The house was incredibly beautiful and clean. Looks better than the images. Super easy and accessible. Kitchen fully equipped providing the essentials ( as well as olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper). We were left with a lovely bottle of white wine by Ben and the team at SSA. The cleaners Charmian & Basia had done an impeccable job of cleaning for when we arrived. Thank you for having us. It was the most magical Easter weekend. Please note that the closest supermarket / petrol station is a good 30 minute drive away. Be prepared.

This is a lovely house for a couple in a splendid location with a great view through south facing windows across a whole wall. Well equipped with comfortable bed and powerful shower but no air conditioning and no fans. Therein lies a problem . We had some glorious days with sunshine and temperatures of 19o plus in early May but the house then became unbearably hot! Asking for help from the agent ( not VRBO) proved complicated and unsatisfactory. Sky accommodation didn’t supply fans when asked and proved rude in correspondence. Staff need some training. So great place in cooler times but does need better support arrangements.

We loved this little house so much. The view was just jaw dropping. We would light a fire and just watch the rain and clouds and the loch and weren't even mad it was raining! Super comfortable bed (for US travelers, it's not a king, it's a queen), great kitchen, great bathroom. It's waaay off the beaten path, which we loved. We found 3 terrific restaurants within 20 minutes of us so we didn't need to drive the 35 minutes into Portree. Took a while to figure out the washer/dryer, but once we did it was great. Heaven.

It’s such a beautiful view! We loved staying here on the Isle of Skye except that during the daytime, the living area with the big windows was cooking. We went in august and there was more sun than expected, so temps for high. It’s the UK so no air conditioning, but there wasn’t even a fan. It was much cooler in the small, dark bedroom at the back so we spent afternoons in there… I would have rather been enjoying the view. My recommendation is to just purchase a fan for us American tourists who prefer a little moving air. Also, be sure to bring midge repellant in the summer. I got quite a few bites. 100% worth it though.

This place is absolutely amazing! The view, the amenities, the layout, all perfect. Should have stayed here longer! Would go back and would definitely recommend. Love the fireplace and privacy of location. Need 4-wheel drive or chains in the winter to access.

We had an amazing stay this lovely cottage. Everything was very neat and clean. The view was absolutely stunning. If you stay here, say hello to Ian, the neighbor next door. He has a small croft and was really great to chat with!

I’m struggling to articulate how incredible this place is! First and foremost, the location is to die for - I wish I could wake up to that view every morning! The house was clean, cosy and it has everything you need in terms of amenities. The log burner was an added bonus, and the bottle of wine in the fridge was a lovely touch. I can’t recommend this place highly enough - I am already planning my next visit!

Spacious, light and warm with the most amazing view that never failed to inspire, even when a bit grey, T V not needed! The property is reasonably kitted out, some basics are missing if you enjoy cooking and going to be self catering. Could have been cleaner - dirty plates left by a previous occupier, obviously not checked. These are fairly minor, but it is a premium priced property so you'd expect 100%.

The home was quite lovely. It is tucked away in a very tranquil area, that gave us the peace and quiet we needed, but not too far away from all the sightseeing. It was pristine, and well appointed. It had lovely views of the water. We would highly recommend.

Silverwood is a lovely place to stay for a couple wanting peace and quiet. The cabin is perfect, very clean and well designed. It was warm and relaxing with a fabulous view. We would highly recommend. The chillled bottle of wine was a lovely touch. You need a car and the house is a couple of houses past the dead end turning on the left . 2.2 miles past Skyeskyns; the satnav wasn’t very specific so try and get there in daylight hours We highly recommend and would stay again

The Stay was amazing. The Location is Just stunning and the view wonderful. The House is modern and really big enough for two People. It is absolutely quiet. It is a tough ride when you're not used to it but it's worth it. I would recommend a stay and would always come back too. The communication was easy and friendly. We had a wonderful time there.

We stayed here on our "honeymoon" (12 years later). We would come back again in a heartbeat. This cozy little cabin with an incredible view was a wonderful place to retreat from the world It's far from Portree (relatively) but I would view that as a positive - the drive is beautiful. It is very close to the Stein Inn - a lovely pub with so much character- and Loch Bay restaurant which we'd also recommend. Hope to visit Skye again and this would be our first choice of accommodation.

I recently stayed at Silverwood for three nights (a last minute booking). What can I say? I only wish I could have stayed longer. The property is situated in Hallin and has spectacularly views. I was really impressed with the design of the property and it has clearly been very well thought out. There is a Charnwood fire and excellent broadband. It has been decorated really well and a lot of thought has been given, for example, even simple ideas (such as auro night lights) which I thought worked really well. I actually ordered some for my own home. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wishing to visit Skye. A great location, a great place and communication was excellent. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.

Did not receive the access code via email. Repeatedly asked for it. Kept being told to “check spam folder.” All they had to do was send the info via the VRBO messaging. We drove for 6 hours to get there and then stood on the porch in the middle of nowhere while VRBO tried to help. No one would pick up any of their emergency numbers. We were absolutely overwhelmed / the aisle of Skye is a pretty desolate place when you have no place to stay. This management company should not be allowed to list properties. It has shaken our faith in whether we will use VRBO again. They ruined our first day and caused so much anxiety - all completely avoidable.

