Great stay, very comfortable room which was lovely and clean. Great food, reasonably priced. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Good carpark right across the road and easy access to surrounding area. Will definitely recommend and stay again.

Plenty to see locally. Arts and crafts, great pubs and stunning scenery. Free parking opposite the hotel. A decent selection of locally made beers and a great selection of meals in the restaurant.

Good location for Snowdon and pen-y-pass car park. Close to Betwy’s-coed. Helpful staff. Very very soft bed which meant an uncomfortable nights sleep. No fridge in room. Room by fire door in hallway so constantly banging closed anytime it was used. Room didn’t feel premium as paid for. Pub restaurant food was well cooked and tasty. Bar had a lively atmosphere but not too noisy

We stayed for one night, arriving after 9pm. Check-in was quick and efficient. We had a pleasant stay in a family room with very comfortable beds. Although we didn’t use the dining facilities, we were greeted by the aroma of delicious food upon arrival. The free car park is a great feature, and the hotel’s location is peaceful and lovely. Thank you.

The Hotel is undergoing a major refit in the kitchen and surrounding the hotel, the hotel should be shut or compensate the people staying whilst they are staying at Tyn-y-Coed Hotel, I am sure the hotel will be fabulous because the rooms are lovely, clean & comfortable but my question to the management is Should we be paying the same money as when the hotel is complete with out the diggers starting up early in the morning and work when shouting to eachother over the noise? The staff are very nice, apologising for the lack of a kitchen (food) , the room is lovely clean and tidy...Just disappointed with our first stay in that part of Wales

Great location. Fantastic welcoming staff- very knowledgeable and helpful. The pub and restaurant downstairs is proper homey and cozy. Fire places roaring from morning to night! Breakfast of locally sourced tasty ingredients- yum. Drying rooms. Local beers and cider. Gives way more than the description. Lots of board games etc to play and also pool table. Great artwork displayed throughout

There are many hotels, motels and bunkhouses in the north of wales, there are not many that are classy and have great people working in them, this place is very good and the food and bar is excellent, we will return after the refurb.

Very smart exterior, reception very clean and modern. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food excellent (we had food for the 3 nights we were there plus breakfast) all food was cooked to order. Ample car parking across the road (free for guests).

Our 2 night stay at the Tyn-y-Coed Hotel was very enjoyable. The room was spacious & extremely clean, as was our en-suite shower room. The king size bed was comfortable and we had plenty of pillows, so relaxing was easy. The Mountain View was awesome to wake up to. The food in the restaurant was delicious & fresh, and the staff were very helpful & efficient, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for making our visit to Wales so enjoyable and stress free.

We stayed for two nights to climb Yr Wyddfa (snowdon) and explore the local area. The staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful. The downstairs pub/restaurant and reception area as well as exterior looked like they had been recently renovated. We only had drinks there but the food looked nice and they had a good menu selection. However, the upstairs accommodation looked like it had not been touched in 40 years. The corridor and room smelt very old and unclean, and in desperate need of complete renovation. The room itself had paper thin walls and we could hear the people next door on both sides of our room throughout the nights. The bed was creaky and had a topper to hide the state of mattress which was so old and soft that if one of us moved slightly we'd both move. It was not a pleasant sleep. The rooms desperately need updating, it was a shame as the rest of the hotel was lovely.

In the perfect place for what i was doing. Noisy extractor fan or something similar kept me awake (not mine as I made sure bathroom light was off). Bathroom cabinet needed replaced, mirror was peeling. Curtains would not close properly and were hung two different ways on the one window. Breakfast was 8-10am, disappointed not started earlier. Evening menu was very poor for a vegetarian - only one option which was beans ! there was also one vegan option also, but vegan is NOT a second option for a vegetarian, two totally different dietary requirements. A shame they did not offer you a chance to say no to fresh towels each day..

I stayed here whilst on a photography trip. I was only here one night. Firstly I want to note the staff were absolutely excellent, very friendly and informative. FOOD I had an evening meal in the pub downstairs which consisted on a Cajun chicken burger , chips and coleslaw. This was really delicious with a lovely chicken breast beautifully cooked. For breakfast I had a three egg omelette with cheese and onion. This was possibly the best omelette I have ever had. It was so tasty and “moist” (gross word but accurately sums it up) The breakfast server was great. COMFORT The bed was a firmer mattress which really suits me and I slept really well. The pillows were just right with no lumps. A simple to use heater in the room kept the temperature comfortable. The pub downstairs could have done with a few more soft chairs. The roaring fires in the evening and following morning were perfect though. ROOM The room had a TV on the wall which I didn’t use and tea coffee and hot chocolate with a kettle. The shower was a walk in one and shampoo and shower gel was provided. So these are my only two very slight groans. The shower was very weak and difficult to find hot. Also the wifi was in and out all evening. That said these are Minor groans for what was a very well priced hotel for the location to Snowdonia and the staff and food were top notch.

Warm welcome and friendly staff great throughout my stay. Good food, but some dishes expensive. (£18 for cheese & biscuits! Portion was huge so really a sharing plate, but better to halve portion & price.) Only real negative was that rooms were noisy - you could hear a mouse fart in the neighbouring bedroom!

A comfortable overnight stay, with a good vegetarian menu, helpful staff and a very nice refurbishment, which I believe has only recently been carried out. And as promised, a good view of Moel Siabod from the premium bedroom. Well at least on this occasion of clear, rain free weather! I’d certainly consider staying again.

