We stood at the Hill Top tavern Inn wanting to stay low key and away from everyone else wasaa aAaas stayed there for a just a bit over a week while we were there we met the owners who live on the property she has raised her kids and grandkids there. I met there manager Stephanie she’s also the hotel maid she was so kind and helpful to us in accommodating me in getting me anything I needed They have a restaurant and live cover bands over the weekend Also have a gazebo to be married if interested there’s 10 units it’s quit and away from EveryThe view is beautiful

This is completely false advertising. This is neither a Tavern nor an Inn nor is it a Hotel. This is a Motel with an event facility that is associated with it down the road. You can't normally get a meal or a drink here. If you are planning on staying at a Hotel where you can come back to your room at night and get a good meal with a drink, this is not the place. If you want a hotel where you can chat with people at the bar, this is not the place. If you want a very old, but well kept, Motel where you drive up to your room and go right to bed because there is literally nothing else to do, then this is the place for you. For anyone that has rated this facility 10/10, I sincerely hope that life turns around for them and they get to stay somewhere that is a genuine 10/10 Hotel. Because they clearly have never seen one in their life. I would never recommend this facility to anyone. When I first drove up the dirt road to the location, there wasn't a car in the parking lot. That's because the "tavern" is normally closed. You have to get back in your car and drive a few hundred yards further down a dirt road to get to your Motel room. This is not a Hilltop Tavern and Inn and it should be legally required to rename itself.

The rooms were very well kept. Reminds you of a B&B. The fact that we could open the sliding door and have not only a view of the valley below but also a beautiful sunset was so amazing. The tavern had live entertainment band that rocked. Walking distance from our room. We definitely thought this place was undersold. We would've given it a top rating if not for the lack of temperature control in our rooms. I dont know if our vent was broken, but it was extremely cold and the wind was gushing in from the roof top vent. Not even the little area heater they provided could over come how cold it was. It was hard to sleep.

Arrived…did not have reservation. Sold out. But before we could leave the Tavern manager contacted inn manager and gave us a room ….people reserving it card had been declined. Was just right. Exactly what I was looking for.

Room was clean. Nice, but a little rough around the edges. Missing a few tiles in the shower and some trim/base board. The heating vent overhead was a direct conduit of sound to our neighbors room. We could hear talk, tv, snoring, etc. The mattress had a distinct sag in the middle and caused us to roll into it. But, the place, overall was well kept, beautiful views, friendly, nice and fun restaurant/ bar, fair priced, etc. We look forward to giving it another try, just a different room.

They have bands on the weekend that perform and are cover bands they have a gazebo for weddings the scenery is beautiful it’s out in the middle of no where apple valley I love that it’s secluded the rooms are little suites they offer a sink microwave dishes coffee

We stayed for two nights and were very pleased. Our room was scrupulously clean and free of dust which is difficult in the desert. The beds were the most comfortable we slept in on this 12 day car trip. We especially loved the totally contactless check in process and keyless entry. Would definitely stay again if we're in the area.

This property has so much potential but there are areas that are lacking. The rooms had a shared AC unit that could not be controlled. The vent allowed noise from other rooms to our room. Our neighbor was involved in an all night sex encounter that was clearly heard in our room. The shower was not finished properly. The drain was a hole in the ground. We found a footprint on the inside sliding glass door.

Enjoyed my stay much more this time than the last couple times I don't know if it's cuz the room I was in was in better condition than the other ones or what but it smelled very clean when we walked in it felt very clean my only problem was the people in the room next to us we're banging on the wall all night and I have no idea what they were doing or why but every couple of minutes you would hear a thud it was very annoying but you can't blame the property manager for that they have no control over what people do in their rooms they just need to be more considerate realizing there is somebody on the other side of that wall

I liked staying here. Everyone was nice and the rooms were clean and comfy. My only complaints are how cold my room was and how hard it was to find the property. Otherwise, I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a comfy and quiet stay with a gorgeous view.

The only issues we had were that the wifi was not working. We had to connect to our own hotspot in order to watch some tv. Also the walls are very thin and the vent/ AC that’s connected to all the room is the worst idea. All the noise from the rooms next door would come through. We were stuck between two very loud neighbors who were cracking up very loudly at 2am.

Spent a night while waiting to pick up wife & granddaughter. Hilltop had a nostalgic feel, est 1947, of travel in the 50s. Reservation online & all communication, which was great, was through texts, to include room number & access code. Housekeeping staff was friendly & helpful. Only recommendation would be for better signage. Finding the Tavern easy, little mor of a challenge initially locating the room.

We arrived late and we noticed one used toilet paper roll, luckily we brought our wipes but what an incredible inconvenience if we weren't prepared for this situation its late and no one to complain too everyone was gone so it seemed

We stayed for two nights and were very pleased. Our room was scrupulously clean and free of dust which is difficult in the desert. The beds were the most comfortable we slept in on this 12 day car trip. We especially loved the totally contactless check in process and keyless entry. Would definitely stay again if we're in the area.

