Magnuson Extended Stay and Suites Airport Hotel

Wi-Fi not available in room. No hot water. No soap. No coffee available. Cats and dogs as pets right outside the doors and on stairs. Animal droppings all over. I was afraid to sleep under the sheets for fear of bed bugs.

You go inside to what appears to be a restaurant and a little shop, however the shop is all enclosed with a wall and glass. Check they wanted to take a $25 deposit and also wanted to add $5 administrative fee on top of what I paid Expedia. Went to the room and property is full of run down vehicles and exterior is not clean. Room itself hadn’t been swept or vacuumed. Dead bugs on the floor and overall turn off. I failed to say when you check in you get a roll of toilet paper solid to you under the glass like you are at the commissary in prison. I quickly returned back to the office and said I wouldn’t be staying there. The clerk didn’t really give a damn and I asked for the refund and she didn’t even respond much.

No elevators for going up stairs. You can hear everything like the room was paper thin. The floor was dirty. As you step into the bathtub, the dirt from the floor was visible as you taking the shower. The towels were as thin as a napkin. The AC was loud. I had to ask how to change the water flow into a shower. The room really smells bad.

I didn't like that the picture and information given about the property was deceptive. Also, I was charged the refundable deposit to have a room on the 1st floor "upgrade". There are no elevators. Definitely would not recommend.

They take an extra $30 deposit atcheck in, you have to physically return the key or you loose it, i still haven't gotten my deposit back. Just stayed overnight for 5 hours, no mess. Very suspect parkink lot, building and u its were redone, but still more of a residence for suspect people still moving aroind in parking lot well past 2am.

Has a cafe attached to the hotel, very good food, very nice staff

Loud music noise in the middle of the night from other rooms. Room are not not maintained well. Furniture feels too many years old. Outside area has so many people who look like junkies and doesn't feel safe when coming late at night at all. The worse is, the toilet smells bad and many times it smells like weed in the toilet.

Very dangerous environment. Paid for this hotel but took the loss to sleep at another hotel. Did not feel safe in the parking lot.

Front desk had a ton of options to purchase. Also had a restaurant on the property that was fantastic.

The Worst Hotel Experience of My Life – Avoid at All Costs! If I could give zero stars, I would. This place is beyond sketchy – every room reeks like someone has been chain-smoking in there for days. The sheets were full of stains, the mattress didn’t even have a proper cover, and the towels they provide are absolutely disgusting and stained. Do yourself a favor and bring your own if you ever end up here (though I strongly suggest you don’t). The room looked old, dirty, and in terrible condition overall. I booked through Hotels.com, and upon arrival, the manager – a rude man named Kalu – demanded a $25 security deposit. He offered me an “upgrade” and told me that if I accepted it, the deposit would be non-refundable. I agreed without seeing the room. Big mistake. The moment I walked into the room, I turned around and went straight back to the lobby. I told him I didn’t want to stay and wanted to cancel the reservation. He told me it was up to Hotels.com. When I called Hotels.com, they said the manager refused to approve the cancellation based on the hotel’s policy. I was forced to stay for 6 nights in this dump. When I asked for the $25 back for the so-called “upgrade,” he refused, even though it was clearly the same room category I had already paid for. Total scam. Kalu is unprofessional, extremely rude, and has no respect for guests or his own business. I had zero housekeeping in 6 days. No towel change, no room cleaning. On day 5, I called to request new towels.

The room we had was not clean at all. Stains all over the walls, sheets, and the TV. Insects in the room and a smell we couldnt figure out where it was coming from. Could not stay there another minute. Demanded a refund and went to another hotel.

This place was the WORST I have ever stayed in, but far, even though it cost me $100 for the night. I booked a nonsmoking room, but the place smelled like cigarettes, and there were cigarette burns on the comforter. The pillows were old and filthy (also lumpy, as if that matters compared to the rest of it)! We couldn't even use them, because I didn't want to breathe whatever was dust, dirt, and smoke was inside . . . just so bad. You could see stains all over them, and half of them were kind of compacted, like they get when they are really old. The bedding was old and pilled, and the comforter was so thin I had to use towels from the bathroom as an extra "blanklet." Even the air conditioner let out a musty smell when you turned it on, like there was mold in it or something. It was just so, so, SO bad. Really! Honestly, of all the reviews I have written in my life that may have had a complaint or two, this is the one place/thing I REALLY want you to avoid. If I had to take back every other customer complaint I've made in my life in order to pick the very worst, THIS would be it. Please, just don't stay here.

Roaches in the room.

The outside is definitely not what the inside looks like..people do live there but the cleanliness was amazing in the room. I was taken back how clean it was. Not one roach not one dust bunny!! Cleaner than most hotels I’ve been in.

Everything in the hotel smelled terrible, like cigarettes and everything was very unclean.

Had bed bugs all over the bed & had blood stains all over the covers

Over priced, room wasn't worth the price. Dead bugs on ceiling, sheets had stains. Won't be back.

