you expect a different class of hotel. This hotel has the bones to be great(and probably was at one point), but the upkeep and overall quality pales in comparisons to other five star hotels in the region. The hotel is a beat down version of a five star hotel and needs a new owner who will invest into its success.

Absolutely incredible!!! Beautiful clean property with the friendliest staff. It was the perfect spot for our honeymoon. We stayed in the private jungle lodge and it was amazing! The breakfast that is included is also fantastic. We’ll be back!

Wir waren vor dem offiziellen check-in da und haben vor Ort auf das Zimmer gewartet, welches um 14 Uhr (offizielles Check in) immer noch nicht fertig war. Uns wurde mitgeteilt es gab halt eben ein Late Check-out von den Gästen davor. Ein Grund dafür, warum wir als Gäste zweiter Klasse behandelt worden sind, wurde nicht genannt, bei knapp 300€ pro Nacht ist es unmögliches Verhalten. Zusätzlich fehlten dann im Zimmer Handtücher fürs Gesicht und den Pool, obwohl wir es der Rezeption mitgeteilt haben, wurden im Laufe des Aufenthalts keine gebracht und nur genervt reagiert. Die Unterkunft ist im allgemeinen sehr schmuddelig und keiner kümmert sich so recht um die Anlage und die Sauberkeit. Am Pool stand der Müll von Vortag 24h land und wurde von niemandem abgeräumt. Wir können diese Unterkunft absolut nicht empfehlen. Man kriegt für das Geld viel bessere Hotels auf der Insel.

This hotel was just ok, and we didn’t find anything impressive about it. The rooms, the breakfast, the service, cleanliness, location, all were mediocre. We had very high expectations looking at the photos they have posted but it’s just a regular hotel with a nice garden.
This hotel was just ok, and we didn’t find anything impressive about it. The rooms, the breakfast, the service, cleanliness, location, all were mediocre. We had very high expectations looking at the photos they have posted but it’s just a regular hotel with a nice garden.

The Asian restaurant had a chef that created a beautiful vegan dinner especially for me. The spa services were divine. The facility is beautiful and clean, and the staff very pleasant. Recommended!

I stayed here with my boyfriend for one night and it was our favorite stay in Sao Miguel! The staff were kind and accommodating & even helped us celebrate our 3rd year anniversary. I would highly recommend this place! Extremely clean and the pool and pineapple greenhouse were amazing!

Kudos to all staff members (front desk, restaurant, housekeeping) of the hotel for being warm, welcoming, and helpful and for always having a smile on their faces! My husband and I celebrated our 1st anniversary at this hotel and on our arrival, we were served champagne and some sweet treats for the occasion❤️ The check-in process was detailed and we loved that as it made our stay more fun. If you need help booking adventure tours, taxis, or rental cars, the front desk staff are happy to help. The walk to downtown Ponta Delgada Portas do Mar or Sao Roque Beach is approximately 50 minutes and the taxi ride is about 8-10 euros. The hotel has a spa with massage services (by appointment only), a sauna and a Turkish bath which we loved! The hot tub/plunge pool area in the pineapple plantation was a unique experience. They have no fitness centre but have a treadmill, elliptical cycle, and pilates class by appointment only. The Magma restaurant has great food options - a tip to make reservations for any restaurant in the Azores. Our room was spacious and clean. The wifi was a little dodgy in certain areas of our room, but it helped us stay off our phones 😜 Overall, a very great experience. We are relaxed and rejuvenated! Thank you to the hotel staff for making our stay memorable!

The loft room was amazing, surrounded with jungle overlooked by a large wood deck. The sounds of birdsong were a delight. The room had a simple but elegant decor. The items in the mini-bar was over priced. The Asian Fusion Restaurant was awesome, as was the breakfast buffet each morning. The spa is self serve unless you order services and lacks the feel of a spa. There is a jacuzzi pool in a greenhouse filled with pineapples. That was a first for us!! I would stay there again as a place to stay when arriving or departing from PDL airport.

Absolutely incredible!!! Beautiful clean property with the friendliest staff. It was the perfect spot for our honeymoon. We stayed in the private jungle lodge and it was amazing! The breakfast that is included is also fantastic. We’ll be back!

The hotel was okay, but it’s definitely not a 4 star hotel. I think we had really high expectations as it was part of the Michelin guide and it did not live up to the hype or reviews. Our JR suite had a septic smell and when we asked the front desk about it they said it does this when the wind flows one direction and we can provide candles to mask the smell. Which was definitely not ideal, as it lasted the three days that we were there.

