The property was convenient but the Air conditioning was out for the duration of my stay. Luckily it was cool enough that the temperature in my room never got above 75 but never dropped below 74. I survived although I keep my room at home at 65. The house keeper gave me a box fan which really helped. I think the convenience still made it worth my stay but I think the inn should have offered me some type of a discount for my inconvenience.

The room was nice. The service is great. The only issue I had was that the AC was not working on a 90°+ day on the top floor. I was unable to sleep, although the shower worked fine. I’d return to the hotel so long as I have reassurance in advance that the AC will be working.

What is not apparent from online search is that Inn on Camac is basically 6 lovely rooms above the UBar at corner of Locust and Camac, and that the checkin is at the bar itself. No problems with staff attention. They took care of the procedure in a minute. The Inn per se has a private entrance on Camac, accessible with the room key card. The rooms are excellent, and the location is perfect.

Like the area .. would have preferred a actual front desk not to have to go to the bar to get service or anything Air condition did not work so it was hot with one window in the bathroom for air the only one that open… Never knew the hotel was located over top of a lgbtq bar ..so kinda loud at times…

Like others have said: I would have easily gave it a five if it weren't for the bar downstairs. I had to wait in the bar for a few minutes because I came during happy hour, although the host/bartender was extremely friendly, and offered a drink while I waited, it was a bit awkward having to sign paperwork at the bar. The music also goes till 2 am. I was able to drown out the noise by turning the TV volume up, but both nights I was woken up around 1:30 by the same three people yelling and scream laughing in the alley, not sure if they were employees of a business there or what. Even though I didn't need to use it, my refrigerator didn't work, and there's not really a way to report it, so I had warm drinks I bought the night before. TDLR: very clean, comfortable rooms with nice security, but very unprofessional feeling.

Good location for gayborhood, street facing rooms noisy on a weekend night. operated through U-bar downstairs, odd to arrive during rush hour at the bar. some things didn't work- heat system was out, they gave us an uncleaned space heater. The water pressure was odd, pulsing in the shower. The safe battery was out and had to be replaced to work for us. Bed was decent but with a shin-buster frame design. They offered bag storage service for the day.

The AC didn't drop below 80 for about 7 hours. some random hairs that weren't mine in the bathroom. No idea wifi code (wasn't given to me by bartender when I checked in). No idea when checkout is. Nice place if you just want a bed to lay in but if you want a little more hi-touch look elsewhere.

Very clean, convenient, affordable, has a quirky charm. It's in a great nightlife area, hotel is a handful of rooms on two floors above a gay bar. If you've lived in a big city and expect street noise you'll be fine but previous reviews are accurate, the patrons below can be a bit rowdy at 2am. Music from downstairs was faint, easy enough to drown out with a white noise app on my phone. Check in is a very informal process at the bar. I'd stay again, thought it was great value and location. Impeccably clean.

Veramente sporco. Lenzuola macchiate e piene i peli e capelli, come se fossero già state usate. Le salviette del bagno erano ancora umide e pure quelle macchiate. Tutta la stanza dava un senso di sporco, a partire dalla moquette grigia, terribile. Inoltre eravamo senza carta igienica, nel senso che in dotazione ci hanno lasciato solo un rotolo praticamente finito e null'altro. Inoltre impossibile fare il checkout e lasciare in deposito i bagagli prima delle 11 del mattino, che è molto limitante se uno volesse uscire e fare un giro prima della partenza

Super cute inn! Would stay again. Take note its not an accessible building, stairs only for the three story building with the inn being the second and third floor. Saw some stains on the comforter (pillows, sheets and everything else in the room was super clean though!) and the temperature fan controls in the room were a touch finiky but i figured it out and it was very effective once on. I adored the location! super easy to walk to many historical sites, shopping and food. Take note its above a bar so the evenings are kinda loud but was fine for me. I'd stay here again for a really central location at a good price! The area also felt very safe and clean too

Exactly what I needed for the night for the price! Comfy bed and linens. I sleep with Bose Sleepbuds so I knew the noise wouldn’t bother me. Check-in was easy and friendly. Couldn’t get the room wifi to work but I was only in the room a few hours total so I didn’t care. Mind the protruding wooden bed frame when you walk in room 3 - your shins will thank you 😆 ROOM 3 HVAC worked fine. Would stay again!

The code for the Wi-Fi didn’t work which I discovered at midnight as my room was shaking from the music booming downstairs as our room was directly over a bar. The noise from music and bar guests and horns honking went on until about 3.30 when I managed a couple of hours sleep before at 7 or 8 when furniture was being what sounds like tossed around the bar and then more booming music started. I honestly don’t know how this is supposed to be a hotel because it was nearly impossible to sleep and lord knows I tried! The area is great and if you are looking to flop somewhere after a night of drinking at 4am this might work but didn’t work for me.

The property was perfect for our stay. It’s above the bar so yes there is some noise until closing time. Was not bothersome. Bed was comfy. I would stay again.

