Hotel & bar Royal taste Amsterdam

Booked room for 3. Was placed in room for 4 that felt like a youth hostel. There was a small sink in bathroom with faucet that extended 3/4 over the bowl. This cause water to splash on the floor whenever you used. Lighting in room was super dim and make it feel very depressing. We all chose to pass on using the shower.

The room was huge! Great view of the canal and red district. The staff was great!!! They are so kind! My booking came with complimentary wine, which was also good. Walkable location. Due to the location, there will be lots of noise until late night. Didn't bother me personally. The bar downstairs is charming.

Staff were friendly, treated you like a family member visiting from out of town, and really made the experience for me. Thanks team.

Horrible property. Literally located above the girls in the window area of the city. Random people loitering about. They should clearly illustrate where they are located. Did not wind up staying there.

This was a great simple room. I was expecting the hotel to be noisy being in the heart of the Red Light district and yet I had a calm peaceful night's sleep after a fun night out. The shower and bed were great. The staff were courteous and helpful. I recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Amsterdam.
