Marine Bay Sanur

Good location and service, but the hotel needs maintenance We experienced the usual warm and friendly Balinese hospitality throughout our stay. The staff were always helpful and quick to resolve any issues without hesitation. The pool area is lovely, family-friendly and ideal for children. Breakfast was also decent, and the location is great, within walking distance of Sanur Beach and its lovely walking paths. Unfortunately, the overall condition of the hotel let it down. Our first room had a leaking toilet, so we had to move to another room. In the new room, the shower handle was broken and would not stay in place, making it difficult to control the water without forcing it into position. We also had to ask for our bedsheets to be changed because they had clearly visible yellow stains. When the staff changed them, they noticed that the replacement sheets were stained as well, so they replaced them a second time. The sheets appeared clean, but sleeping on visibly yellow-stained bedding is simply not pleasant. To be fair, the staff handled every complaint professionally and were always willing to help. Our issues were with the condition and maintenance of the rooms, not the service. Marine Bay is a decent budget hotel with a great pool, friendly staff and a good location. For the price, it offers reasonable value, especially for families. However, the poor maintenance and attention to detail prevent it from being anything more than a budget hotel. You get what you pai.

The property was perfect location and price point for our one night stay to catch an early morning Ferry to Nusa Lembongan. We got in late afternoon directly from the airport. Kids (6 and 8) loved the pool and water slide, us adults were very comfortable pool side. The bar drinks were very reasonably priced. Then it was a 2 minute walk into multiple restaurant options right on the waters edge with more restaurants currently being built. Super convenient. In the morning we went to breakfast around the corner again before walking to the Ferry, again super convenient. Only complaint with the room was the air-conditioning couldn't get quite cool enough, the light from the aircon unit lit up the room all night. Only 2 bath towels in the room for 4 people and oddly the water in the shower didn't get hot but hey it's Bali and it's hot enough already.