Everything was perfect and enchanted. I just regret that the check in process was technical and not personalized. We are not traveling to a place such as a remote island to be treated like numbers by robots. This is maybe the case in big cities. No, Skye deserves a personal touch. Someone who is personally communicating with you and cares. Fortunately, I insisted (and it was much unpleasant) to meet with someone (agent or manager) upon our arrival. Only at the last moment, I have been answered positively. The owner’s presence helped me to locate the property because we were lost and confused. Thank you, dear owner for your precious time… Technology is fine. But a human contact is much better …
Everything was perfect and enchanted. I just regret that the check in process was technical and not personalized. We are not traveling to a place such as a remote island to be treated like numbers by robots. This is maybe the case in big cities. No, Skye deserves a personal touch. Someone who is personally communicating with you and cares. Fortunately, I insisted (and it was much unpleasant) to meet with someone (agent or manager) upon our arrival. Only at the last moment, I have been answered positively. The owner’s presence helped me to locate the property because we were lost and confused. Thank you, dear owner for your precious time… Technology is fine. But a human contact is much better …

The silverwood is an outstanding rental property. The rental looked exactly like the photos and the place was clean when we arrived. The property is very modern compared to other rental properties on Skye. The kitchen was stocked with dishes, pots, pans, etc. Skye is the type of location you need to have dinner reservations or food at home; otherwise few options. There is a Michelin star restaurant down the road. The Stein Inn was also amazing! The neighbouring property has sheep and rosters; natures alarm clock! Prior to arriving I needed to change the checkout date and reaching the host was challenging, but not impossible. I didn’t need to interact host while there. Overall, top notch property for couple. I would return.

This is a lovely house for a couple in a splendid location with a great view through south facing windows across a whole wall. Well equipped with comfortable bed and powerful shower but no air conditioning and no fans. Therein lies a problem . We had some glorious days with sunshine and temperatures of 19o plus in early May but the house then became unbearably hot! Asking for help from the agent ( not VRBO) proved complicated and unsatisfactory. Sky accommodation didn’t supply fans when asked and proved rude in correspondence. Staff need some training. So great place in cooler times but does need better support arrangements.

We were very impressed with our stay at Silverwood Waternish. The house was very clean, check-in was easy and we had everything that we needed. We would most definitely stay here again if we come back to Isle of Skye.

I recently stayed at Silverwood for three nights (a last minute booking). What can I say? I only wish I could have stayed longer. The property is situated in Hallin and has spectacularly views. I was really impressed with the design of the property and it has clearly been very well thought out. There is a Charnwood fire and excellent broadband. It has been decorated really well and a lot of thought has been given, for example, even simple ideas (such as auro night lights) which I thought worked really well. I actually ordered some for my own home. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wishing to visit Skye. A great location, a great place and communication was excellent. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.

What a beautiful place to stay. It was an ideal base for exploring the Isle for a few days or if you wanted peace and solitude this would provide that too. There were uninterrupted views down to the water and peninsula. Totally recommended.

The views, the accommodations, the location… it was all top notch. We had the absolute best stay and could not recommend the Silverwood enough. It is remote, but that was exactly what we wanted. We had no trouble finding places to eat or find supplies, even in December. You won’t regret staying here, this was the best vacation we’ve ever had.

The home was quite lovely. It is tucked away in a very tranquil area, that gave us the peace and quiet we needed, but not too far away from all the sightseeing. It was pristine, and well appointed. It had lovely views of the water. We would highly recommend.

We stayed here on our "honeymoon" (12 years later). We would come back again in a heartbeat. This cozy little cabin with an incredible view was a wonderful place to retreat from the world It's far from Portree (relatively) but I would view that as a positive - the drive is beautiful. It is very close to the Stein Inn - a lovely pub with so much character- and Loch Bay restaurant which we'd also recommend. Hope to visit Skye again and this would be our first choice of accommodation.

We loved this little house so much. The view was just jaw dropping. We would light a fire and just watch the rain and clouds and the loch and weren't even mad it was raining! Super comfortable bed (for US travelers, it's not a king, it's a queen), great kitchen, great bathroom. It's waaay off the beaten path, which we loved. We found 3 terrific restaurants within 20 minutes of us so we didn't need to drive the 35 minutes into Portree. Took a while to figure out the washer/dryer, but once we did it was great. Heaven.

Very serene. Second rental next door but wall provides privacy and buffer. Salt and pepper, olive oil and basalmic available during our stay. I failed to ask in enough time in advance so bought some anyway. Lovely home with beautiful views!

The house was incredibly beautiful and clean. Looks better than the images. Super easy and accessible. Kitchen fully equipped providing the essentials ( as well as olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper). We were left with a lovely bottle of white wine by Ben and the team at SSA. The cleaners Charmian & Basia had done an impeccable job of cleaning for when we arrived. Thank you for having us. It was the most magical Easter weekend. Please note that the closest supermarket / petrol station is a good 30 minute drive away. Be prepared.

Spacious, light and warm with the most amazing view that never failed to inspire, even when a bit grey, T V not needed! The property is reasonably kitted out, some basics are missing if you enjoy cooking and going to be self catering. Could have been cleaner - dirty plates left by a previous occupier, obviously not checked. These are fairly minor, but it is a premium priced property so you'd expect 100%.

We had an amazing stay this lovely cottage. Everything was very neat and clean. The view was absolutely stunning. If you stay here, say hello to Ian, the neighbor next door. He has a small croft and was really great to chat with!

The Stay was amazing. The Location is Just stunning and the view wonderful. The House is modern and really big enough for two People. It is absolutely quiet. It is a tough ride when you're not used to it but it's worth it. I would recommend a stay and would always come back too. The communication was easy and friendly. We had a wonderful time there.
