Room is very small. Brochure said breakfast and lake front but there was no breakfast and it was lake view. Lake was not easy access. Rooms are not worth the money.

This was a gem of a place to find. It was small and lovely. The room felt like a cabin on the lake. The walk to the lake was easy and the lakefront area was perfect. The staff was lovely and so helpful and kind.

The stay was ok. They shower could use a new shower head for water pressure adjustments. Couldn’t enjoy shower because water go everywhere. The carpet could use some cleaning . Curtains missing at door windows. Bright light in room while sleeping. The lake is just a distance view

Everything was great, easy check-in and check-out, friendly staff, room overlooking lake was very clean and comfortable. Absolutely no issues, would definitely stay here again.

I liked) 1) the proximity to Glimmerglass Opera Festival. 2) Friendly staff. 3) Not noisy. Several negative things were: 1) Very strong disinfectant/cleaning liquid odor for the first two days of our 4-day stay. 2) Description of amenities is inaccurate: no paddle wheel boats (which were advertised on signage). 3) Breakfast, as is advertised, is really a toaster and microwave in the motor inn office. No Bread, butter, condiments, or place to sit. 4) Shower stall was about 30" x 30", which is dangerously small space to pick up a dropped bar of soap. 5) We were not allowed TO eat at the picnic table by the water. 6) Room was not cleaned when door hanger service-card was hung.

The room was much better than we anticipated because it had both a refrigorator and a microwave. These were not included in the discription. The room was not ready when we arrived because we arrived earlier than normal check-in time but the staff check us in anyway and let us stow our stuff in the room. When we returned for the evening the room was immaculate and just the right temperature.

The room had an odd smell to it; whether it was musty/mildew or from cleaning products, I'm not sure. However, it didn't cause any allergic symptoms. I kept the windows open during the day to try to freshen the air, but it didn't help much. Also, the sink drain was slow. Other than these things my friend and I were pleased and would stay there again.

The staff was polite. However, the room smelled of old age and mildew and had a continous damp feeling. Also, the showrr was so small that it was impossible to feel entirely clean. No refunds unless canceled 10 days prior, so with no other availability in the area (Cooperstown tournament time), we were stuck. Would not recommend.

We stayed here during a trip to Cooperstown Dreams Park. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, but there were a few issues worth noting. The beds were very comfortable, and the views of the lake from our room were beautiful — definitely a highlight. However, the property feels a bit dated. My son, who has allergies, experienced worsening symptoms during our stay, possibly due to moisture or air quality issues in the room. The mini fridge didn’t keep things very cold, and the showers were extremely small, which made them uncomfortable to use. Housekeeping was just okay — not terrible, but not great either. Parking was frustrating, as some cars weren’t parked within the lines, making it difficult to get in and out. One of the biggest inconveniences was the 25-minute drive to Dreams Park. It made it tough to go back and forth between games, especially with the tight schedule. Not a bad place if you're looking for a scenic, peaceful setting, but there are definitely a few things that could be improved.

My only complaint is the property is a little rural and set back from the main areas of Cooperstown. The result is horrible cell service but the WiFi is great so just connect your phone to that!

Staff was friendly. Property was well maintained. The only issue was the size of the shower. It’s just as small as the reviews say. It was hard for my husband to fit in the shower and he’s only 5’11.

Super cute and peaceful location! I have never stayed in a motor Lodge before, and the convenience of having your car directly outside the room is insanely nice. I can see why it was such a popular design. The room was a bit dated, but very well kept, and the mattress older but not uncomfortable. The lodge has a small private beach a short walk down the hill, and you can borrow their kayaks for free!

We so enjoyed our time at Hickory Grove Inn! Very friendly welcoming service! The room was very clean and charming. Bed was comfortable. The outside patio was so relaxing with a wonderful view of the lake. It was exactly what we needed. Such a relaxing atmosphere.