It’s a lovely place, friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are a bit dated and small but we was not too bothered as didn’t stay in it a lot. Minimal channels on TV. Breakfast was extra charge but was big and at you up for the day. I would stay again

The hotel is ok. Pleasant staff. But a bit of a 'Pub with rooms' feel to it. So the decor and decoration upstairs mirrors the slightly worn Coaching Inn look downstairs. The whole place is right on the main A5 so having our room window open was not an option, ( Could be stifling in mid summer) although we did have a great view of the mountains. Our room and the bathroom were clean and comfortable enough but very small. The bathroom in particular, although spotless seemed minute...the door opening onto the loo which itself was hard up against a wall.....so very cramped. Food was ordered at the bar and was pretty much standard pub grub.

The room walls were so thin I could hear all the conversations from next door, including their alarm clock and the 4 times they snoozed it. The bed was cheap, soft & uncomfortable. The rooms had cheap furnishings. Definitely not worth the money they charge & no early breakfast option. I wish I’d just gone to a local b&b at £30 cheaper.

Some staff were very friendly and efficient, others not so much. Would be better if breakfast were included within the price from the get go. The hotel is pretty secluded in that there are alternative hostelries to explore locally. However, if you are prepared to drive then Bettws y Coed is quite close. This hotel is the perfect launching place to walk Moel Siabod.

We stayed for one night, arriving after 9pm. Check-in was quick and efficient. We had a pleasant stay in a family room with very comfortable beds. Although we didn’t use the dining facilities, we were greeted by the aroma of delicious food upon arrival. The free car park is a great feature, and the hotel’s location is peaceful and lovely. Thank you.

From check in to check out the stay was amazing, staff so friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to make it a great stay, from recommending walks, finding games for us and reserving us a table for dinner when we had forgotten to. Food was actually the best I’ve had in a long time, proper wholesome home cooked and tasty. Bed, room and bathroom all clean and comfortable. The staff are an absolute credit to this place, very welcoming.

Good location for Snowdon and pen-y-pass car park. Close to Betwy’s-coed. Helpful staff. Very very soft bed which meant an uncomfortable nights sleep. No fridge in room. Room by fire door in hallway so constantly banging closed anytime it was used. Room didn’t feel premium as paid for. Pub restaurant food was well cooked and tasty. Bar had a lively atmosphere but not too noisy

The hotel is lovely, under 20 minutes drive from several trails of Snowdon, and although it is on the busy A5, the rooms are quiet. The food and drinks were excellent, if a little on the expensive side. And the hotel is a 10 minute drive outside Betws-Y-Coed, so if you want a change of venue for your meal, it means driving, we would have used the local bus service but it stopped running after 7pm. There are some nice walking routes around the hotel too.

Excellent service. The lady on reception was super friendly and helpful and was efficiently training a new starter. We booked a table for an evening meal which was delicious.

In the perfect place for what i was doing. Noisy extractor fan or something similar kept me awake (not mine as I made sure bathroom light was off). Bathroom cabinet needed replaced, mirror was peeling. Curtains would not close properly and were hung two different ways on the one window. Breakfast was 8-10am, disappointed not started earlier. Evening menu was very poor for a vegetarian - only one option which was beans ! there was also one vegan option also, but vegan is NOT a second option for a vegetarian, two totally different dietary requirements. A shame they did not offer you a chance to say no to fresh towels each day..

Warm welcome and friendly staff great throughout my stay. Good food, but some dishes expensive. (£18 for cheese & biscuits! Portion was huge so really a sharing plate, but better to halve portion & price.) Only real negative was that rooms were noisy - you could hear a mouse fart in the neighbouring bedroom!

The room was nice, clean, and quiet for our 3-night stay. Parking across the street is not a problem. The pub had great food for dinner and breakfast. Dragon pie was a hit as was the Sunday roast lamb. All the hiking activities we plan were easy and quick to get to. We would definitely stay here again.

The en suite was very nicely appointed and had a walk in shower. The room was not large but it was perfectly adequate for our few days there. We were a little surprised that there were no drawers or cupboards, just a fold out arm for clothes hangers (which we had fortunately brought with us!) and a bedside shelf. No aircon in the bedroom but fans were provided. There was a boot tray - ideal for walkers The general decor was in good condition as it had been refurbished only a couple of years ago. Parking was free in the car park across the road if you registered your vehicle with the hotel on arrival. Although the hotel is on the A5 road it was not noisy, but then our room was at the back. The manager kindly changed our room because the first one had a shower in bath arrangement and we had requested and had confirmed a walk in shower. The food was nice and all the staff were really pleasant and helpful. We would be happy to stay here again the future.

I have stayed in hundreds of hotels around the world and I can honestly say that the staff were the best I have ever experienced. The room was lovely, clean and well decorated although needed more storage for clothes and bathroom toiletries. Some thought needs to go into the access to the disabled room as the paintwork is likely to be scratched by wheelchairs and walkers trying to get through the door to the two end rooms (particularly for clients without helpers) which would be a shame. The food was excellent for every meal with interesting and very tasty meals. Ample parking spaces and bus stops outside made for easy travelling.

Very welcoming and friendly,the staff were all lovely & immediately attentive for any queries,can't thank them enough. It makes such a difference when travelling on your own. The rooms are very nicely decorated with plenty of tea & a coffee machine,& fresh water provided. A bit warm but they gave me a fan. Beautifully clean,good shower & the toiletries provided smell lovely! Downstairs has an old-fashioned pub vibe with different areas for eating and is always busy,but the food is very good,and the (Madog) ale was very well-kept. Only downside is the busy A5 outside,but the windows are well-equipped to keep most of the noise out. Plenty of parking(free to guests). Breakfast is extra cost but good when it came.
