We loved the detail in the decor of this property. It was so cool and kitschy every where you looked. The bed was super comfortable and the huge rain shower was fantastic. We are a big hot tub fan and it did not disappoint with a great heat level and ample jets. Also enjoyed the heated pool it felt heavenly even though the weather was a bit cool. We appreciated the little Smeg fridge that really kept stuff cold and a few complementary beverages and snacks to keep us going. There were some great places to eat within walking distance, Rick’s, Boozehounds and Arrive poolside. Plus a nice walking trail about a mile away that gave us a fabulous view of the valley. Thanks for everything Mahala!

We totally loved Mahala it is a small private hotel ..we stay for one night and we didn’t want to leave,service was excellent we even had snacks and drinks free of charge ..the security on the property is a plus and the pool 24 hrs was perfect for us ..

What we liked: Front desk staff friendly & helpful. Quiet & relaxed vibe. The room was large, private bath - very clean and nicely done. Bed was comfortable. Complimentary drinks & snacks. The courtyard with lounge chairs and pool areas are clean and well maintained. What we didn’t like (we are being picky): The lobby was small and kind of dark. There were dying orchid plants on the shelf. We arrived on a Wednesday, the pool & hot tub was not cleaned - a lot of flowers & leaves dropped from a nearby tree - settled at the bottom of the pools. Although they did clean it Friday; we did not get to enjoy that amenity more than we wanted to. The pool and hot tub probably need some updating too. The driveway going in and out of hotel parking is one-way. When driving out, had to be careful not to drive straight into the street - coz that’s part of the sidewalk/curb - the driveway curves to the left. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Ein wunderschönes, ruhiges Hotel mit einem tollen Vibe. Die Zimmer sind total gemütlich, toll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Der Service und die Einführung ins Hotel waren perfekt. Der Pool ist schön ruhig und man kann sehr gut entspannen und die Sonne genießen. Parken kann man direkt hinter dem Hotel. Die Anlage ist einfach nur toll, wir haben wirklich nichts auszusetzen - alles war perfekt! 10/10, wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Check in was really easy, we needed extra towels during our stay and they were brought quickly. Pool and jacuzzi area was clean and well maintained. Overall property was quiet and clean within a short drive of the downtown Palm Springs district. Would stay again.

A very modern hotel. In a quiet location. Not far to drive to downtown from there. Easy to check-in and check-out. Has a nice little pool with a jacuzzi which is great for cooling down in the hot weather. We would stay there again.

I stayed for my bday and they received me with a cake. Karima was great, always helpful, and willing to help. The room has great vibes, the exterior is comfortable and it's located in a great place. Great pool and easy parking. My only recommendation is to improve their housekeeping service because it was a bit bad (they forgot to give me new towels and didn't clean much). Other than that, it was a great stay and fully recommend it.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Very well maintained. Staff was friendly and welcoming. First thing that stood out was the decor ( loved it) secondly it smelled fresh and clean. Would absolutely recommend if you’re staying in Palm Springs. Really close to downtown area. They left snacks and drinks and we really enjoyed.

I just had a great experience at Mahala. Súper easy check-in and check-out. Everything is new and everything is super clean. And in the room there even was a basket with snacks and sweets as a welcome (and drinks in the fridge)! Great place to stay in Palm Springs!

I’d definitely stay here again. The check in was super easy, the facility and rooms were immaculate and very quiet. Gives off the modern melrose place vibes! Loved it!!!!

The rooms are great and spacious, luxurious showers, the only negative with the room is the vanity lighting. It’s dark and the vanity is deep so very tricky if you want to apply makeup, a lighted makeup mirror would be an easy fix. Housekeeping communications could be better too, we requested no housekeeping one day and they still provided service and the only day out of five that we did want it, no one ever serviced our room. The design of the entire place is fantastic. Also, the fireplace in the courtyard never worked, would have been nice to enjoy that each night with a drink in hand in the courtyard.

Great place to stay in Palm Springs. Scott at check in was particularly helpful and friendly. The rooms had a cool retro Palm Springs vibe and it was quiet and felt safe. Rooms were very clean. Would stay again.

Nice hotel, room was nice but the mattress was a little too springy. Also a shelf outside the shower would be nice to place dry clothes.

Property was cute and quaint. Staff was welcoming and always helpful. Room was cute. While I love a sisal rug, I didn’t so much love it on my bare feet. I would say the number one thing that I felt would have helped the room was simply a luggage rack. There was not really a good surface to open up your luggage and storage was minimal. Fantastic shower but would be great to have toiletries in larger containers attached to the wall as there was only a small basket shelf in the shower that kept falling off. Just a few details would definitely bump this spot up and overall it was really great and comfortable!

