Hotel Engel - Self-Check-in

Check in was a nightmare. There is no live staff, only automated kiosks. One didn’t work at all. The other finally functioned but informed that the room was being cleaned and not yet ready- at 9:00 PM!!! The help line was actually helpful, and another room was made available. However, the listing said there was AC, but no thermostat or controls in the room, and the place was roasting hot. Opening a window helped but there was a lot of traffic noise. The restaurant was closed and nearby options were not excellent. Last, the parking garage entrance was too low for a standard sized van, small cars only. So not at all an ideal experience.

Rezeptionisten sucht man vergeblich. Die wurden durch PC‘s ersetzt. Völlig unpersönlich. Zimmer groß, sauber und OK. Frühstück erinnert an Jugendherberge. Für mich leider nicht noch einmal.

15 emails and terrible checkin system via mails and registration on the phone, no one present at check in or check out. Extreme amount of useless information, spam and difficult process. The hotel is otherwise ok, outdated rooms but clean.
