Carrie and Howie were incredibly kind and hospitable hosts from the moment we arrived. Particular highlights were the very comfortable bed, delicious breakfast and to be able to barbecue and eat in the garden. We left feeling very relaxed and restored. Would highly recommend this as a lovely place to recharge your batteries.

5 minute walk to the lake. Beautiful flowers and gardens. Quiet and relaxing stay away from the hustle. The hosts and pets are very friendly.

This is a gorgeous option - very close to the bay for a lovely walk, also only a 15 min drive to the ferry. Everything has been thought of down to the last detail. Comfy bed, great soaker tub, cushy bath robes...and the owner (thank you Karey) even made me up a delicious breakfast to go as I had to catch an early ferry. Highly recommend.

Our stay at Coles Bay Vacation Resort was so amazing that we spent our last night there too since our flight plans got delayed. We can\'t wait to go back, our "cottage" was like an apartment, it had everything you need to relax and cook a nice meal. The breakfast Karey served was fresh and delicious.

October 19-20, 2024 This was a lovely cottage stay. Karey gave a little tour of the 1 bedroom cottage complete with a full bathroom/ shower and luxurious towels, sunken living room, dining room and kitchen. She showed me how everything worked and where everything that I might need was located. There were two types of coffee and several selections of tea available. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pot, pans, plates etc. Karey brought me breakfast on a tray right to my door. Oven fresh croissants with scrumptious yogurt, and fresh fruit. Absolutely delicious. Her husband, Howie transported me to the airport, in the morning, which is only about six minutes away. The bed was super comfy and I slept well. Although I only spent one night at the cottage I was fortunate to get an upgrade as I Initially had just booked a room rather than the One bedroom cottage that I stayed in. I would love to return for a longer stay next time. Wonderful hosts and lovely stay. Thank you for the hospitality.

Outstanding stay ast this wonderful BnB. We were greeted the moment we arrived with friendliness and felt like we were home immediately. Our room had everything you could possibly need including fridge, microwave, utensils etc and several charging stations. The bed was very comfortable with great bedding and the bathroom was clean, safe and had nice thick towels. Our breakfast was a complete surprise and certainly got our day of travel off to the right start. The owner went so far as to personalize our breakfast which was more than appreciated. We would definitely recommend a stay here and after only one night, we wished we had more time to spend with these thoughtful hosts. We can't thank them enough!

One of the best places to stay. You feel like you are visiting family or relatives as they welcome you as such. Rooms and nice and tidy, bed is so comfy, bathrooms are clean and atmosphere is homey. Breakfast was so good and yummy. Will definitely visit again!

The room was spotless and well appointed. Our stay was short due to a early flight, but we felt comfortable and welcome immediately. The furry members of the family did steal the show a bit. We look forward to staying again when we have more time!

The suite was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. The location was quiet with outdoorsy things to do nearby (beach, trails). The breakfast was excellent! The hosts went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and I will definitely return!

The Room: The room was very clean and had eco friendly products which was great. There were fresh baked goods for us upon arrival which were excellent. The bed was comfortable and the room was very spacious. There was a full bath tub in the bathroom which was really great for an evening soak. The Host: She was exceptionally welcoming and very nice. She is very thoughtful, having products in the room that you might commonly forget was really great. The Area: A beautiful property with its own entrance to the suite. Its a 2-3 minute walk from a nice trail which goes down to a small beach. It was a really nice spot to go for an evening walk.

What can we say! Wonderful retreat out in the countryside. The location to dining, Sidney, airport and Air museum are very close. The accommodation is beautifully done. Our hosts were friendly and enjoyable. Enjoy!!

The room we got was excellent. You couldn't have asked for more amenities in a room - fridge, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, fresh water, oodles of cups, lots of outlets to plug in devices, lots of hooks to hang clothing, a drawer with items that we might have forgotten at home like shaving cream and toothbrushes, a hair dryer, a mirror outside the bathroom, lots of pillows, lots of absorbent towels, a black face cloth for makeup, books to read. It was quite amazing how well stocked one room could be. Three choices for a hot breakfast or fruit choice.
The room we got was excellent. What a comfy spot. Although it’s just one large room, it was very comfortable and well equipped. Lots of toiletry items available. Bed was so comfortable. Netflix available at no extra charge. We got surprised when our host provided us a plate of blueberry coffee cake and delicious yogurt in the evening. Breakfast was way beyond expectations. Awesome hosts.

The room was very comfy and our host was positively a hoot 😀 Our reason for staying was to fly out very early and she prepared a snck the night before so we would have something at 3:30 am before leaving.

The owners checked in with us twice before we arrived to ensure that we had the reservation correct, that we knew their check-in procedure, and that everything we needed and would use was well explained. We had our choice of 3 amazing breakfasts - we chose crepes that had a beautiful presentation and amazing taste. Their two standard poodles were well trained and served as ambassadors for any guests who needed an animal hug. We will recommend this amazing B & B to friends and family; and look forward to staying there the next time we are staying over in Victoria.