Such a stylish, cute, boutique hotel. Beautiful patio and lounge area. Room was great, snacks & beverages were offered at no additional charge plus a refrigerator in the room was great. The only thing I could comment on is the carpeting, not very comfy & a bit abrasive on bare feet so make sure to pack slippers!

Really cool unique affordable hotel! Close to downtown shops and great food! Staff was friendly and accommodating. Bed was comfy and loved the decor. Only issue is is we kept having internet issues and a friendly tip: bring sandals to walk in your room because the carpet hurts your feet 😆

The pros: beautiful room, beautiful property, secure, serene, peaceful. Free snacks drinks and good coffee. Cons: juke floor is gorgeous but not comfy. No full length mirror or any mirror in room except bathroom. Air conditioner did not cool room down enough due the day. We had it down to 62 and it was still hot. At night it worked great but was incredibly loud which made it difficult to get a good nights sleep.

Very stylish with excellent design. Each room has different design. Very easy to check in and out. Appreciated the welcome snacks and drinks. Very quiet and private. Good restaurants across the street. Close to airport and downtown. Doesn’t even seem like a hotel. Would have liked a full length mirror as well as a magnifying makeup mirror.

We stayed here over Thanksgiving night. I would say the property and room were satisfactory. The check in was excellent, the clerk on duty was extremely professional and nice and took me on a tour of the property and room with attention to details (ice machine, pool, shower in room, keys, complimentary snacks and drinks, etc.). The less than great part was sleeping. The room had no noise from any hotel guests (which is rare these days) but during the night the A/C kept turning on and off and there was an annoying flashing light above. Also, it seems this property is near an airport, and you can hear the low rumbling sound of jets taking off through the night. In fairness, none of these are the fault of the hotel. The property entrance/lobby is right on the main highway, and when you enter the hotel you drive up the round driveway, check-in and then steer your vehicle around a narrow driveway leading to back. The neighborhood has a kind of up-and-coming hipster vibe with an excellent coffee place named Cartel a few doors down, and a sushi/whisky restaurant across the street. We had the coffee, and it was very good, expensive but good. Like most places in California now, Palm Springs is full of homeless people, vagrants, down-and-out individuals. They are in this neighborhood too, so you have to exercise some caution during the day, and especially at night.

Our 2nd time staying at mahal. Mostly another great stay, only complaint is the A/C was struggling to keep up with the weather which 100°. Customer service here is amazing! Room decor and over all vibe of hotel is great! Love all the complimentary goodies.

The facade is easy to miss, as it is somewhat minimalist in design. The inside, and courtyard and rooms are well designed and modern, and like a small oasis. Where do I even begin? Let's start with I'm not even done with my stay and I'm giving this 5 stars. From before I even arrived communication was prompt and pleasant bordering on joyful. They texted me a few times confirming my stay and expressing excitement. I checked in after the office hours and the directions sent ahead of time were clear and easy to follow. As soon as I walked in I was struck by how beautiful the public area and pool were. It was like walking into a mid-century dream and I hadn't even gotten into my room! Speaking of, what a charming and delightful room. The decor was on point, the bed comfortable and yummy snacks and water on top of it all! I'm already planning my next stay. Keep it up Mahala!

Staff went above and beyond! They’re very friendly. My room that I was originally given the a/c was not working very well. They not only moved us to a different room that was an upgrade no charge, they immediately got to work on the air conditioner that didn’t work to make available to others.

Scott was very personable and responsive. He gave great recommendations and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. The property is also very quiet and peaceful.

If you're looking for gorgeous outdoor spaces and comfy rooms, you've found it. A quick stroll from the main downtown area and ample parking in the back. Mahala is stunning and affordable, two things that don't exist is Palm Springs.

Brand new property so they were still dialing in some details like hot water on demand and final plantings, but super cool and comfortable design. Walkable to Boozehounds, Sandfish, 1501. One of the most beautifully and thoughtfully designed micro hotels I've stayed at in PS.

This place is a gem. Located within walking distance to many great coffee and food options, yet far away enough that it’s like a quiet haven by the pool and hot tub. Will definitely book to stay here again when we visit Palm Springs.

The facade is easy to miss, as it is somewhat minimalist in design. The inside, and courtyard and rooms are well designed and modern, and like a small oasis. Some good diners and restaurants across the street, and the location is a short drive to the center of town. The hosts are very nice and accommodating. Beds are super comfortable and the shower was new and large.

