They were remodeling the lobby area and there was drywall dust everywhere! This was an open area with the breakfast lounge. I had to take my breakfast to my room.as did others. The breakfast was always hot and good, the room was clean. Had we known itthey were re modeling we would have stayed somewhere else.

The hotel is located in the middle of everything! The room was very spacious and inviting. The hotel staff was very friendly. The pool area was very clean. Breakfast was hot and delicious! It’s about three blocks (walking distance) from the beach! There’s an Outback restaurant next door and plenty of shopping nearby. This is my third time staying at this hotel. I would highly recommend!

Wonderful stay!! Clean rooms, excellent location to everything and a short walk to the beach. Staff was friendly and helpful, good breakfast provided and the rooms were refreshed every single day!!!! Pool was great and towels were available for use. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

I feel like the pool area needed lots of attention. The water was very chlorinated. It lookd run down outside the property, even with the new paint job. Lots of trash and weeds...

There was construction going on in the lobby and breakfast room which caused some inconvenience. Also the cable was out for 2 days so for someone staying alone it made for long evenings/

Place needs an upgrade. I paid for two queen beds and got two doubles. Mold and mildew in the bathroom. Good location for food and the beach. Plenty of parking but handicap parking was too far away from entrance.

The rooms were clean and nice- newly updated. The morning breakfast had great choices, too. The location is great for Destin and extremely close to the water. We just wish the hallways, elevator, and parking areas were better taken care of. The elevator had the same big "spill" stain on the floor our entire stay (2 nights). The rugs in common areas were extremely dirty the entire time and the parking lot had trash discarded in it. But like I said, our room was clean, so we let the other stuff go!

We had a wonderful 3-night stay. Room was perfect and housekeeping refreshed the towels, discarded the trash and made the bed every day. That’s not the standard at most hotels anymore! Breakfast was pretty good - decent choices. Pool was nice. Free parking (just wish the lot was bigger). Also, the property doesn’t look like the pictures. They’re in the process of updating/remodeling. It was quiet at night despite that. Shopping and restaurants nearby and beach a few blocks back. I’d stay again.

Our room was outstanding. Very clean, lovely blinds, clean, clean, clean! The lobby was filthy. None of the icemakers worked. The breakfast table was not to the highest level. Fake eggs garbage containers were stacked to the gills in the kitchen where we ate. Our room was outstanding. Maybe I should put that at the beginning. I’ll do that.

This was one of the smaller Holiday Inns I’ve ever stayed at, but it did not disappoint! The facility was clean, the breakfast was great, and our room was very clean! The only complaint I have is the plumbing. The water seems to take forever to go down the drain in the shower, sink, and toilet so that needs to be fixed. We were in town for my birthday getaway. The beach is minutes away. The shopping plazas are all within 10 minutes and countless restaurants in the area.

Great stay. The bed was comfy. Breakfast was outstanding! Rooms were very clean with exception for a small amount of mold in the caulking along the bathtub. The room was cool in temperature but didn’t think it was 65 like we had it set to. Every staff member was very friendly. We will definitely be back.

This property has a motel appearance along with they had duck tape on the ceiling as soon as you walk in . When we got to room 124 on the first floor we checked the room an on the surface appeared ok but during inspection on the beds and sheets we found long hairs under the tucked in covers . From there we removed the hair and tried to go to sleep but the air unit kept making noise so loud it kept waking us up . The bathroom tub was rusty and the shower head needed to be changed . The next morning we awake to my daughter saying is this a bed bug and yes there were two that we found on the top cover of the bed at the bottom . We went to inform the front desk and we’re met with no care or empathy they were only concerned with not loosing our money that they said they had to do an investigation on the bed bugs ? What do you think we brought them with us I’m confused !! Anyway no management called us and expressed concern the whole day we were booked to stay two days and only stayed 1 and had to get on the road and head back home 6 hours on no sleep or proper rest . It was my husbands birthday trip and we normally stay in Pensacola and just drive to Destin but we decided to do something different this time and look what happened . Today my husband called back up there bc this is the next day and no one has reached out to us yet . And miraculously the manager answered . She said they didn’t find anything so I guess we are the only ones to lose something here . Bedbugs in 2025 ?

The staff was kind and helpful. The beds are very comfortable. Walking distance to several eateries and plenty of shopping. Within 5 minutes drive to the Beautiful beaches! Best advice given to me that I can pass on: Do Not park on the sugar sand, or your vehicle could sink and you would need a tow. ALWAYS take out more trash than you brought in! Make it a tradition to pick up some trash while visiting beaches...every little bit counts!

Great location and overall decent stay. Shower handle was broken and didn’t work unless you push it in with all your strength. We let them know and they said it would be fixed at 9am….never done. Toilet flushes very slow and always seems like it going to overflow. Room was missing remote, but they gave us a new one. We also had to go to the front to ask for help with the AC.

Great location to shopping centers and restaurants. Our room was spacious and staff was very friendly. Only minor complaint was the ac couldn’t be turned off and the air was blowing all night. We had told the front office staff but no one came to fix it.

When I arrived, I was told that all king rooms were full, even though I had reserved one over a month in advanced. Also, the hallways look like they haven’t been vacuumed in a very long time. And lastly, the walls are paper thin! We had some very loud neighbors that talked at full voice and we could hear their entire conversation. It woke up my infant and kept us up until about 1am. The only redeeming qualities about this hotel is its proximity to the beach and friendly staff.