October 19-20, 2024 This was a lovely cottage stay. Karey gave a little tour of the 1 bedroom cottage complete with a full bathroom/ shower and luxurious towels, sunken living room, dining room and kitchen. She showed me how everything worked and where everything that I might need was located. There were two types of coffee and several selections of tea available. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pot, pans, plates etc. Karey brought me breakfast on a tray right to my door. Oven fresh croissants with scrumptious yogurt, and fresh fruit. Absolutely delicious. Her husband, Howie transported me to the airport, in the morning, which is only about six minutes away. The bed was super comfy and I slept well. Although I only spent one night at the cottage I was fortunate to get an upgrade as I Initially had just booked a room rather than the One bedroom cottage that I stayed in. I would love to return for a longer stay next time. Wonderful hosts and lovely stay. Thank you for the hospitality.

Lovely hosts and room .. very cozy and comfortable!!! Very accommodating as we had to leave very early for the airport and they made and packed us breakfast to go .. 😎. Sweet dogs as well!!

Very accommodating. Clean and quiet room with all that’s needed. Host was very nice. We missed breakfast but will definitely eat next time. Golf course across the street with nice patio . Close to airport .

What can we say! Wonderful retreat out in the countryside. The location to dining, Sidney, airport and Air museum are very close. The accommodation is beautifully done. Our hosts were friendly and enjoyable. Enjoy!!

This is a gorgeous option - very close to the bay for a lovely walk, also only a 15 min drive to the ferry. Everything has been thought of down to the last detail. Comfy bed, great soaker tub, cushy bath robes...and the owner (thank you Karey) even made me up a delicious breakfast to go as I had to catch an early ferry. Highly recommend.

What a nice residential part of Vancouver Island that’s just a short drive from the Swartz Bay ferry terminal. I’m a female solo traveler and I felt very safe. I slept well and felt taken care of by Karey. Breakfast was fantastic! Loved the waffles and fresh fruits. Will definitely come back.

We chose Coles Bay Inn for its proximity to the Sidney airport as we were leaving the next day and wish we could have stayed longer! The Library Room was very cozy and well-appointed, complete with hairdryer, robes and almost any toiletry item you might have forgotten to bring. Karey, the host, was most helpful. She gave good directions for walking to beautiful Coles Bay Regional Park - just 5 minutes away. She also suggested a favourite local restaurant for dinner, which we enjoyed thoroughly. Lastly, the included breakfast was exceptional! Warm croissants with preserves, eggs done to our liking, bacon and roasted potatoes, coffee and freshly-squeezed orange juice. Wow! We left very content. Highly recommend this place if you're visiting Vancouver Island.

What a gem we found in Coles Bay Vacation Rental! We arrived here after a late night flight into Victoria Airport. Karey met us at the door and invited us into this sweet space, welcoming us and explaining where things were in the room and how to operate appliances. Our bed was super comfortable and the hot breakfast with fresh croissants were sooo yummy! What a find!

Coles Bay Vacation retreat is an amazing place to stay, with exceptional hosts and incredible breakfast!! We absolutely loved our time here, enjoying nice walks near the property, and our suite that was outfitted with everything you could need. Staff are great. Room was very nice. But REALY stand-out was the BREAKFEST. I KNOW when I come back to the Island for a visit I will be sure to stay here because the BREAKFEST meal is so so so good.

It feels like your home here. It’s a beautiful property and the people hosting are wonderful. The morning breakfast is the highlight! We were so full and the food was awesome. Thank you Carey for the Dutch baby,(a must try) from her kitchen!

The suite was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. The location was quiet with outdoorsy things to do nearby (beach, trails). The breakfast was excellent! The hosts went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and I will definitely return!

Outstanding stay ast this wonderful BnB. We were greeted the moment we arrived with friendliness and felt like we were home immediately. Our room had everything you could possibly need including fridge, microwave, utensils etc and several charging stations. The bed was very comfortable with great bedding and the bathroom was clean, safe and had nice thick towels. Our breakfast was a complete surprise and certainly got our day of travel off to the right start. The owner went so far as to personalize our breakfast which was more than appreciated. We would definitely recommend a stay here and after only one night, we wished we had more time to spend with these thoughtful hosts. We can't thank them enough!

It was a truly wonderful B&B, and everything was perfectly arranged. The breakfast was also delicious. Karey and Howie are such kind hosts. When we were feeling anxious because we couldn’t go to Kelowna due to the wildfires, they were very supportive. I highly recommend this B&B. Next time, I’d like to stay for a longer period.

Karey and Howie are wonderful hosts, the breakfast is spectacular, and the dogs add the final joy. The garden is lovely, with several seating areas. We walked down to the Bay to enjoy the view, and spotted several curious seals. Five minutes from the airport, 15 minutes from Butchart gardens, half an hour from downtown Victoria. There's a reason people come back year after year.

Absolutely fanastic stay both were really welcoming and made sure to make us feel welcome. They went above and beyond, even when we arrived later in the evening than planned. The beds were really comfortable and breakfast was amazing. We loved having a lazy morning with the dogs as well. Would highly recommend and would go out of our way to stay again

What a great little home away from home! Amazing couple, what an amazing fresh breakfast that I was given and in such a beautiful setting. I hope to use this place more as stay over for business when I'm in Victoria.
