Peoperty is clean and has good staff. I love the fact that practically everything is automated so if you dont even want the human interface with most of the hotel services, that is possible. I enjoyed my stay and will come back

Hôtel bien situé proche de Nelson Mandela square et des centres commerciaux de Sandton city. Bien pour 1 ou 2 nuits. Chambre propre et confortable, un peu petite mais avec des espaces optimisés. Le spa est super pour se relaxer ainsi que la piscine. Le petit déjeuner est correct.

I stayed here while on tour with G adventures. The double room was the same size as the single room. Great breakfast options with eggs made to order. I enjoyed the amenities, particularly the spa and the pool/bar area. Only issue was WiFi was spotty in the room.

A arquitetura moderna e as instalações impecáveis chamaram atenção logo de cara. O quarto era espaçoso, limpo e bem equipado, com cortina automática, achei um luxo de tecnologia. A cama super confortável garantiu ótimas noites de sono. O Wi-Fi era rápido e estável, o que foi essencial para minhas atividades durante a viagem. As áreas comuns são um espetáculo à parte – muito animal print e iluminação bafônicos. A academia e a piscina também são destaques, muito bem cuidadas. Amei a African pool party! Outro ponto positivo foi a localização. O hotel está próximo ao Sandton City e Mandela Square, facilitando passeios e compras. Definitivamente voltarei em futuras visitas à cidade. Recomendo a todos que procuram conforto, luxo e conveniência em Joanesburgo!

Rooms were smaller than expected. But for the price id definetly stay again. The place is in a good location close to the mall. The staff were really nice. Parking included with lots of spots and easy to get in and out. Check in/out could not be easier.

I didn’t like them everything is done in the app for the hotel Phones don’t work Am 60 ding like using an app to get a bottle of water etc Staff were not good informing me of what lift to use.. whet time breakfast was. Needed a remote for tv. Took me to ask twice I should of used the app they said Anyway nice enough hotel Just not my thing

clean hotel, like the 24/7 coffee machine in the hallway, courteous staff, walking distance to Mandela Square. I did not use the parking at this hotel but they do have underground parking.

This is a wonderful hotel in a vibrant part of Joburg. I used the gym facility and loved breakfast.

Great hotel to spend NYE. Small but comfortable room, great design. Fabulous interiors and bars and restaurants.

This hotel was fantastic! The location is perfect and extremely close to the Nelson Mandela Square which has amazing food options and a great atmosphere and shopping. The hotel included a fantastic breakfast, an awesome workout facility, and the rooms were very cozy. We loved our stay!

Excellent service, clean rooms, good food

It took 3 attempts before I could get a descent room. 1st room assigned was small, dirty, curtain torn. 2nd room assigned had all sheets and beddings on the floor. 3rd room was descent. The 2 receptionists had no clue of which room was clean and ready to be assigned and they were laughing as if that was acceptable.

I loved my stay at Hotel Sky. I spent 3 nights and I like the fact that the hotel is well located, it’s very clean , okay breakfast and the staff were very helpful especially Cecilia at the reception. She’s dedicated

The 2 receptionists had no clue on which room was clean and ready to be assigned. I had to be very assertive and asked to see each room assigned first. 1st room small, dirty, curtain torn. 2nd room had the sheets and beddings on the floor. 3rd room was descent. And the receptionists were laughing as if that was acceptable. Some people are clueless about customer service. Walking to the local mall or local restaurants from the hotel can be anxiety provoking. I would not do it after sunset. Breakfast was descent with many choices. The gym was ok. The Massage Therapist is very competent.

Excelente localização, excelente café da amanha. Tem aquecedor e chuveiro muito bom. A cama é apertada na parede e o quarto bem pequeno, não tem onde abrir a mala

The room and property was clean. My biggest complaint is that there was only one outlet and it was far away from the head of the bed. Hotel Skye can elevate the rooms by installing at least 1 outlet above the nightstand by the bed. It would be good if they can integrate USB-C charging ports too.

HOTEL MUITO BEM LOCALIZADO, LIMPO, BOM CAFE DA MANHA. QUARTO MUITO APERTADO.

Hotel é lindo, porém os quartos sao de CHORAR! Minusculos, cama encostada na parede de forma que quem esta no canto tem que passar por cima do outro pra sair, o ar condicionado central estava quente e com o controle BLOQUEADO pra regular, passamos noites terriveis de calor, solicitamos o servico pra consertar e NADA, nao tinha frigobar no quarto , se quisesse agua, tem um bilhete falando que a agua QUENTE da torneira era potavel. Quarto muuuuito pequeno, com um lugar de 50cm x 50cm LITERALMENTE pra pendurar roupa, e as malas tinham que ficar ESPALHADAS pelo quarto na frente da cama, sendo puladas pra subir pra cama. Fora que falam que e cama queen mas é cama casal, pequena.

