Hampton Inn & Suites Deptford

The pool was closed. I used this Hampton rather than Washington Twp because of the pool and it was closed.

When we arrived there was no trash can in our room. We went to the pool and it had a very strong harsh chemical smell mixed with chlorine so we couldn’t even enjoy the pool. Then the towels at the pool were the size of dish towels. At the end of the night we called and asked the front desk for more towels and they told us that they didn’t have anymore towels to give out. So we went home to get towels to bring back to the hotel. Why am I paying over $100 for a hotel when I have to go home and get towels ?

The Hampton is a clean, well maintained property. The breakfast buffet is typical fare, very nice, friendly staff keep it well-stocked and clean. Room was clean with a comfy bed. Great equipment in workout facility - even had a peloton! Weird that we stayed there 4 nights but never had any housekeeping service. Other guests would just toss trash in hallway, which staff did clean up within a few hours. Front desk is all business, not particularly friendly. Do not recommend buying anything from the little store. For example - $8 for a small bag of popcorn. There are a lot of chain restaurants and big box stores in the area, and it's convenient to freeway.

Bra frukost nära entreen, där man även kunde ta en kaffe och frukt på väg ut. Stor parkering. En bra bit till Philadelphia city, så transportmedel behövs. Hotell ligger nära trafikerad väg, men det störs inte inomhus. En viss parfymdoft i lokalerna, så är man känslig mot parfymdofter, så kan det vara bra att veta.

The hotel is very nice, updated, quiet and comfortable. The indoor pool was cold, didn’t appear to be heated. Breakfast food was average and not well stocked. Front desk staff was friendly, kind and helpful. TV stations were minimal.

Easy to get parking

I loved that my room was cleaned every day! Breakfast had great options as well. Parking can be a challenge if you try to do so after 8pm

The staff are nice, the beds are comfortable, the property does need some tending as there seems to have been a bit of deferred maintenance. I brought a very disturbing cleaning issue to their attention and I have not heard back since I submitted my email which included photos. Now, I should note that I am a clean freak but using attachments with a vacuum to get close to things like the bed and by dressers is important.

Checked in late in the evening. Room I paid for wasn’t available. Room they gave me didn’t get cleaned. Beds unmade, towels on the floor, TV still on. Elevator broken couldn’t access the door with going through housekeeping elevator door. Just a terrible experience…

We called ahead to confirm our reservation and had the person who answered the phone hang up on us three times. When we arrived for check-in the receptionist managed to put her crochet down long enough to let us know that rooms were overbooked. So, they may not be able to board us, only to find out that there was no issue. Hence unnecessarily stressing us out. The bathroom had prior occupants’ hairs stuck to the shower floor, walls, and toilet. The indoor pool had at least 5 clumps of hair floating around in it. At least one softball team was also staying in the hotel. Late at night they would hang out in the hallways loudly talking and playing catch. There was no apparent effort by the staff to clear the halls when we notified them about it.

The room was in a great location. Somewhat quiet except for dogs barking downstairs. Pillows need to be updated. They are terrible. I believe I said this last time and no change. Cleanliness of room was ok. The bathroom was not cleaned well at all. Not vary impressed with breakfast selection.

Stayed four nites with my brother, room was not cleaned the entire stay. Had to ask for clean towels. Breakfast was ok, but they had no muffins or Danish for breakfast. Two nites had trouble sleeping due to the room next door playing loud music & talking loud at 2am. Called the front desk but they started back with the noise. Area had plenty of dining options.

Stayed for a dance competition in the area. Hotel is nice, clean and convenient. Opt to stay in a room facing the parking lot. The other side has noise coming from the highway.

Internet did not work. How can a property that is primarily used by business people, not have internet service. And when advised it wasn't working the response of the desk clerk was his manager was aware, and that it would hopefully be fixed. I had to go out to a Starbucks to get my work done. I will never go back to this property.

Horrible captive portal wifi that actively tries to prevent any video game system from being networked. Lousy 10mgbs per second. If you need to do anything other than connecting your cell phone than you will have a problem.

Room was comfortable. Beds were slightly better than most hotels, as far as comfort. Close to many restaurants and shopping. The only negative thing I have to say is the layout of the room was kinda awkward with the super heavy barn door on rollers that must have been bent or broken because it took two hands and a lot of muscle, to open and shut the door…and when the bathroom door is open, you can’t get into the closet. Oh….and the bathroom tile gets suuuper slippery when wet. Fall hazard if you ask me.

