The place is beautiful, very clean and cozy and the outside garden is amazing. This house has character. The host was very nice and the breakfasts were very good ad healthy. The bathroom needed a little bit of repairs but nothing major just the towel holder that fell while inn the shower. The place is beautiful and we will definitely go back if we are in the area. The price was good and the the beach, the provincial park and the boat to embark for Pelee Island was a minute drive. We absolutely loved our stay. Thank you for the wonderful stay and we must say Leamington is an absolutely beautiful little place.

Excellent location close to the Ontario Wine country. This beautifully kept 1920's home was cozy and comfortable. The owners, Dominique and Paul were excellent hosts. We felt like old friends. The house has a wonderful back yard with a great patio kitchen complete with a brick oven and a fireplace. Walk to the downtown area is only a couple of blocks up Erie Ave and the lake shore is a casual 1&1/2 mile stroll down Erie ave. The roomrates are to our surprise, VERY reasonable. Continental breakfast is available. Homey atmosphere and charm are plentiful.

Great place to hang your hat if you have things to do in the area. Very clean, friendly owners, easy going. You share bathrooms with other guests, but that's not a big deal (there are two well appointed very clean bathrooms) and that concession makes the stay very affordable. A much nicer experience than staying in just about any lower priced hotel. Will stay there again!

Our stay at Nicklin House was very pleasant. I was initially concerned about the check-in process, but it turned out to be incredibly easy. We were given a code to access the house and could arrive anytime after 3 p.m., which was very convenient. It was a lovely surprise when I entered the room. There were clean towels, two bathrobes, tissues, earplugs, a moist wipe, slippers, a cute bar of soap, and bottles of water waiting for us. They even provided a picnic bag with glasses, plates, and cutlery, as well as a beach bag with a towel and a mat for the sand. It’s all about the small details that make the experience feel extra special. Having the code to enter the house was a great feature—it didn’t matter what time I returned, which gave me a lot of flexibility. Breakfast was delicious and satisfying: freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, coffee, toast, and jelly. The location is perfect—right next to the main street in Leamington and just three blocks from a restaurant I really enjoyed (Taqueria Ajua). Dominique and Paul are great hosts, as one would expect from people with years of experience in the hospitality industry. Staying with them is reminiscent of visiting a distant relative. They are attentive, polite and helpful without being intrusive. Guests will appreciate the small things, such as the deluxe soap, abundant towels, complimentary bottled water, well decorated rooms and pride that their century home exudes. And, to top it off, they have a select menu of thoughtfully prepared food available. I was quite pleased with the Portuguese-style breakfast and fantastic espresso provided for a reasonable sum. Leamington also offers an atmospheric downtown (I did visit on a Friday night) as well as a beach and waterfront park well worth exploring. Whether you are passing through or using it as a base to explore the region, this is an excellent choice.

We truly enjoyed our stay. Although it was only for one night, the experience was wonderful. The space was cozy, comfortable, and surrounded by beautiful, tranquil outdoor scenery — the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee and conversation. The host was welcoming, approachable, and genuinely interested in connecting with us. He even made coffee for both my wife and me, preparing her a beautiful cappuccino, which was such a thoughtful touch. The amenities exceeded our expectations. They provided many extras, such as earplugs (though we didn’t need them, they could be useful), toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, bathrobes, large towels, and washcloths. We truly didn’t need to bring much at all. The bed was very comfortable, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the room itself was charming. We also enjoyed the game room and coffee bar upstairs, which gave the place a “home away from home” feel. Overall, it was a delightful stay, and we wouldn’t change a thing. Highly recommended!

I liked its location but hated that the floor squeaks loudly in almost every area of the house. There was also only 1 bathroom to be shared with 4 strangers. I hated the silk sheets and the humid room. I wish I could have gotten a refund.

Lovely place in historic home with homey vibes! Near point pelee which was the big draw for me! Clean and safe and great breakfast, comfy beds, all the basics you could need with lots of cute touches in decor etc. Lots of good Mexican food throughout Leamington nearby so enjoyed checking that out. This is a really beautiful part of the province and a special place for seeing monarch butterfly migrations as they begin their journey south.

We had such a great stay at The Nicklin House! It’s a charming place with tons of character, super clean and well looked after. The hosts were so kind and welcoming, parking was easy, and breakfast was really tasty. Highly recommend if you're visiting Point Pelee National Park—that’s what we came for, and it was the perfect home base!