I would like my refund because the room wasnt even ready it didnt have a top blanket and sheet wasnt even fixed right and no toilet paper and no top of the air conditioner and the door didnt even close unless you had to close it really hard and someone tried to open it up and the housekeeper came really late knocking on the door and said the room wasnt reasy and it needed yo be moped and etc it was horrible never again

Ive used Hotels.com for several years and i cant believe the pictures that are posted are nowhere near what the real rooms look like , this place was rundown and dirty with no remote for the TV , a big 2" gap under the door , ratty drapes and overall a pitiful place to stay

The guy behind the counter took 20 minutes just to check us in. We get to our room and literally roaches everywhere. No toilet paper. Had to go back down to the main office to get toilet paper. The curtains don’t cover the window. They left a large portion of the window exposed to whoever walked by. The air conditioner worked but is loud as hell. Worst hotel ever!

The “system was down” but conveniently came back up after the guy finished his personal phone call, then he tried to keep our security/incidentals deposit so we could “upgrade” to a king bed instead of a queen. Finally checked in and went to the room. The door was already open, the room smelled of cigarette smoke, there was hair on the towels, the dresser was missing a chunk of wood, and the fridge was rusted through. To top it off, the in-unit AC was broken (the panel was cracked and the outlet didn’t work to plug it into) so the room was 88°. In Texas. In the summer. We checked out and requested a refund within half an hour, but have yet to receive so much as the security/incidentals deposit back, let alone the whole room cost.

No housekeeping and deposit after already paid online and the room was just a bed and a tv no couch or chair. I really want my money back just stay cause it was nonrefundable

They charge me a " Deposit", that they did could not explain why, just they that "deposit" should be returned to my account after the check-out. Is more than 7 days that I checked-out and I didn\'t receive back that "deposit", looks like was just an excuse to make an extra charge with no reason. I tried to call the hotel several times but the people who answered the phone "don\'t know about the deposits" and they said that I have to call back in other time. I\'m VERY DESAPPOINTED with the hotel service.

Horrible Service they stole $30 from me they asked for a key deposit I returned the key they never reimbursed me the staff was very unfriendly

Management was horrible. There were no face towels in the room and when we requested for extra towels, We were told they don't do that and towels were for the week. Also we were assigned 3rd floor room and denied elevator access

we stayed for an hour and then left to go to another hotel - was FILTHY - tried multiple times to contact property for refund - still no response almost a month later - DO NOT recommend!!!

You should honestly tell from the start that there’s an additional administration fee and deposit. Also there is no toilet paper in the bathroom when I called the guy at the reception desk he told me to come and pick it all the way through I clearly told him that I’m in the bathroom.

The hotel is located in a unsafe place and hard to access from the highway. In addition, the room was not that clean, no soap or towels and there was only one electric outlet.

Upon pulling in you notice an undesirable element immediately, prostitutes, drug addicts, whay I'm guessing are eiter dealers or pimps or both. Made a cirlcle and there was much more drugs and drug instruments.

Overall experience with these establishments was terrible, its was way to expensive for 1 night only, when it came time to check in I was greeted with the surprise of hidden fees and a refusal of a refund, the place is not located in a nice part of town several unsavory characters around, unable to rest beds are of poor quality, had to get up several time and check my vehicle since several car alarms when off true the night, all night there was ppl outside my room and around messing with doors, do not recommend, with the money spend here one can just stay at a brand name hotel as a Hilton or something along those lines

This place was just foul. It’s home to mostly weekly or monthly residents with their barking dogs and sketchy behavior. Features of the property include: 1. Incomprehensible staff at check-in because they are BEHIND BULLETPROOF GLASS in a room that doubles as a convenience store without a working speaker. 2. Cockroaches 3. Residents grilling food in the parking lot spaces because they live there but they can’t cook in the room. 4. Yelling and screaming 5. Surprise charges. They charged $30 per night for pets, not $10 as they advertise. 6. No refund of deposit as promised—I had to file a dispute with the credit card company 7. Enough toilet paper to use the toilet exactly one time, with no extra rolls 8. Smelly rooms, unclean carpets 9. Dog crap all over the parking lot and surrounding area 10. People living in their cars in the parking lot 11. A warning at the check-in that if you stay in the room for even five minutes, there are no refunds; Think about why they have to have that warning there 12. Curtains that don’t close all the way 13. Broken and damaged furniture I would drive an hour outside of town if this were the last hotel room available in Dallas (it practically was in my case—I was there for the total solar eclipse).

Do not book here. Upon check in i felt catfished. It was dirty, trash everywhere and sketchy people loitering all about, arguing and smoking. We requested a non smoking room. When I checked in they made me pay a deposit, and a “key” fee in order to get the key to my room. They told me it would be refunded upon checkout, it wasn’t. I get to the room, there’s holes in the floors, the door doesn’t close all the way, it STINKS of cigarettes, there’s no hot water in my room and no toilet paper or linens. I called 3 times trying to reach someone about toilet paper. No answer. My partner went to the office to get toilet paper. There’s no garbage in the bathroom for feminine products so we had to buy a garbage bag. There was chewed gum stuck to the floors, and it was filthy. We couldn’t cancel so we just dealt with it. There was loud arguing from our neighbors all night, and at 4am someone was yelling and banging on our door. I called multiple times to speak to staff about changing our room or getting a refund and no one answered. Do not stay here. It’s neither safe nor clean and the staff was 0 help.

They charge you an additional deposit apart from what you pay for online. They tried to “upsell” us and said that the deposit could be used to upgrade the room to a deluxe room because we were placed in a section where people have extended stays. This place is very sketchy and is not at all a 4/5 place. This place has broken down cars, dropped semi trailers, and even hookers walking around. It took me 45 minutes to get checked in and decided not to stay the entire night.
