Our stay at the Nightingale Motel was just what we needed. We got a restful nights sleep and enjoyed the telivision that already had netflix waiting to go. A nice coffee shop is a 2 minute walk away and taproom 4 minutes walk away. The kitchenette was perfect for making a meal in one of our nights we stayed. Highly recommend this motel if you're looking into staying in Pagosa!

It was a nice clean small room.

We received Suite #1 with a maximum occupancy of 6 people (5 purple booked) . The fold out couch was more like a homemade futon; uneven, rigid, non functional and too small for a 15 year old boy. The futon/fold out couch wasn\'t level so there were 2 different planes that you had to support yourself over with various pillows. Nightingale decided to provide 4 towels for 5 people. We did not have towels for even one shower each, let alone two showers each amongst the 5 of us. A) The 1st confirmation email said the"pseudo front desk" delivers towels, pillows etc., when clients text or call a staff member 24/7. See attached photo. B) This is contradictory to our experience. The phone call and text I placed today, 01.01.23, yielded no response from the "front desk. " There was no timely response to my 1am request for towels. This was out of the question for Nightingale. I received a text response from Nightingale 7 hours after I requested 5 towels. At 8am, Nightingale offered to bring towels. There is no 24 hour from desk. Is it me or are businesses looking for every way to save a dollar these days? Where did the value of a dollar go? The floor was dirty and I cut the sole of my foot on broken glass the day prior to snowboarding. I bled considerably and Nightingale is refusing to acknowledge the photos of my bloody foot and bloody floor.

We will definitely stay here again. The bed was so comfortable! The refurbished motel is very well done! The room was small since it is an older motel, but was incredibly clean and cozy. It is walking distance to cafes, restaurants and bars. You must check out the Neon Mallard at the front of the property!

This is a terrific little motel that has been recently renovated. It is very clean and well thought through. Although there is no office, staff do respond to questions via text. Easy parking, great shower. Would recommend.

Small. If you’re a large person, have a lot of luggage, or need a quiet room, don’t stay here. We had a queen room, king room was sold out, and it was hard to get around with our suitcases. The walls were paper thin and you could hear the neighbors sneeze, cough, and talk. It was ok for us but would not call this a 9. It was a 7 at best but what is expected for a road side motel. We liked the location, the bar on site, and Kits Cantina next door (highly recommend, a literal walk across the parking lot). It was clean. Worth a 120 dollars, not 170.

Not for business travelers. I was in unit closest to Hwy 160 (~75 ft) so had traffic noise. Room was nice but nowhere to work. Just a bed and bench. Small tabletop placed on fridge but not workable space. Wifi in this unit was super poor & there’s poor cell service to hotspot. Cute small room for travelers but don’t stay here if you’re looking to work. There are very few places, if any, to work nearby too. Kips Grill next door is fantastic for dining. Are lunch & dinner there.

The air conditioner was extremely noisy, preventing restful sleep. There was a noise machine sitting next to AC, so feel like they are aware of the problem. Also Netflix was promised on the written info but was not available. Internet was so slow it was impossible to watch TV. There is not a real coffee maker in the room. There were only 2 coffee filters in the room to use with this drip system. No Kleenex in room.

Room was clean with lovely little extras to make it nice (coffee, pot, and real cups). Our room did not look like most of the pics online that you see with warm wood paneling. Our room was stark white and very very small. We booked a Q bed for $286. We couldn’t open the bathroom door the whole way because the door hit the toilet!! There was a yellow blinking light on some white box attached to the wall that kept us kind of awake all night. I passed this info on to the very lovely host.(she was very lovely - I’m not being snarky!) She said the light was for deaf patrons and should have been off. (We didn’t realize it until too late to call). Regarding the very different look of the room from what we were expecting she said we should book the larger rooms. For the price, the reviews and ratings, and pics- we were disappointed. Certainly would keep all this in mind in future booking here.

The room was cute but the internet was terrible and the tv wouldn’t connect so it didn’t work. The bedspread was a little dirty as well. Would not stay again.

We were in room 11 and the heating unit didn’t work correctly - think the thermostat didn’t work. Set the temp to 61 and the room was super hot.

