Athens 1890 Hotel & Spa

The staff was very friendly, helpful, and responsive. The air conditioning worked great, we just needed a lesson on how to turn it on and the staff was very quick to explain it to us. Room was clean The hot tub worked and felt great to get into after walking the city all day Did not go to spa. Over all I enjoyed the hotel and would recommend it to someone wanting to stay in the middle of everything

Tres bel hôtel, très confortable, idéalement situé au milieu du centre historique et proche de la gare. Le personnel est au petits soins, excellent accueil. Petit déjeuner délicieux. Seul bémol, la piscine n’est accessible qu’avec la réservation d’un soin au SPA.

First some positives - staff were incredibly helpful and polite, amenities such as mini bar and robes were lovely, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is in a very central location, easy to walk to any of the sites and easy to get to by public transport. Hotel is very hard to find, it was pure luck that the concierge was outside smoking and asked us if we were looking for the hotel. The bathroom was not very well laid out at all. The shower tray filled with water and overflowed within a minute of the shower being on - there was a drain in the bathroom so unsure if this was by design? If so it was still poorly designed as the floor slopes down towards the door, so as well as flooding the bathroom it also floods the hallway. The room we had was advertised as having a hot tub, a more accurate term would be “out door bathtub, with jets”. It is only suitable in size for one person, and is overlooked by multiple windows.

Meget venlig personle. Værrelset var overordnet i fin stand. Men værrelset var inclusiv Hut-tub på terressen, der ikke kunne blive varm, Hvilket hotellet bruget flere dage på få løst, uden held.

First of all it was an amazing location. Small walk to all of Athens best locations. The room was great. Loved the bathroom and the jacuzzi was fantastic and worked well which is rarely the case. It could be a little more private but we used it just fine. The spa was wonderful with very welcoming staff. At first we were a little disappointed we had to pay extra for the spa but actually it was a wonderful experience / facilities and we ended up going back. The staff were very friendly / helpful and allowed us a late check out to use the spa and also held our bags until we left for the airport. Overall a wonderful experience and highly recommended.