Check in was terrible as they allowed a whole bus to block the way in front of the hotel for drop off, the signs pointing to where to park for check in esp for underground parking are not clear. the scanning machine (for drivers license and license disk) was not working hence too much time wasted on that on both check in and exit

The hotel itself was in excellent condition. However it took almost an hour to check in, to be told that the room was not ready for as, at 5pm! The bean to cup coffee was great, until it ran out of milk and it took 3 calls to reception over an hour to get the issue resolved. The other machine on the floor needed emptying. With no kettle in the rooms, it was a long morning.

I rated the staff service as average because we booked transport to take us to the arrival station and it didn't show up and we had to hire a taxi.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Sky, they are very attentive towards your needs and at every opportunity they offer excellent customer service, whether it's the waiting, bar, spa or reception staff. They offer excellent buffet breakfasts with something to suit all taste buds. It felt like a home for us away from home, which is why they get 5 stars, I highly recommend them!

Yes, the staff in general was okay. Lack of professionalism, the restaurant horrible they need a cooch or a chef that knows what he's doing, same think for breakfast as simple as someone that could fry an egg. Second night 3 guys from the hotel staff knocked aggressively at my room just at midnight the guy in the middle was holding a credit card machine. It turned out that they had the wrong room it was a mistake. After I closed the door I hear them back from my room doing the same abnocious banging on another room down the hallway. Who would that? They couldn't wait until the morning or couldn't they use the phone. I mentioned the incident to the reception the second day and informed them about my name and my room number not to do that again? The unprofessional receptionist or manager asked me if i had my do not disturb sign at the door. I replied the way they knocked on the door that was not going to hold them back. And she mumbled to the staff behind her the incident. Will never step a for again at this hotel. This morning i had a stomach atrocious pain after breakfast. I'm not putting 1 star because i have sympathy to the staff working their such a nice people and very devoted but the management is at fault 100%, they didn't provide any but it's obvious that no training was given to their staff.

Started off on bad footing. I booked a suite, but when I checked in and got to my room it was a tiny little box. Went back down to reception, was given a different room, an executive room. This was still not right. Back down to reception I go, and a staff member tried to fob me off and said “actually we have just changed the names of our rooms, and that is a junior suite now”, however it was still not the room I paid for. It took for a manager to get involved for me to finally get the room I’d actually booked. The suite was nice, a good size with good facilities, including a mini fridge, coffee machine and bath. I think I would’ve gone a bit crazy in the smaller room. One of the nights I was there, there was an alarm. At first I thought it was a fire alarm as there was a noise and red light, but the alarm then stated “an incident has been reported in the building, please listen for further instructions”. This went off four times. I am a solo female traveller in Johannesburg, and this alarm frightened me. I locked both my doors and waited. Nothing ever came from the alarm, no further instructions or a reassurance everything was ok. I asked at breakfast and they said it was probably the smoke detector from the kitchens, but I can’t say I’m convinced. If it was a fire alarm just state that, an “incident” could’ve been anything, and my mind (and heart) was racing. The breakfast food was ok. Due to the decor (which I loved) the hotel is full of “influencers” filming everything.

Hotel Sky is one of my favorite places of accommodation.It is a stylish, comfortable, and affordable boutique hotel, very secure and centrally located near Mandela Square. I love the available coffee and tea facilities and the excellent restaurants, the friendly reception and helpful staff.

It's an ok property. It's within walking distance of the train station and Sandton Mall.

It’s a great place to stay in Johannesburg area. The area is safe to walk around. Hotel is great with nice rooms and good amenities.

No complaints at all. Wonderful staff. Wonderful dinner and breakfast options. Pay the extra for the breakfast!!! Rooms were a tad small. If I stayed again, id pay a little more for the option above the standard room. Self check in was decent because we arrived at the same time of a large sports team, so that was quicker. It was very quite at night. I felt safe at all times. Only a few mins walk to Mandela Square.

My wife was denied entry to the room on arrival. She arrived later than me, I had left the room key at reception, having gone out. They didn't ask for her identity card or similar. I saw her message of distress and phoned the hotel to solve the matter. The hotel is located very close to Sandton convention centre and Nelson Mandela square. This is very good.

Affordable property fire the area. However, buffet menus are starting to be affected by load shedding
