The Ocean Avenue Inn was just what I needed for this trip. Give us a place to stay it gave us a place to sleep before an early morning fishing trip yesterday.

Run!!! The motel is awful. Room had fleas. Old building, rundown, dirty. Had to leave. The owner needs to bomb the place and rebuild. The hostess was amazing. She tried her best to make us happy.

We were told our check in time was 3 PM. We arrived promptly at 3, and the office staff informed us our room wasn’t clean yet. There was a fish tank in the office that looked like a hazard for the fish inside it was so dirty. The lady that gave us our key was walking around in the office barefoot, which was concerning. When we finally went to our room, we were concerned by how run down the space looked. Cleaning supplies were left inside of our room. It was advertised as a queen bed, but it was a full sized bed instead. The room smelled horribly of mildew, and the TV wouldn’t turn on. There was an exposed water heater only covered by a curtain. Overall, we felt really uncomfortable staying here and would advise other people to find a different place for your stay.
