The Hôtel Château Saint-Gilles was absolutely stunning. The grounds were immaculately cared for and the rooms were modern and spacious. The location of this hotel requires a rental car. We did not have one and had to use taxis/Ubers to get into the town of Bayeux that were very expensive. One major frustration for us was that we booked two rooms and the rooms were not near each other at all-in fact they were in separate buildings. When we asked for one of the rooms to be moved, they said they did not have availability. Typically, when a family books two rooms, they need or want to be near each other. We had breakfast at the hotel one morning and found it quite disappointing for the price. We chose to eat breakfast in Bayeux following that. We were here for a short stay and wish we had more time to explore the amenities the hotel had to offer.

Fabulous chateau!!!! The staff was so helpful. They were able to get me a driver for the following day to take us all over...perfect way to get around and see all the WWII museum, beaches, cemetery, etc. The breakfast was excellent. We had dinner there also and it was outstanding. I will be coming back and will be sending my friends there to stay. IT's a winner!!!!!!

A hidden gem only 9 minutes from the center of Bayeux! Gorgeous property in a charming village. Rooms and grounds were tastefully decorated in a traditional with a modern twist style. Very elegant. Much better than it appears on their website. I highly recommend if going to DDay tour or exploring Normandy.

Ett mycket fint boende på behändigt avstånd från Bayeux. Lugn och avkopplande atmosfär. En bra restaurang som kan rekommenderas för trerätters middag.
