The Hotel has a lot of charm but the parking entrance is a bit tricky to navigate as it is a very narrow and tight corner. Take your time turning in. Room 14 has a wonderful shower with a powerful water flow. All the rooms we looked at seemed nice but they are all small. Room 14 is the largest.

We stayed at this lovely small town hotel that has lots of charm. It's a historical building and the owners are very nice. You get complimentary pastries and coffee in the morning. They offer pre order at the local cafe across the street so there's no waiting in line. The room was clean and had old school charm. I wish the soaking tub jets were working but overall was quite and a nice place to stay as we were visiting Yosemite for two days. There are a few nice decent restaurants a short walking distance away but the only thing was we weren't informed ahead of the parking lot being a bit tricky to find initially but we figured it out. We would stay again.

Location is 30 minutes from Yosemite entrance. Room is decent, has historical value, if one likes the home feel, rather than the hotel feel. It has a nice AC, TV, and an old style bathtub. Bedcover and towels are really soft. There are a number of books and board games available door guests to utilize. Refrigerator and microwave are located in lobby and shared with other guests. Parking is located in the back and is limited. Coffee and tea are available in the lobby. Breakfast is not complimentary with the stay.

Really cool hotel. Great evening in the beer garden listening to jazz and enjoying good food and drinks. Hotel has fascinating history and our room was lovely while also reflecting that.

Great historic hotel, super clean. Staff was terrific for all three days of our stay: Finn; Alex; Shana; GiGi; Angie; etc. Their restaurant is great with a reasonably priced chef-driven menu including specials! Groveland is a cute town with owner operated business including the best ice cream in the Western U.S. at Grove Mercantile! Love our visit and will gladly go back.

Cool little hotel. Exactly what we were looking for. The guy that checked us in was awesome. About a 15 minute drive to Yosemite. Will be much better once bar/restaurant is opened back up.

We arrived late and followed the late check in procedure, all went great. We discovered a cute patio area in the back by the parking and enjoyed a visit and a snack while we were unwinding from our travel day. The room is adorable and functional. Love the atmosphere of this place.

Boutique hotel. Cute and confortable hotel in little Groveland. Beds and linens were comfy. No frig in rooms but a shared one in common space. The staff are very welcoming and helpful with information and things like ice. There is a restaurant that operates some nights and small bites other nights. There are not many restautants in town otherwise and you may have to drive a short distance. Great coffee, cream, donuts, muffins in the morning. Good value!

We stayed at the lovely Hotel Charlotte on our way to Yosemite. Finn was incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our room was charming, comfortable and spotless. The mattress and bed linens were 5 star- perfection. The bathroom was also spotless and the towels wonderful. Would highly recommend the Hotel Charlotte!

Wonderful small hotel that's about an hour away from Yosemite. My friends and I (3 people total) booked a family double room which consisted of 1 queen bed in one room, 2 twin beds in another room, connected by the restroom. We found the room to be clean and comfortable. We should note that the shower was a bit awkward to use, since it's basically just a bathtub with shower curtains surrounding all sides of it (as opposed to, say, curtains covering part of the tub and a wall on the other). That said, we didn't really have any issues with it. We arrived at the hotel pretty late (probably around 10pm), when there was no one actively working at the front desk. That said, the owner, presumably Finn, left us a key to get into the hotel and further left us the room keys with my name on the front desk, so it was easy to get into our rooms. Speaking of Finn, although I never got to meet him in-person, Finn was very responsive via Expedia chat and answered all of my questions, so I very much appreciate him for that. Some other minor things to note: - there's free simple breakfast, consisting of fruit, donuts, and muffins. There's not a lot, though, so it's probably not a bad idea to have your own breakfast ready. - there is a fridge, although we did find that some other guests took some of the water that we left in the fridge, even after labeling them. Overall, a very wonderful hotel. I'll definitely come back whenever I go to Yosemite again :)

Very run down hotel in need of desperate measure to maintain it. While we understood the impact that Covied 19 had on many small and independent hotels, this was way beyond requiring to be maintained and cleaned or alternative not charge so much for the rooms while still in this condition. Location is great when travelling from Yosemite to Sn Fransisco but otherwise more of a back packers place.

My daughter and I spent the night here after backpacking in Yosemite for three nights. The owners were super friendly and the hotel is charming. It is located on the main street of Groveland so easy walk to everywhere in town. It seems. Also if you have a Tesla, it’s super conveniently located to the chargers. The water in our shower turned very hot to very cold unpredictably and that was really the only unpleasant part of our stay.

Great little hotel. Very comfortable beds. Only downside was that in the downstairs rooms you can hear everything happening in the lobby dining area. Strongly suggest a door from the lobby to those rooms to cut down on noise. No desk in our room, but the tables in the lobby worked well for early morning work.

Very cute hotel and lovely staff. I was in room 15 which had a jacuzzi tub. Jets weren’t working but I had a nice soak. As the room description mentions, the room is not good for light sleepers and you can hear evening foot traffic and conversation but it quiets down as the evening wears on. What was harder to sleep through was the dryer next door that seemed to be set on “fluff” so it kept kicking on all through the night.

Lovely period property with friendly staff and nice location. The rooms could do with a bit of a refresh but overall the stay was very comfortable and convenient. The restaurant that is adjoined to the hotel is fabulous with excellent food at very reasonable prices.