Overall, our stay here was good The check in process was easy. We stayed in a queen room which was super tiny. Not a huge deal since we were out and about a lot but I definitely wouldn’t have wanted to be there more than a few days. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk to down. Kips is right next door and a great spot for food. I think they could make it a little more comfortable by adding some more hooks and things to help keep your room organized. I also think they should add microwaves to the room. Lastly, would have been nice to have either thicker blankets on the beds during the winter or had extra blankets in the room. I’m sure I could have asked for some but… who wants to do that hah. I had one in my car I used. I would stay here again though, good little spot. The Neon Mallard is an absolutely awesome bar definitely check that out even if you don’t stay here.

Self check in was easy. Our room looked like the photos but was super small. The ac unit was very loud and not consistent. The lighting was awful, it was so dark even w every light on and shades open. The bed/bedding was comfortable. The bathroom was tiny, not enough towels, tiny sink not enough space to get ready, terrible water pressure and toiletries. The Neon Mallard was only open 4pm-8pm. It was within walking distance to everything. We stayed 2 nights, but this place is good for 1 night but no longer.

The room was small, but lovely. Our room was close to the street, but not too noisy. A thicker curtain on the street side would help block out the early sun light.

The hotel was nice. Communication with management was spotty. A week out we asked for a one hour late checkout as we were scheduled to raft in the morning and wanted to return to change clothes. I did not receive a response. A few days out I emailed and texted again. I was told to ask again on the day I checked in. I did as requested and was provided the hour. Upon return to our room before the actual checkout time, our room was being cleaned. I’ll assume management didn’t tell housekeeping about the approved late checkout.

The lack of a front desk means that if you have any issues/concerns during your stay you are inconvenienced more than other places. I had a disgusting body towel, which I found out about later in the evening, and was unable to get a replacement. The bed was soft and lumpy, and the ac unit didn't work to cool, only heat.

Never made it there. Car broke down. Emailed unattended mailboxes. Couldn’t call anyone. They did send a message asking how my stay was after u sent numerous messages I would not make it.

We got texts but it looked like an ai bot that didn't really answer our questions instead of actually help and we never could check in because we couldn't get under the entrance which is only 6' high. Will revise this rating of some kind of remedy with

I needed help with my reservation & the manager was kind & helpful. We loved our cabin suite at The Nightingale and look forward to staying there again

Upon arriving, the wifi, which I needed for business reasons, did not have a published password online and had been omitted from the room by housekeeping. I never got a response by text, and the affiliated bar had no idea. Because there was no response, I do not know if they received my communication about a plugged bathroom sink. On the plus side, while the room is dark, it has been meticulously painted and tiled. Furnishings are adequate and nice, but a microwave would be a welcome addition. Don't go unless you plan to be self-sufficient in the case of a problem.

Nice property with a bat and restaurant on site. Short walk to shops, restaurants, hot springs and river float trips. The only complaint is the street work being done, and is expected to take two years to complete.

Had a great stay. Walkable to everything. Loved the vintage bar.

Charming place to stay in downtown Pagosa Springs. We were able to walk to the San Jaun River Walk.

Great location. Walkable to restaurants. No breakfast here but there is a kitchenette. Walkable to downtown river, park, coffee shops etc. Very clean. Parked spot for each room. Would stay again.

Great room, great location

This is a lovely, unique motel conveniently located by a number of restaurants and shops. The customer service is excellent, and the rooms are immaculate and well-appointed. The most memorable part of the stay is our evenning at the Neon Mallard, the craft cocktail bar located in the motel. The bartended, Michael, is an outstanding host and mixologist, and clearly takes pride and ownership in the striking and unique vibe here. Stopping by for a cocktail, nosh, great music and company is a must if you visit Pagosa Springs.

The motel is located in a great spot in the town. I really enjoyed the small town feel that it has. It has a huge bonus located just next door and that was Kip’s Grill which had some amazing tacos and cheese dip. The check in is super simple and although staff is not on property, they do make sure to establish contact with you if you need them. I will definitely be back for another stay.