We loved the detail in the decor of this property. It was so cool and kitschy every where you looked. The bed was super comfortable and the huge rain shower was fantastic. We are a big hot tub fan and it did not disappoint with a great heat level and ample jets. Also enjoyed the heated pool it felt heavenly even though the weather was a bit cool. We appreciated the little Smeg fridge that really kept stuff cold and a few complementary beverages and snacks to keep us going. There were some great places to eat within walking distance, Rick’s, Boozehounds and Arrive poolside. Plus a nice walking trail about a mile away that gave us a fabulous view of the valley. Thanks for everything Mahala!

Such a stylish, cute, boutique hotel. Beautiful patio and lounge area. Room was great, snacks & beverages were offered at no additional charge plus a refrigerator in the room was great. The only thing I could comment on is the carpeting, not very comfy & a bit abrasive on bare feet so make sure to pack slippers!

What we liked: Front desk staff friendly & helpful. Quiet & relaxed vibe. The room was large, private bath - very clean and nicely done. Bed was comfortable. Complimentary drinks & snacks. The courtyard with lounge chairs and pool areas are clean and well maintained. What we didn’t like (we are being picky): The lobby was small and kind of dark. There were dying orchid plants on the shelf. We arrived on a Wednesday, the pool & hot tub was not cleaned - a lot of flowers & leaves dropped from a nearby tree - settled at the bottom of the pools. Although they did clean it Friday; we did not get to enjoy that amenity more than we wanted to. The pool and hot tub probably need some updating too. The driveway going in and out of hotel parking is one-way. When driving out, had to be careful not to drive straight into the street - coz that’s part of the sidewalk/curb - the driveway curves to the left. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

This is a brand new property so very modern and clean. It is reasonably priced and easy to get to and park in the back. There is a walkable restaurant for well priced breakfast as the property doesn’t have a restaurant. It was nice and quiet when we were there. There is a risk of noise as all rooms face in towards the pool and fire pit area.

We had a wonderful stay at Mahala in Palm Springs, it was everything we wanted from our stay and more. The room was a really good size for the two of us, and the mini fridge full of yummy treats was a really lovely surprised (and a novelty for us Brits who had to try everything because we're obsessed with American snacks!) The property was beautifully designed and we loved the attention to detail which made our stay super comfortable and relaxing. The outside pool was pretty chilly (but it was only early March and an ideal way to cool off after a hike!) but the hot tub was beautifully warm and welcoming. The staff were all super friendly and personable, we felt well looked after and they even had recommendations for us for hiking trails. We liked that the hotel was slightly away from the main central street as we found it quiet and peaceful. If you're looking to eat somewhere a short walkaway, we'd highly recommend Boozehounds - the most delicious food, in a gorgeously designed but super dog friendly setting. We'd love to come back again one day!

I just had a great experience at Mahala. Súper easy check-in and check-out. Everything is new and everything is super clean. And in the room there even was a basket with snacks and sweets as a welcome (and drinks in the fridge)! Great place to stay in Palm Springs!

The decor is thoughtfully designed, with succulent greenery and vibrant yellow flowering trees that create a serene and inviting atmosphere. I loved the individualized entryways to each room, the welcome basket, and the fully stocked fridge—every detail felt personal and intentional. The pool and hot tub were both refreshing and relaxing, perfect for unwinding. The staff was excellent—attentive, friendly, and consistently checked in to make sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. This boutique hotel has easily become my absolute favorite, and I can’t wait to come back!

Hôtel seulement pour adulte très agréable, jolie décoration. La chambre est moderne avec un petit panier de bienvenue très apprécié. Elle est équipée d’une petit frigo SMEG, d’une cafetière également avec capsules qui sont offerts. La piscine est petite, c’est vraiment juste pour se rafraîchir. J’ai aimé cet hôtel et je le recommande vivement. Accueil chaleureux, personnel agréable.

What an amazing place! Super cute and intimate! Very clean and comfortable. Check in and out was extremely fast and easy. They make you feel like family! Highly recommend! We will be back for sure! A little piece of heaven!

What stands out about Mahala is the attention to detail. There was NOTHING that I thought could have been better. The room was nicely appointed, but it was so efficient - plenty of storage, places to put things, set up my computer, etc. The a/c worked well (important in August in Palm Springs), great water pressure. Even little things like there was a battery powered lantern just in case the power went out I guess - not needed, but if it had been, what a detail. Snacks and drinks were provided in the room at no cost. There are codes provided for the gates to the property so check-in/out is possible after hours. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Plenty of parking. Highly recommended!