We stayed at this lovely small town hotel that has lots of charm. It's a historical building and the owners are very nice. You get complimentary pastries and coffee in the morning. They offer pre order at the local cafe across the street so there's no waiting in line. The room was clean and had old school charm. I wish the soaking tub jets were working but overall was quite and a nice place to stay as we were visiting Yosemite for two days. There are a few nice decent restaurants a short walking distance away but the only thing was we weren't informed ahead of the parking lot being a bit tricky to find initially but we figured it out. We would stay again.

Beware!!! This hotel will lose power ( found out it happens a lot!) you will not get any discounts or refunds. We were without power the entire evening so no water , no charging phones for maps when you leave , no shower etc. Was terrible! The owner left the bldg that evening saying “ I’m sure it will come back on by morning”:: It didn’t and we never saw him again when we left at 8:00 am. I left a note asking for some sort of discount but no - saw he immediately charged my card full price. RUN from this place ,

Nice boutique hotel in Groveland, CA! The owners are wonderful. Our room was excellent and the staff went beyond their way to accommodating for our needs. So glad we decided on this quant town while in Yosemite Natl Park!

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Charlotte for our 25th wedding anniversary. Finn and his excellent staff had a bottle of chilled champagne and chocolates waiting for us in the room when we arrived. It was truly remarkable. We will be going back soon. Service was outstanding and people were really friendly. Thanks again Finn, you didn't disappoint!

This place is quaint and the bed was comfortable. The host was welcoming and full of information about the town and hotel. However, there was no attendant in the morning when I went out for coffee and to load the car, the key to the front door did not work, even with the suggested jiggling. Luckily someone was there to let me in, and the second time no one was there and I panicked but went around and found the back door unlocked. I highly suggest getting keys that work. It gave me a good scare wondering how long I would have to wait to be let in.

Beautifully renovated historic hotel. An absolute gem. The night we stayed there was truly special and memorable. Perfect place to stop over on the way from the Bay Area to Yosemite. Got great info and service from the owner.

Wonderful small hotel that's about an hour away from Yosemite. My friends and I (3 people total) booked a family double room which consisted of 1 queen bed in one room, 2 twin beds in another room, connected by the restroom. We found the room to be clean and comfortable. We should note that the shower was a bit awkward to use, since it's basically just a bathtub with shower curtains surrounding all sides of it (as opposed to, say, curtains covering part of the tub and a wall on the other). That said, we didn't really have any issues with it. We arrived at the hotel pretty late (probably around 10pm), when there was no one actively working at the front desk. That said, the owner, presumably Finn, left us a key to get into the hotel and further left us the room keys with my name on the front desk, so it was easy to get into our rooms. Speaking of Finn, although I never got to meet him in-person, Finn was very responsive via Expedia chat and answered all of my questions, so I very much appreciate him for that. Some other minor things to note: - there's free simple breakfast, consisting of fruit, donuts, and muffins. There's not a lot, though, so it's probably not a bad idea to have your own breakfast ready. - there is a fridge, although we did find that some other guests took some of the water that we left in the fridge, even after labeling them. Overall, a very wonderful hotel. I'll definitely come back whenever I go to Yosemite again :)

A must stay if you are visiting Yosemite. Property manager was extremely helpful in guiding us to our visit at Yosemite National Park. The property itself is like no other-- feel like you are going back in time. Rooms are large and clean. Location is the best around.

Very nice antique hotel but no number or person for help. And we need someone because the heater isn’t working, and it’s chilly. We’ve tried but to no avail, so it’s always important to have a contact when something doesn’t work. Thank you Ginger Pepper

My daughter and I spent the night here after backpacking in Yosemite for three nights. The owners were super friendly and the hotel is charming. It is located on the main street of Groveland so easy walk to everywhere in town. It seems. Also if you have a Tesla, it’s super conveniently located to the chargers. The water in our shower turned very hot to very cold unpredictably and that was really the only unpleasant part of our stay.

Hotel Charlotte is a historic hotel with lots of old-world charm and associated character. It is centrally located in Groveland and is a perfect launching point for a day in Yosemite Valley. The proprietor is extremely welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area.

Really cool hotel. Great evening in the beer garden listening to jazz and enjoying good food and drinks. Hotel has fascinating history and our room was lovely while also reflecting that.

Staff was terrific for all three days of our stay: Finn; Alex; Shana; GiGi; Angie; etc. Their restaurant is great with a reasonably priced chef-driven menu including specials! Groveland is a cute town with owner operated business including the best ice cream in the Western U.S. at Grove Mercantile! Love our visit and will gladly go back.

What a beautiful and inviting hotel! Comfortable atmosphere, town and the beds were SO comfortable! Finn and his wife could not have been nicer. Great bar & restaurant. Lovely town and not far from Yosemite NP entrance. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely period property with friendly staff and nice location. The rooms could do with a bit of a refresh but overall the stay was very comfortable and convenient. The restaurant that is adjoined to the hotel is fabulous with excellent food at very reasonable prices.

Incroyable, un gérant super, accueillant, du pur logement à l’américaine et en face du plus vieux saloon de californie un régal. Groverland est à faire après visites Yosemite et sur le chemin pour San Francisco. Arrêtons si possible les chaînes hôtelières. Coup de cœur.

The hotel was very clean and welcoming. All the facilities were very accessible and the staff works with you to make your stay comfortable. We reached out to the hotel for late check-in, and they were very cooperative with the whole process. I would highly recommend staying here if you are interested in a homely vibe. We will definitely stay here again !

Gäster som planerar att ankomma senare måste kontakta boendet minst 48 timmar före ankomst för att få instruktioner om sen incheckning.