Paul is very gentle and he served us a breakfast made with great care. You can see the diligent attention in the details of the installation - in the room, in the bathroom and breakfast area. Even though our room was downstairs, we could notice his caution not to make noise to us when we walked upstairs. We will definitely come back if visiting the region again. ;)

We were first greeted by the owners dogs that would not stop barking and stunk. Then we were kicked out at 10:45 am when our booking clearly stated noon to be the check-out time. They claimed 11 am was the check out time. The owner claimed this as he opened our door after hardly knocking. This led him to seeing us (his guests) not fuĺly clothed. Terrible experience staying here.

We had such a great stay at The Nicklin House! It’s a charming place with tons of character, super clean and well looked after. The hosts were so kind and welcoming, parking was easy, and breakfast was really tasty. Highly recommend if you're visiting Point Pelee National Park—that’s what we came for, and it was the perfect home base!

We truly enjoyed our stay. Although it was only for one night, the experience was wonderful. The space was cozy, comfortable, and surrounded by beautiful, tranquil outdoor scenery — the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee and conversation. The host was welcoming, approachable, and genuinely interested in connecting with us. He even made coffee for both my wife and me, preparing her a beautiful cappuccino, which was such a thoughtful touch. The amenities exceeded our expectations. They provided many extras, such as earplugs (though we didn’t need them, they could be useful), toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, bathrobes, large towels, and washcloths. We truly didn’t need to bring much at all. The bed was very comfortable, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the room itself was charming. We also enjoyed the game room and coffee bar upstairs, which gave the place a “home away from home” feel. Overall, it was a delightful stay, and we wouldn’t change a thing. Highly recommended!

The house was cute and easy to access. Simple self check in. Our only complaint was that the room doors had vintage key locks. Well our key stopped working and we were locked INSIDE our room for over a half hour. Tried calling the host but they didn’t answer. It was 11:30pm. Thankfully after yelling for help another guest heard and unlocked our door with their key! So all guest can access each others room.

Lovely place in historic home with homey vibes! Near point pelee which was the big draw for me! Clean and safe and great breakfast, comfy beds, all the basics you could need with lots of cute touches in decor etc. Lots of good Mexican food throughout Leamington nearby so enjoyed checking that out. This is a really beautiful part of the province and a special place for seeing monarch butterfly migrations as they begin their journey south.

Excellent location for restaurants, shopping, and a leisure stroll. The host was superb who was very accommodating and provided everything we needed. The house was located on the main street but the room was quiet. The host even provided ear plugs, which we did not need, for those who are super sensitive to the street noise. Thank you Paul.

Excellent location close to the Ontario Wine country. This beautifully kept 1920's home was cozy and comfortable. The owners, Dominique and Paul were excellent hosts. We felt like old friends. The house has a wonderful back yard with a great patio kitchen complete with a brick oven and a fireplace. Walk to the downtown area is only a couple of blocks up Erie Ave and the lake shore is a casual 1&1/2 mile stroll down Erie ave. The roomrates are to our surprise, VERY reasonable. Continental breakfast is available. Homey atmosphere and charm are plentiful.

We stayed at Nicklin House for two nights and all I can say is all good things. The place is clean feels like your home with all amenities and consumables are within reach and available. Paul the owner is very nice and always checking what need. Even he look after our dog when we are having breakfast. The Breakfast is fantastic and is really good. The property is well preserve with historic character. We will definitely if given a chance to be the area again.

Dominique and Paul are great hosts, as one would expect from people with years of experience in the hospitality industry. Staying with them is reminiscent of visiting a distant relative. They are attentive, polite and helpful without being intrusive. Guests will appreciate the small things, such as the deluxe soap, abundant towels, complimentary bottled water, well decorated rooms and pride that their century home exudes. And, to top it off, they have a select menu of thoughtfully prepared food available. I was quite pleased with the Portuguese-style breakfast and fantastic espresso provided for a reasonable sum. Leamington also offers an atmospheric downtown (I did visit on a Friday night) as well as a beach and waterfront park well worth exploring. Whether you are passing through or using it as a base to explore the region, this is an excellent choice.

Some people complained about street noise but I could barely hear it, if at all. The house and grounds are nice and once there, you can walk to many restaurants and a few gas stations. Everything you need is there and Paul is an excellent and responsive host. I felt welcome and safe as a solo female traveler.

Room was small and only had ceiling light. No bedside lamps. Bed could be better. Location was good for us to get to park or over to Kingsville. Had use of full size fridge which was very helpful. Shared bathroom which did not pose any problems for us. Parking on site.