Very nice hotel. The basic room is perfect for a stay when you don’t expect to spend alot of time in the room. No luxury. Not a nice area to walk around but the best because very central to visit the island. The property and lot is wonderful. Nice pool. Spa building. Basic but all you need for breakfast is included. Very quiet hotel and guest. Feels like nature and that’s what we wanted. 9+/10

This hotel is very lovely. The rooms are spacious, the amenities are gorgeous and the overall property is beautiful. However, we found that the hotel and spa didn't live up to it's potential. The food is okay - but would recommend going elsewhere for your meals. The staff at the bar and restaurants was MIA a lot of the time, and made it hard to actually get food and drink when you wanted it. The spa was beautiful - steam room, sauna, cold shower. However the sauna does not stay on during the day and you have to wait 30 minutes for it to heat up before use. There is a beautiful hot tub in the pineapple greenhouse, but no lights on in the greenhouse so you can't use it after dark.

This was a lovely hotel with beautiful accommodations and friendly and helpful staff. You can really tell they select and train toward global hospitality. We appreciated the environmental efforts made. Food in the bar and Magma restaurant was very good for the most part. The pool was welcome and my husband enjoyed the spa. Having spacious forested grounds inside the city was special. Service in the bar area, even when slow, could have been better. It was highly priced in August, especially for a single hotel room with no couch, kitchenette, etc.

Wir waren vor dem offiziellen check-in da und haben vor Ort auf das Zimmer gewartet, welches um 14 Uhr (offizielles Check in) immer noch nicht fertig war. Uns wurde mitgeteilt es gab halt eben ein Late Check-out von den Gästen davor. Ein Grund dafür, warum wir als Gäste zweiter Klasse behandelt worden sind, wurde nicht genannt, bei knapp 300€ pro Nacht ist es unmögliches Verhalten. Zusätzlich fehlten dann im Zimmer Handtücher fürs Gesicht und den Pool, obwohl wir es der Rezeption mitgeteilt haben, wurden im Laufe des Aufenthalts keine gebracht und nur genervt reagiert. Die Unterkunft ist im allgemeinen sehr schmuddelig und keiner kümmert sich so recht um die Anlage und die Sauberkeit. Am Pool stand der Müll von Vortag 24h land und wurde von niemandem abgeräumt. Wir können diese Unterkunft absolut nicht empfehlen. Man kriegt für das Geld viel bessere Hotels auf der Insel.

We had a lovely stay at Senhora da Rosa. The staff were lovely and helpful and the facilities were great. The pool and spa area was really nice; we had a lot of it to ourselves as most people are out exploring the island. Staying in Ponta Delgada was a great way to explore the island. It was a nice peaceful area although quite a long walk which is just something to bear in mind as we did find it better to eat out during the day and just have something from the bar menu on an evening as it was nice and chilled and had a great selection of cocktails.

The staff were very hard working. Our son had a fever during the stay and they did everything to help him get better. They brought food to the room, they brought a thermometer, changed his sheets and brought plenty of ice and liquids (orange juice and water). I recommend this place to any other travelers.

A beautiful hotel with top notch staff that strive to ensure one wants for nothing - or if you do want, just ask. Restaurants were great. The fantastic free breakfasts really adds to the value. A beautiful lobby and bar (with pooltable!). We didn’t take advantage of the spa but loved spending time in the mineral bath inside their pineapple greenhouse! Great location -close to Ponta Delgado but far enough away, and central to the island. Highly recommend (fyi having been there I would def not want a hotel right in Ponta Delgado - car rentals can be ridiculously cheap)

Very nice hotel. The basic room is perfect for a stay when you don’t expect to spend alot of time in the room. No luxury. Not a nice area to walk around but the best because very central to visit the island. The property and lot is wonderful. Nice pool. Spa building. Basic but all you need for breakfast is included. Very quiet hotel and guest. Feels like nature and that’s what we wanted. 9+/10

We had a lovely stay at Senhora da Rosa. The staff were lovely and helpful and the facilities were great. The pool and spa area was really nice; we had a lot of it to ourselves as most people are out exploring the island. Staying in Ponta Delgada was a great way to explore the island. It was a nice peaceful area although quite a long walk which is just something to bear in mind as we did find it better to eat out during the day and just have something from the bar menu on an evening as it was nice and chilled and had a great selection of cocktails.

A lovely, relaxing retreat. The spa, pool and grounds were inviting and beautiful. The rooms were clean, modern and stylish. The hotel is beautifully designed, with a great breakfast and terrific dining options (loved the sushi restaurant and local cuisine). The staff were very helpful and made the stay comfortable and welcoming.