This is a lovely property but there were a few issues. As others stated, because most dealings are with the bar downstairs, timing is limiting. We had no issues with checkin, except one of our card keys didn’t work. An app was offered, but was challenging. The room was large, comfortable, and well appointed. However, the noise level in this area of town on a Thur-Sat was very loud, particularly between 12am-2am, which is our prime sleep time. The room next door was very loud. This is a GREAT property for younger folks enjoying the vibe and energy of locust st. I think for our age, a hotel in a quieter area might be a better fit. But the Inn itself was lovely!

Well my flight to Philly got cancelled. During the delays to flight I could not reach anyone with the hotel to know how to check in for arrival after 2am. I left a message and no one ever called back. So even if the flight had happened I wouldn’t have been able to check in. Since then I’ve left another voicemail and sent 2 messages trying to see if there is anything we can do for a refund. The only thing I’ve received from them is a bill for a stay I never made.

Check-in was a hot mess: the "app" that was supposed to automatically upload my key did not. No signage or way to know where to go. Finally someone directed me to the bartender at the bar below who was nice and got me to my room. Room was basically a bed, chair, and bathroom. Nice but basic. Immediately found a dirty cleaning rag in the sink. Eww. Heater would not shut off (registered 79* in the room and climbing) ... was so warm I had to go back to the bar and find a manager who basically told me to "Oh yeah it\'s broken. Turn it off and it will eventually reset itself. Open the windows and grab a drink somewhere til it cools down!" Ummmm ok. Wanted to find someone the morning of checkout to see about a late checkout or to get a receipt but zero humans around to talk to. Just left and hoped for the best. Overall the location is great for nightlife and it was surprisingly quiet and comfortable, but it was basically like sleeping in a friend\'s guest room with zero extras (not even a free welcome drink from downstairs?). You can find other places close by with more amenities for the same price.

Turn it off and it will eventually reset itself. Open the windows and grab a drink somewhere til it cools down!" Ummmm ok. Wanted to find someone the morning of checkout to see about a late checkout or to get a receipt but zero humans around to talk to. Just left and hoped for the best. Overall the location is great for nightlife and it was surprisingly quiet and comfortable, but it was basically like sleeping in a friend\'s guest room with zero extras (not even a free welcome drink from downstairs?). You can find other places close by with more amenities for the same price.

This place was very cute. We felt safe in the neighborhood and it was walking distance to a lot of things. Make sure you arrive during the hours listed as it’s a bar you’re checking in to. We enjoyed the stay and when we were upset about not being able to take a shower bc of a water heater issue, the hotel reimbursed our stay. We will definitely be back given the honest treatment and the great accommodations.

I loved this hotel. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Couldn’t ask for a better location, close to reading terminal market, and not far from downtown.

On arrival, it was not apparent that the doorway is up the alley with no signage to direct. I rang the bell. The bartender in the bar under the inn could not hear it. Called customer service they hung up on me. Very small room. No desk as pictured in all website photos. No wifi despite advertised. Room was clean and nicely decorated. Very nice bathroom. Water temp warm at best. Curtains broken in room — no privacy. Drunken people from bar below shouting in alley until late at night. I decided to cut my visit short from three to one night. Called customer service line before checkout time. No answer. Have messaged three different ways. No answer. Have still been billed for three nights. Avoid this place.

Good room. Great bed. Goood value. Great location for our trip. Zero staff presence. Checkin procedure was successful, but haphazard and so byzantine. Pleasant single staff we encountered by chance. Received special code to enter building and room after checkout!!! Knowing the idiosyncratic check in and limited, amenities, we'd stay there again for value & location to cultural center & restaurants.

Very respectful of my privacy. Slight problem with the booking and the manager fixed it immediately. Loved staying over a bar, it did get a little loud around closing . Absolutely recommend. A fun place

Very charming rooms, the bar staff was super friendly and accommodating for check in and check out. Just be aware that you're above a gay bar so you might hear a little music until the bar closes.

Very clean, convenient, affordable, has a quirky charm. It's in a great nightlife area, hotel is a handful of rooms on two floors above a gay bar. If you've lived in a big city and expect street noise you'll be fine but previous reviews are accurate, the patrons below can be a bit rowdy at 2am. Music from downstairs was faint, easy enough to drown out with a white noise app on my phone. Check in is a very informal process at the bar. I'd stay again, thought it was great value and location. Impeccably clean.

Needed a place to stay close to the Kimmel Center and found the Inn on Camac. Could not have asked for a better experience. Nice staff. Great room. Easy walking distance to where I needed to go. Will certainly stay here again!

The inn at camac is hidden in a small alley that reeks of urine. To enter I had to go through a very tight bar to get to the main door because I was afraid of the alley.

My husband and I had a fantastic stay. This inn is situated in a convenient location close to everything. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The room is super cute, and the bed is extremely comfortable. Despite the city noises, we had a great night of sleep.

Check-in was a hot mess: the "app" that was supposed to automatically upload my key did not. No signage or way to know where to go. Finally someone directed me to the bartender at the bar below who was nice and got me to my room. Room was basically a bed, chair, and bathroom. Nice but basic.
