No microwave, no hair dryer, curtains frayed and hanging off rod . Got to room TV playing??? door lock work once in a while Checked out clearly and refused a refund for unused nights. Manager spoke broken English Would not recommend

Guests booking with Hotels.com do not get the top rate rooms anyway but our room was not good. Plugs stopped working and we couldnt open the curtains at all. The one good thing was there was laundry facilities

Location was good. Staff was excellent. Room was clean but dated. The shower was unusable. There was no reliable temperature regulation. Meaning it would go from scolding to cold.

Very Clean. Bed comfort was ok. Sheets very clean. AC worked very well. Bathroom had a pink tub that’s how old it was but it was clean, water pressure was good, water was hot. Vanity was very small. Would have loved to have a table in the room. Customer service was very good. People were friendly.

This is a none expensive kind of hotel. The from desk friendly and those staying at the time I was there too. Room was very clean, had micro coffee maker fridge and air conditioning worked well and good lighting. Bed was comfortable TV had cable & movie channels. There is no luxury here but for the price you cant go wrong. It's close to food restaurants ice-cream parlor Wal-Mart pharmacy and automotive stores. Close to museums, waterfalls coal mine rivers forests and attractions in Tennessee and Kentucky area. I will stay here again. You make your stay what you want it to be. I made my stay here a great one!

Must have been in a non updated room. Most doors are card key but mine was turn key. No phone or amenities. Pictures on website does not look like this room. Bathroom was very out dated and very dirty!!! Holes in the walls. Bed was obviously broken due to the noise when set on. Holes in the blanlets. Did metion to office about lack of towels and toilet paper. They apologized due to new house keeping. I cant say i wouldn't recommend this location but hope they update all rooms.

This was the worst room we have stayed in-ever. It was NOT clean. There was hair and dirt all over the bed along with the stains. The lamp was rusty and dusty. The chain on the door didnt work. Dirty floors. My kids were scared to sleep there and my husband and I weren't far from it. I would never recommend staying here for anyone! There was no staff there at night.

What a dump. That being said you have to have some pretty low expectations for the price. Drafty room,mildew in the shower, noisy hot water boiler that sounded like a jet engine, can hear people’s conversations plain as day in the next rooms. The list goes on and on. The only positive thing I can say is it has hot water.

The place was sketchy. The front desk guy was nice I guess, lets just say you can tell lives in the property or something. The room was small, small bathroom, nothing is good quality, not even the tv, there is no "royal" feeling about the stay. The privacy was poor, another customer tried to get in our room at one point. The owner kept pacing back and forth in front of our room over night, looking creepy. The curtains are sorta of see through with certain light. We could hear everything going on outside, super thin walls. In the morning we stepped out to smoke hoping to get privacy and the manger just rudely interrupted our private time to ask if we were leaving yet, like why would we leave without checking out? Anyway, I would never stay here again. This was an emergency stay, next emergency am staying somewhere else.

Royal Inn was convenient to where I needed to be to meet my friends from TN. I was pleasantly impressed that it was managed by a family. The manager did a great job of greeting me and offering assistance if needed during my entire stay. The staff were helpful and friendly. I would stay there again.

The hotel is somewhat antiquated. You get what you pay for. Used to have an outside pool. Parking lot needs paving. Fridge and microwave OK. TV - had to figure out how to turn it on due to having to supply "input" (HDMI1 info) with remote. No hair blow dryer, although it said on the list of items on the door if you took it, you would be charged for it. But I must say the room was clean; A/C worked fine. Comically, the hot and cold faucets were reversed. It was hard to regulate the shower. Bed was firm & comfortable. Management of Indian descent; hard to understand his speech. But he was very friendly and I'm sure accommodating if we would have asked.

TV - had to figure out how to turn it on due to having to supply "input" (HDMI1 info) with remote. No hair blow dryer, although it said on the list of items on the door if you took it, you would be charged for it. But I must say the room was clean; A/C worked fine. Comically, the hot and cold faucets were reversed. It was hard to regulate the shower. Bed was firm & comfortable. Management of Indian descent; hard to understand his speech. But he was very friendly and I'm sure accommodating if we would have asked.

Didn't expect much going in and got what I expected. Had an appointment in the general area the next day and had to stay somewhere - this was the ONLY option in town. It's the permanent residence for many people who were there and we were scuttled off to a corner unit that looked like a reconfigured storage or staff room. Hotel management live in the next room! Short stay when just needing somewhere to get some sleep, ok - but wouldn't stay any longer.

RThe room was simply filthy, from the front door all the way to the bathroom, and gave off a foul odor; you’d have to be pretty brave to take a shower in a bathroom like that. The laundry room was downright disgusting: a veritable breeding ground for bacteria. The photos on the website don’t match reality; everything is dirty and the atmosphere is unpleasant... In short, avoid this place at all costs. )