AMAZING!! I fell in love from the photos and the experience only solidified that. The grounds are gorgeous, the staff is incredibly kind and accommodating, and the dinner food was some of the best we had in the Azores. We stayed in the junior suite and it was divine! The spa area is incredibly relaxing and the pool/hot tub are so much fun! There are some growing pains in food and beverage that could be worked on. Things take a long time and there were some issues with quality at lunch. The surrounding area is hectic with dogs barking and fireworks often but the hotel still feels like an oasis within the hectic cityscape. Overall it’s a truly spectacular property. We would absolutely stay again!

A beautiful hotel with top notch staff that strive to ensure one wants for nothing - or if you do want, just ask. Restaurants were great. The fantastic free breakfasts really adds to the value. A beautiful lobby and bar (with pooltable!). We didn’t take advantage of the spa but loved spending time in the mineral bath inside their pineapple greenhouse! Great location -close to Ponta Delgado but far enough away, and central to the island. Highly recommend (fyi having been there I would def not want a hotel right in Ponta Delgado - car rentals can be ridiculously cheap)

The staff is amazing and we love how peaceful the property is. The atmosphere is serene and we loved the extra attention to detail throughout the stay. The bed and pillows are so comfortable. We loved the food options for breakfast and dinner. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel!

This was a lovely hotel with beautiful accommodations and friendly and helpful staff. You can really tell they select and train toward global hospitality. We appreciated the environmental efforts made. Food in the bar and Magma restaurant was very good for the most part. The pool was welcome and my husband enjoyed the spa. Having spacious forested grounds inside the city was special. Service in the bar area, even when slow, could have been better. It was highly priced in August, especially for a single hotel room with no couch, kitchenette, etc.

We had the pleasure of staying 10 nights at Senhora da Rosa with half board - and we immensely enjoyed both the delicious food at both restaurants and the lovely pool and spa facilities. Despite visiting in november, well out of the vacation season, we lacked for nothing: everyone were extremely polite and acommodating and we had a great time. We will be recommending this hotel to anyone considering visiting the Azores!

The Asian restaurant had a chef that created a beautiful vegan dinner especially for me. The spa services were divine. The facility is beautiful and clean, and the staff very pleasant. Recommended!

Hôtel très bien situé dans le quartier des Musées avec métro et tram tout près. Chambre spacieuse et agréable très bien insonorisée Petit déjeuner buffet complet et très bon Possibilité de dîner sur place Un spa avec sauna, jacuzzi et une piscine dans laquelle on peut faire des longueurs ! Également une salle de sport assez complète ! Et un personnel de l’hôtel souriant, agréable et toujours disposé à aider. Un hôtel au top pour notre sejour

Dyrt hotell til standarden på rom og fasiliteter. Rommet var rent og fint, spesielt badet. Men, det luktet fukt/råte på helle rommet uten at jeg kan forklare hva det kom fra. Frokosten var helt ok. De hadde bra utvalg av frokostblanding, yoghurt og kaker. En kokk stekte egg på bestilling. Savnet muligheten til å spise noe så enkelt som en tomat eller en skive agurk. Bassengområdet var fint, samme med spaet. Padelbanen og området rundt banen kunne trengt litt kjærlighet - hadde blitt mye hyggeligere med noen få grep. Et helt ok hotell, som er rent og sånn sett et trygt valg. Bare dyrt sett opp mot hva du får når det i tillegg er såpass langt fra sentrum.

This hotel was a bit odd. The main parts of the hotel and the outside areas (pool, spa, garden, etc) were quite nice. The pineapple greenhouse with the hottub was a bit sketchy, but we enjoyed a soak after a big hike one day. Room and bathroom not as expected from photos, a bit run down but servicable. Because it is a "nature" hotel there were odd bar shampoos and lotions (which left me wishing I had brought my own) and if you wanted a new pool towel it was 5 euros...but the robes were nice and they left a welcome gift in our room to recognized a special occaision, which was lovely of them. The place felt understaffed...one poor bartender serving all of the bar, dining room and the outdoor pool area (which was a hike for him), and one waitress managing the whole restaurant at dinner and breakfast. Food was pretty good at magma and in the bar. We were disappointed that the front desk staff rarely said hello as we passed by or as we were coming and going throughout the day. For a smallish hotel, it was inpersonal. We were expecting more for the price honestly...overall has a lot of potential but was just OK.

We decided to stay in the garden house to enjoy the greenery and tranquility of our last days of vacation. It is very nice with a spacious balcony and to get a certain jungle feeling in the middle of Ponta Delgada :-) Unfortunately we had to move to another room which was very well organised by the hotel because the neighbour's dog barked all night! The breakfast is great with lots of fresh fruit which we thoroughly enjoyed. Filipa, Ana and their colleague are very friendly and service-minded.