Sadly, the power was out in our hotel when we returned at night day two. That meant no lights, no air, and no running water (well). Unable to reach mgmt, office closed and no communication via email, phone or door of room, we were left with no choice but to leave and get another hotel room. There was absolutely no word from the mgmt to our numerous calls or emails, and with the busy schedule of cooperstown dreams park, that left us no choice but to continue our stay at the new hotel. When contact was finally made with mgmt, they acted as if it was no big deal, they claimed they had no phone service, and “what was the 22 year old desk manager to do at 9pm when it happened?” They continued to gaslight us and act as if it was our fault for wanting communication from the mgmt as to the situation. We were guests that had no way to reach any person to help us, nor the power company to call. Regardless of what others at the hotel did, for medical reasons we needed air and running water. When we asked for a refund, the mgmt denied us. They denied Hotels.com a refund resolution. The front desk staff was unknowledgeable, unpleasent and extremely unprofessional. We were sad to have had to make the decision to leave, as the hotel was quaint, if not a little dated. More than that, we had to pay almost 2x as much at the hotel with lights, water and air.

We were sad to have had to make the decision to leave, as the hotel was quaint, if not a little dated. More than that, we had to pay almost 2x as much at the hotel with lights, water and air.

I was doing the rail explorers ride in cooperstown on memorial day weekend. I was looking for a place to spend the night before the rail ride went on expedia and there weren't many options available at a reasonable price so I chose this. I must say it went well. This place is near the river. My room had the river view. It was very peaceful, clean and they were very friendly. My husband and I took a walk to the river it was great!!! One piece of advice while you're driving there if you find something to eat buy it and take it with you. It was kind of away from everything. I thank God we saw a little Ceasars pizza on our way and bought it.

We stayed here during a trip to Cooperstown Dreams Park. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, but there were a few issues worth noting. The beds were very comfortable, and the views of the lake from our room were beautiful — definitely a highlight. However, the property feels a bit dated. My son, who has allergies, experienced worsening symptoms during our stay, possibly due to moisture or air quality issues in the room. The mini fridge didn’t keep things very cold, and the showers were extremely small, which made them uncomfortable to use. Housekeeping was just okay — not terrible, but not great either. Parking was frustrating, as some cars weren’t parked within the lines, making it difficult to get in and out. One of the biggest inconveniences was the 25-minute drive to Dreams Park. It made it tough to go back and forth between games, especially with the tight schedule. Not a bad place if you're looking for a scenic, peaceful setting, but there are definitely a few things that could be improved.

My only complaint is the property is a little rural and set back from the main areas of Cooperstown. The result is horrible cell service but the WiFi is great so just connect your phone to that!

I liked) 1) the proximity to Glimmerglass Opera Festival. 2) Friendly staff. 3) Not noisy. Several negative things were: 1) Very strong disinfectant/cleaning liquid odor for the first two days of our 4-day stay. 2) Description of amenities is inaccurate: no paddle wheel boats (which were advertised on signage). 3) Breakfast, as is advertised, is really a toaster and microwave in the motor inn office. No Bread, butter, condiments, or place to sit. 4) Shower stall was about 30" x 30", which is dangerously small space to pick up a dropped bar of soap. 5) We were not allowed TO eat at the picnic table by the water. 6) Room was not cleaned when door hanger service-card was hung.

Room is very small. Brochure said breakfast and lake front but there was no breakfast and it was lake view. Lake was not easy access. Rooms are not worth the money.

It was OK! Staff was friendly, but the Maid service was not always the best. No Breakfast, but a great view. Bed was OK! Not a lot for the [RICE, BUT i understand, all about Baseball!

Property in a good location 5 miles north of town. Room very outdated with very small shower and sink didn't drain well. Carpet dirty and ripped all over. Tv, microwave, and refrigerator all worked very well. Table and two chairs very helpful along with coffee maker. All in all passable for three nights.

Room was clean but very small. We had to sleep with one of our suitcases on the bed! Office staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking was right in front of our room which was very convenient. Room was clean but knob to operate the bathroom fan was broken and a bulb was out over the sink. Shower was very small but the shower flow was excellent. Was nice to not have to step over the side of a tub to take a shower! We stayed there 3 nights and enjoyed a very relaxing and enjoyable time in Cooperstown.

It was clean and perfect for a one night stay. We made last minute plans to visit Cooperstown and this was the most decent price, ( In season hotel and motel prices are ridiculously expensive) and this close to town . The View of lake from the room was very pretty. We could sleep with windows open it was very refreshing. We walked down the path to the lake. If you kayak or paddle board this is perfect.
