We had a great stay at Shandaken Inn. The location is beautiful, the Inn is comfortable, all amenities were as advertised, the staff was super friendly and we enjoyed the restaurant and bar. We hope to return for a longer visit or with friends.

Fantastic staff, very accommodating. Hotel is very welcoming and inviting. It's a great second home. The grounds are so meticulously maintained and the health club and other accommodations are first rate. A 5 star plus experience.

The service was excellent, the room was perfect (the splitter/HVAC units on the ground outside the room were a bit noisy - but not unpleasant at least for me - however for future guests, you may want to consider muffling the sound if possible), immaculate, bed was very comfortable, TV was excellent (theatre-grade), the Exec Chef at the Shandaken is definitely "Michelin-grade", outstanding cuisine, complimentary breakfast menu was fantastic, the entire management/service team was/is "top-notch". Views are excellent, fire pits are a definite plus and the pool/tennis court look inviting (come summertime). The 3 cottages look like a wonderful option for extended stays with the whole family/friends! Thanks again!!! Happy 2025 to ALL of YOU!!!

We had a wonderful stay at the Shandaken Inn - it really exceeded our expectations. The property is lovely and the inn is extremely well maintained and comfortable. Everything you need is right there. The outdoor dining area looks out to the open space and the surrounding mountains. We loved sitting around the fire pit later in the evening and enjoyed meeting other guests as well. The food was great - breakfast choices were abundant and dinner was delicious. The staff was wonderful and helped make our stay utterly enjoyable. We will definitely return.

Really nice property. The room was large we booked with a small couch on the side. The pool was nice and the complentry breakfast is a plus. Just wish the restaurant was open on Mondays and Tuesdays

We arrived and were greeted by a great guy and checked in quickly. The pool was really nice and although the restaurant was closed (Monday and Tuesday nights) they gave us good recommendations for nearby dining which was excellent. The Inn is very clean. Our room was very small but the linens and pillows were fabulous as well as the soaps, etc in the bathroom. The walls are thin though, we could hear people in the rooms next door and in the hallway. The staff was very friendly and the breakfasts were very good. Went for dinner on our last night which was burger night at the restaurant. Although tables were available the hostess didn’t want to seat us 20 minutes earlier than our reservation and the wait staff was a little slower than we expected. The food and drinks were fabulous though and made up for it. The s’mores availability was a nice touch for the outdoor fireplaces and all the other guests were very nice and enjoyed the atmosphere as well. Good stay in general, we had a nice time.

The place was warm, welcoming, cozy, clean, private, quiet and lovely. Upscale but affordable. I would recommend they have coffee available starting at 6am as there was no coffee in the rooms and the included, wonderful breakfast, started at 8am.

A well-run bed and breakfast that’s worth the price. We had excellent customer service, the rooms were clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. They also had board games downstairs that were fun to play. We had a great time, and we highly recommend it.

The hotel is very nice- clean, modern, well appointed room. It is rustic and modern at the same time. Nice location and great views. Very peaceful setting. Good restaurant. The staff is super nice and helpful but it seems they may be understaffed like many properties these days. I recommend overall but I would manage expectations on level of service.

The staff, the newly updated rooms, and the food made this one of the best hotel stays of my life. I have been raving about the Shandaken Inn to anyone who'll listen. This spot is magical. Everyone will make sure your stay and your visit to the Catskill's magnificent. I hope to return soon.

We LOVED the Shandaken Inn! The property, the staff, and everything in between were exceptional. The rooms were so quiet and comfy! We had the best time relaxing at the pool and in all of the outdoor space. The staff truly make you feel like you’re home. We will absolutely be back!

We loved even about our stay at the Inn. It’s a beautiful place. Our room felt less like a hotel and more like a luxurious bedroom. The bed was so comfortable that we both slept soundly. Breakfast was delicious and included in the price. Finally, the staff were kind and welcoming. I highly recommend the Inn.

I stayed with my 2 teenage daughters and found the Inn to be perfect for our trip. The location was great amidst many of the quaint Catskills towns, as well as access to the mountains for skiing. The staff was very friendly and wonderful and our room was very comfortable with nice linens and natural light. Ambiance by the fire at night (indoors and out!) was lovely and our breakfast and dinner experiences were delicious. Nothing but great things to say!

