The property was sub par for its location to the beach. For the price per night, I would have hoped for a bed that wasn't springs. It was painful to sleep and made noise every time u turned. The room smelled like animal urine and had a damp feeling to it. The shower had hair left in it. The hallway where our room was smelled horrible as well, probably since the carpet never gets cleaned. Again, for that price I expected a little better room. Obviously I didn't pay for the Waldorf, but I paid for something higher than a "hourly rate" motel.

Room was dated and in poor condition. Rusty tub drain, A/C sounded like a jet engine, toilet did not flush well, bugs in the room, stains on bedspread, etc. The location is great - right next to Colonial Beach and easy walk to many restaurants- but that does not overcome the poor condition of the room. I would not stay there again.

The staff was amazing. Location couldn't have been any better! Of course there were a few little things that weren't "excellent" around the property but didn't bother us at all and didn't affect our stay. Can't wait until the next time we come to Colonial Beach. We will definitely stay here again. The staff made our stay a 10/10.

A lot of issues with flies and gnats. We kept our door closed. Not sure how they were getting in.

The room we stayed in wasn’t really bad however the cops were called because the desk clerk got mad at a customer that told him about blood stains on one of the beds. I would be very upset if blood was on the bed I was sleeping in. The cop that came said he would of went off about it too. The ice machine had no ice in it. Also, the price of one night is ridiculous, I could understand if it were Virginia Beach but come on almost $300 a night for the Bay Area. It’s beautiful in Colonial Beach but they really need to lower those prices. The motel needs some upgrades and some work done to the leaking ceilings but it’s was not awful.