Everything was fine after 3 nightd until this morning at 5:30 when the heater sounded like a small plane or lawn mower. Reporting this to front desk I was offered a change of room which I declined as I was checking out today anyway just reporting the problem to prevent it from happening to future guests. "Thanks, I gotcha" but never asked my room number.

Helpful, friendly staff. Good location for an event in Sewell. Late check-in was no problem. Non-smoking property. My room was spacious, clean, and well ventilated. Will definitely return.

Inside is getting kind of run down. Wallpaper peeling, worn carpets. Might be time for Hilton to spend some money with normal wear and tear maintenance. Staff is very good. They do a good job.

Everything was good. The parking is limited specially because a lot of people were going to the soccer game in Philly. But overall it was a good experience. The room was very spacious and clean.

After waiting over 15 minutes to check in the front desk, clerk was extremely rude and offered no explanation to the delay. Fine we would’ve been OK with that. We just wanted to get to our room as we were traveling into town for a funeral and we’re exhausted. So imagine our utter shock and dismay when we finally got our key and walked into an already occupied room! I don’t know who is more upset me, and my husband were the person who was trying to take a nap in their bed with all their belongings surrounding them. The ironic thing is the same thing happened to my parents when they checked into the hotel the night before and we chalked it up to a fluke. For this to happen to us on a separate reservation a year 12 hours later is not a fluke. It is a blatant irresponsible way of business. The manager was not at all apologetic and try to blame it on it simply being a mixup with the keys. That very well might be the case before it to happen twice on two separate occasions with two separate reservations in less than 12 hours is not a fluke and completely unacceptable. We did not stay at the hotel. We checked out immediately and demanded a refund and went across the street to the Marriott where they were more than accommodating and we felt safe. That was the main thing was that we did not feel safe and did not feel comfortable staying in a hotel with a possibility that someone else could walk into our room at any given time with no warning

The hotel was simply overwhelmed. Too many guests and unable to cope. When I went to check in a 3:15 pm, I was told rooms were not ready yet and to come back in a half hour. They would not check me in or give a room number. In the next 30 minutes or became clear the hotel as over booked and some people would not get their room. After about an hour I received a room, not the room I booked, but a different room at a slight discount. The room itself was spacious, but the check in process was atrocious. Too bad because the location was great, very convenient for Philly events.

Harrassed by the front desk for unknown reasons. Called five times and door key deactivated during the middle of my multi day stay.

I've stayed at this property a number of times in past years without any issues, but this time was different. I checked in on the app the night beforehand, but once we got to the hotel there were no clean rooms. We weren't alone as there was a logjam of guests waiting for clean rooms, and it was after 3 pm. The next morning the breakfast was seriously lacking. It was the worst I've seen for a Hampton. There was no fruit, no yogurt, no muffins, no bagels, no granola, and no hardboiled eggs. Sure, there was a waffle maker, cereal, red potatoes, sausage patties and mini cheese omelets. I asked the attendant and was told they were all out of the missing foods. The second morning, same story. It was very disappointing. We went across the street to Dunkin and Starbucks respectively.

Hotel is nice and the rooms are spacious and clean. However, something was wrong with their system and they were unable to give out keys to the rooms. Everytime I needed to leave the room and comeback, I had to go to the front desk and ask someone to let me back in. As you can imagine, this was a HUGE inconvenience.

Way off 95, but a little cheaper than others. If we had more time we would have investigated the quainter parts of town. The immediate area has some strip malls that might be useful for items you forgot. No surprises either way for a Hampton inn in terms of features, staff, cleanliness. Oatmeal was too watery so "had" to eat waffles. I also think they were missing oranges. I think the gym had a rowing machine with a water wheel for resistance. It sounded like you were crossing the Delaware and was entertaining watching the water swish around - better than watching the news. Note: the road sign was a little hidden, so pay attention once you see the stop light.

Great location, close to multiple restaurants, fast food, target, the mall and more. We didnt use the pool but looked upkept well. The room was clean with cold AC. Overall a good experience and no complaints.

I booked a double queen room for my wife, daughter and I while visiting my daughter's college. It is in a nice location near food and shopping. The property itself is very nice and very well maintained. Staff was nice and accommodating and the breakfast was the best I have had at a hotel in years.

Everything was good and as expected. Wish breakfast would begin earlier since we had sports competitions to get too. Asked if fruit or muffins could be available amd was told no. All staff were polite and kind.

I've never had an issue at a Hampton Inn & this one was no exception. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, breakfast was decent, (my 11 y.o. gave the omelets 2 thumbs up & had 3 helpings!). EVERYthing was close by: shopping centers, mall, various eateries, Overall a short, pleasant stay.

The breakfast attendant was extremely helpful and very polite.
