Hook Wine & Sinker~sleeps 14 to 16 water views!!!

WE had NO hot water the entire time we were there, the gas to the house was turned off because of lack of payment from the owner. When the gas company finally showed up they red tagged the house as there were gas leaks inside the house. I had to spend my afternoon waiting for the gas company to let them into the house. The day we arrived it was warm out , turns out the AC upstairs didnt work either. The owner said he send someone to fix but they never showed up. Then it got cold, since the gas was turned off the house also had no heat. I was there for my daughter graduation with my 82 year old mom, my wife,daughter, and a couple extended family members. The family members left because of the situation. I understand things go wrong but we didnt even get an apology from the owner. Sorry Brad, but you dropped the ball big on this. Other then all those problems the house was ok. PS, if the AC isnt working you can open the windows but the house is directly under the highway,rather noisy. Almost 5000 for a pretty miserable experience

We rented Hook, Wine & Sinker for our family to stay in during the weekend of our son's wedding in Chesapeake City, MD. The home is absolutely beautiful, very clean, spacious, and one of the best rentals that I've stayed in with VRBO.

Our group of 15 gathered here for a long weekend in July to attend a family event in the area. The house was WONDERFUL, STYLISH & SPACIOUS. And Chesapeake City itself was a surprise bonus… several gift shops, a cute ice cream shop, coffee & breakfast cafe, dinner restaurants - all within walking distance! Loved: everything about the house… proximity to the quaint town… plenty of hot water… awesome AC upstairs…Brad the owner answered emails very quickly… *minor* issues: the main floor AC wasn’t working well so the main area was on the warm side (probably being fixed soon)… 3 bathrooms (only 2 showers) for 15 of us was tricky at times…the tv buffered frequently… blackout curtains in bedrooms would be nice Would definitely stay here again!! We all had a great time!

We rented because we lost our vacation home to a Christmas EVE sprinkler system pipe explosion. This home was ideal in size and location. The property was short on daily essentials, but this could have been due to the last-minute booking.