Very friendly staff, including Miranda as our “Emotional Support Concierge,” all of you were very welcoming and helpful. I would definitely recommend your inn to anyone. Food was delicious and ample, wait staff very helpful. All in all, had a great time.

The hotel is very nice- clean, modern, well appointed room. It is rustic and modern at the same time. Nice location and great views. Very peaceful setting. Good restaurant. The staff is super nice and helpful but it seems they may be understaffed like many properties these days. I recommend overall but I would manage expectations on level of service.

We had a wonderful stay at the Shandaken Inn - it really exceeded our expectations. The property is lovely and the inn is extremely well maintained and comfortable. Everything you need is right there. The outdoor dining area looks out to the open space and the surrounding mountains. We loved sitting around the fire pit later in the evening and enjoyed meeting other guests as well. The food was great - breakfast choices were abundant and dinner was delicious. The staff was wonderful and helped make our stay utterly enjoyable. We will definitely return.

I love coming to this property! It’s super clean, the grounds are great and the staff is amazing, especially Beth who always makes our stay perfect! ohhh let’s not forget the breakfast which was included in my stay, It was delicious!

We arrived and were greeted by a great guy and checked in quickly. The pool was really nice and although the restaurant was closed (Monday and Tuesday nights) they gave us good recommendations for nearby dining which was excellent. The Inn is very clean. Our room was very small but the linens and pillows were fabulous as well as the soaps, etc in the bathroom. The walls are thin though, we could hear people in the rooms next door and in the hallway. The staff was very friendly and the breakfasts were very good. Went for dinner on our last night which was burger night at the restaurant. Although tables were available the hostess didn’t want to seat us 20 minutes earlier than our reservation and the wait staff was a little slower than we expected. The food and drinks were fabulous though and made up for it. The s’mores availability was a nice touch for the outdoor fireplaces and all the other guests were very nice and enjoyed the atmosphere as well. Good stay in general, we had a nice time.

Wonderful get away in the Catskills. The hotel established in 1928 had everything we wanted and more. Beautiful grounds, great views and super friendly people helping in all settings. We felt like family ( in a wonderful way).

The Inn is absolutely beautiful, the rooms and amenities are first class. Perfect location if you are skiing at Belleayre or exploring the Catskills. Above all else the staff is amazing and made our entire family feel at home! Definitely will be back!

I stayed with my 2 teenage daughters and found the Inn to be perfect for our trip. The location was great amidst many of the quaint Catskills towns, as well as access to the mountains for skiing. The staff was very friendly and wonderful and our room was very comfortable with nice linens and natural light. Ambiance by the fire at night (indoors and out!) was lovely and our breakfast and dinner experiences were delicious. Nothing but great things to say!

Amazing place to stay and great staff who were helpful with many tips on the best spots of the area. It was a memorable stay. One potential area of improvement would be the food which is nice, but nothing above average or outstanding.

a wonderful catskills Inn. comfortable rooms, nice bar, beautiful location, nice tennis court and swimming pool, friendly guests. only weakness was breakfast not that great. same everyday and the various items not all that good and $6 extra charge for 2 strips of bacon.

We loved the property. The grounds were gorgeous and had many activities. We really enjoyed the tennis court, pool, and corn hole, and appreciated how family- and dog-friendly it all was. The gym was also well stocked. While we weren’t there during their fine dining days, we did experience their burger night, and my partner said his was excellent. My salad was good as well. The room and bathroom were clean and cozy. We had a great time doing some nearby walks/hikes and exploring Woodstock. Areas for improvement: the breakfast pastries were clearly microwaved from frozen (and unfortunately on day two, one of ours had a dead spider in it.) Otherwise, breakfast was good, but I would caution others about sitting outside in the morning due to a large number of flies about! (Not the property’s fault and we didn’t have this problem in the evening). The pool liner was also coming up at the edge around the stairs, which should be repaired. Our only other concern was that we couldn’t find anyone to check us out when we left - we ended up dropping off the keys and leaving a post it note saying we were checking out.

Absolutely lovely staff and wonderful amenities and place! I enjoyed walking on the old 1800s railroad by the creek, sitting by the peaceful pool and firepits, and I loved the delicious breakfast food. Also, my room was very clean, and the bed was heavenly! I would definitely stay here again.