Stephanie made my stay so comfortable and welcoming. I stayed for a post-op procedure. She checked in on me several times to make sure i was ok. Thank you so much!

Spent a night while waiting to pick up wife & granddaughter. Hilltop had a nostalgic feel, est 1947, of travel in the 50s. Reservation online & all communication, which was great, was through texts, to include room number & access code. Housekeeping staff was friendly & helpful. Only recommendation would be for better signage. Finding the Tavern easy, little mor of a challenge initially locating the room.

Thought it was a Hotel, not a motel. WAY too overpriced for a motel. Hard to find and on dirt roads. Apparently no Common Courtesy Curfew. Others that were 3 or 4 units down were so loud, that they finally quieted down around 3:30 am or so.....it was very hard to sleep.

I adore this little place hidden in the desert.... You'd never know about this gem if you weren't a local ... It's a great place to get peace and quiet from the outside world ...

They have bands on the weekend that perform and are cover bands they have a gazebo for weddings the scenery is beautiful it’s out in the middle of no where apple valley I love that it’s secluded the rooms are little suites they offer a sink microwave dishes coffee

The view is the most beautiful scene ever. It's a panoramic view for sure and you can open your back door slider or blinds and have an awesome view all day. In the night time you can see whole cities light up with breathtaking views and wows in every direction. Great place for a staycation, vacation or just a weekend retreat.

We stood at the Hill Top tavern Inn wanting to stay low key and away from everyone else wasaa aAaas stayed there for a just a bit over a week while we were there we met the owners who live on the property she has raised her kids and grandkids there. I met there manager Stephanie she’s also the hotel maid she was so kind and helpful to us in accommodating me in getting me anything I needed They have a restaurant and live cover bands over the weekend Also have a gazebo to be married if interested there’s 10 units it’s quit and away from EveryThe view is beautiful

This is completely false advertising. This is neither a Tavern nor an Inn nor is it a Hotel. This is a Motel with an event facility that is associated with it down the road. You can't normally get a meal or a drink here. If you are planning on staying at a Hotel where you can come back to your room at night and get a good meal with a drink, this is not the place. If you want a hotel where you can chat with people at the bar, this is not the place. If you want a very old, but well kept, Motel where you drive up to your room and go right to bed because there is literally nothing else to do, then this is the place for you. For anyone that has rated this facility 10/10, I sincerely hope that life turns around for them and they get to stay somewhere that is a genuine 10/10 Hotel. Because they clearly have never seen one in their life. I would never recommend this facility to anyone. When I first drove up the dirt road to the location, there wasn't a car in the parking lot. That's because the "tavern" is normally closed. You have to get back in your car and drive a few hundred yards further down a dirt road to get to your Motel room. This is not a Hilltop Tavern and Inn and it should be legally required to rename itself.

The rooms were very well kept. Reminds you of a B&B. The fact that we could open the sliding door and have not only a view of the valley below but also a beautiful sunset was so amazing. The tavern had live entertainment band that rocked. Walking distance from our room. We definitely thought this place was undersold. We would've given it a top rating if not for the lack of temperature control in our rooms. I dont know if our vent was broken, but it was extremely cold and the wind was gushing in from the roof top vent. Not even the little area heater they provided could over come how cold it was. It was hard to sleep.

Room was clean. Nice, but a little rough around the edges. Missing a few tiles in the shower and some trim/base board. The heating vent overhead was a direct conduit of sound to our neighbors room. We could hear talk, tv, snoring, etc. The mattress had a distinct sag in the middle and caused us to roll into it. But, the place, overall was well kept, beautiful views, friendly, nice and fun restaurant/ bar, fair priced, etc. We look forward to giving it another try, just a different room.

Love the place wonderful view. Nice clean rooms. But bad experience. Was attack by someone’s dog well my dog was attack and I got bit other that. I loved the place.

Very cute the only thing I did not like was the larkinglot was dirt so it tracked into my car and the room, other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Manager was terrific. I was not feeling well and she tried to accommodate me. When we arrived we were surprised when we pulled off the highway to a dirt road. Room was clean but no amenities. Very small. Tavern was closed on a Saturday night at 6:00 pm. Not where I wanted to be. I tried to cancel through Expedia but couldn’t because it was past cancellation date. WE DID NOT STAY AT HOTEL. WE WERE CHARGED FULL PRICE. WE HAD NOT TOUCHED A THING. We drove home to San Diego instead. It is VERY OBVIOUS Expedia has NOT made an on-sight diligence re this property. It does not deserve an 8.8 rating. You should refund me my payment. It was not a good experience and I was charged full price.