This property has a motel appearance along with they had duck tape on the ceiling as soon as you walk in . When we got to room 124 on the first floor we checked the room an on the surface appeared ok but during inspection on the beds and sheets we found long hairs under the tucked in covers . From there we removed the hair and tried to go to sleep but the air unit kept making noise so loud it kept waking us up . The bathroom tub was rusty and the shower head needed to be changed . The next morning we awake to my daughter saying is this a bed bug and yes there were two that we found on the top cover of the bed at the bottom . We went to inform the front desk and we’re met with no care or empathy they were only concerned with not loosing our money that they said they had to do an investigation on the bed bugs ? What do you think we brought them with us I’m confused !! Anyway no management called us and expressed concern the whole day we were booked to stay two days and only stayed 1 and had to get on the road and head back home 6 hours on no sleep or proper rest . It was my husbands birthday trip and we normally stay in Pensacola and just drive to Destin but we decided to do something different this time and look what happened . Today my husband called back up there bc this is the next day and no one has reached out to us yet . And miraculously the manager answered . She said they didn’t find anything so I guess we are the only ones to lose something here . Bedbugs in 2025 ?

Checkout time is 11am. At 9am housekeeping knocked on my door, woke us up (we got in late the night before) and showed off we checked out. This was on top of the roof repair that started at 8am... We were on the top floor so we heard all the noise of hammers and equipment.

The hotel is located in the middle of everything! The room was very spacious and inviting. The hotel staff was very friendly. The pool area was very clean. Breakfast was hot and delicious! It’s about three blocks (walking distance) from the beach! There’s an Outback restaurant next door and plenty of shopping nearby. This is my third time staying at this hotel. I would highly recommend!

I have stayed at this place 4 times in the last 2 years and have always had a great experience. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating- for example, we got in town early and they let us keep our luggage in a safe place until check in which allowed us to hit the beach, same way with check out they allowed us to leave our stuff until our flight home.

This was one of the smaller Holiday Inns I’ve ever stayed at, but it did not disappoint! The facility was clean, the breakfast was great, and our room was very clean! The only complaint I have is the plumbing. The water seems to take forever to go down the drain in the shower, sink, and toilet so that needs to be fixed. We were in town for my birthday getaway. The beach is minutes away. The shopping plazas are all within 10 minutes and countless restaurants in the area.

I booked this stay last minute and was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable the hotel was and the location. I took advantage of the dining opportunities that were close by. I was also pleased with the close proximity (5-10 min walk) to a beach access. I would definitely stay here again.

This is the 4th time I have stayed at this facility, and it gets better every time. Close to the beach and restaurants, all walkable. Very clean and does an amazing free breakfast every morning.

Great stay. The bed was comfy. Breakfast was outstanding! Rooms were very clean with exception for a small amount of mold in the caulking along the bathtub. The room was cool in temperature but didn’t think it was 65 like we had it set to. Every staff member was very friendly. We will definitely be back.

Comfortable beds & clean room. Housekeeping cart left in main hallway 24/7. This was also around the corner from the front desk & next to the breakfast area. Difficult to handle luggage going in & out of hotel. This is also where 3 to 4 staff would congregate & block hallway. Food service staff grumbled to herself the entire time while working & glared at patrons. Very odd! Dining area & tables were not cleaned during breakfast. Only at the end of service time. We stayed an additional night & paid the hotel directly. My credit card was charged for an additional night the following day after leaving 2 hours before checkout. We have contacted the hotel directly for correction. They claim to not see an additional charge. We will refute the charge with our credit card. Only book & pay through Hotels.com app from now on.

Staff absent when keys would not work. Housekeeper had to let us in our room. No one at the front desk in the middle of the day. Hotel just tired and not very clean. Garbage located in the entry way. No housekeeping-had to get additional towels on our own. Only thing that was great was the location. Half way between Destin Commons and the beach.

Don’t knock this hotel until you try it!! I’m from the Midwest and Holiday Inn where I’m from usually isn’t somewhere you’d want to stay very long if I’m being 100% honest. BUT, this location we took a chance on because of the reviews and the photos they provided and it was the best decision of our whole trip! We stayed for a week at this hotel and we both were very pleasantly surprised with the overall cleanliness of the hotel. The staff were out cleaning rooms every day and you can tell they work very hard and do a great job. The main thing that I always am weary of are the beds and floors. So coming here I knew it was the first thing I wanted to check. First walking in, the outside was very clean, the building itself looked to be in good condition, and the front desk staff lady was very kind and helped us with passion and patience. So we get to our room and on the way there I couldn’t help but notice how clean everything was. Floor was clean, walls were clean, even the light fixtures and windows looked great. Needless to say, the bed was great! There were about 4 layers of protective coverings, which I loved, and then the sheets were on top of that. No stains, no bugs and no smells anywhere throughout the whole hotel!! And not to mention we walked less than 10 minutes to the beach! This place is such a hidden gem!! The only negative I experienced were the kids… a lot of them! They were very loud and disruptive, but if you can tune that out then this is the place for you!

If you like Motel 6 you'll love this place. This place is not well kept both inside and out. If you're okay with that then this is your place. Small details like my faucet not screwed down and the toilet connections not connected to the wall. No ice machines working. I could go on but it would just be complaining. Smokers all sit at the front door to greet you. We were just passing through Destin and wanted to stop and see the area. It's a beautiful area. When I come to stay long term it won't be here.
