My friend and I had an overnight stay at Blue Bear Inn after hiking Mt Monadnock. We stepped in and were welcomed by the owner, Carrie, and the bartender, Brian right away. Check in was a breeze. We had a room with a shared bathroom which was perfect and cute. Carrie made sure we knew we had a shared bath because some guests had been surprised by it. The room was cute and perfect for us. The property and the grounds are so quaint and beautiful. The owners are new to the property and they made our stay so lovely. It was great talking to them and meeting their dog Baloo. The whole staff were really lovely. We had the pleasure of eating dinner at the Inn and it was exactly what we wanted after a full day of hiking. Brian made wicked good martinis and the every crumb of food disappeared. We both look forward to staying at Blue Bear Inn again.

The Blue Bear Inn is a beautiful and well-maintained in located in a gorgeous area. Dinner at the Winslow Tavern was amazing and the service was excellent. The live music was a wonderful surprise. The view from our room was lovely. The one down side is that I don’t remember the listing mentioning shared bathrooms. It wasn’t an issue at the room that shared the half bathroom with our room was unoccupied, but it could be an issue (especially if you’re noise-sensitive because the door stuck and the bathroom fan was loud). The full bathroom was on a different level than our room.

We loved our stay at Blue Bear from a wonderful dinner in front of the fireplace to walks around the property to a very cheery tavern. The owners are so kind and bend over backwards to provide you with a tremendous stay. We were charmed and really had a relaxing 3 days/nights.

Really nice pool, cute little bar and restaurant , live music on weekend was a plus. Coffee bar and continental breakfast was very good. Our room shared a bathroom and shower The shower was ok to share but we would opt for a room that had private bathroom in the future Management was very accommodating.Great mountain veiws

Views of the mountains spectacular, imagine if it wasn’t overcast. Friendly warm country inn. They have a tavern that serves pub food and has entertainment Thursday-Saturday.

A wonderful place with everything you could need. Fabulous restaurant with a talented chef. Grounds are gorgeous, and s swimming pool! Owner is friendly, vivacious and truly interested in all her guests. Already planning a family reunion for next year.

What an amazing place! The rooms and inn are charming, clean, and comfortable. The property is beautiful. The restaurant is outstanding with delicious food. But what stood out the most was the staff for both the restaurant and the inn. We checked in at about 7pm and the woman who helped us was personable, funny, warm and welcoming. We really felt like our needs were a priority. Our server was amazing and knowledgeable and the service itself was impeccable. We will be making this trip a yearly tradition. Thank you to everyone at The Blue Bear for an incredible experience!

What a great experience. Without a doubt one of the most memorable experiences I’ve had in a hotel. Then again, feels awkward referring to the Blue Bear Inn as hotel. Felt like home. The rooms are beautiful and all distinct. It was quiet, relaxing, the bed was comfy. I can’t wait to go back. Lorrie and Bruno are phenomenal hosts. I rarely remember hotel names but this one I will never forget. And I’ve been encouraging friends to go there. This place is a must.

Owners Bob and Carrie are great and the inn was charming. The room was nice, the food was good, and the setting was beautiful overlooking the mountains. Next time I'm bringing the family.

This is a great little get away. It’s quiet, peaceful, and serene. The Inn is lovely, warm, and comfortable. It sits surrounded by New Hampshire mountains and the vistas are breath taking. The food is amazing. The owners, Carrie and Bob, are warm and friendly. Brian, the barkeep, is also a lovely individual. There are lots of places to walk and explore. The ski resort is nearby. I will be returning.

Good size room with a private bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Owner was very pleasant and accommodating. She kept our reservation open despite our late arrival. The Blue Bear is a classic New England inn, built in the 1800’s but updated with all the modern conveniences for a very comfortable, relaxing getaway.

What an amazing place! The rooms and inn are charming, clean, and comfortable. The property is beautiful. The restaurant is outstanding with delicious food. But what stood out the most was the staff for both the restaurant and the inn. We checked in at about 7pm and the woman who helped us was personable, funny, warm and welcoming. We really felt like our needs were a priority. Our server was amazing and knowledgeable and the service itself was impeccable. We will be making this trip a yearly tradition. Thank you to everyone at The Blue Bear for an incredible experience!

We loved our stay at Blue Bear from a wonderful dinner in front of the fireplace to walks around the property to a very cheery tavern. The owners are so kind and bend over backwards to provide you with a tremendous stay. We were charmed and really had a relaxing 3 days/nights.

This is a great little get away. It’s quiet, peaceful, and serene. The Inn is lovely, warm, and comfortable. It sits surrounded by New Hampshire mountains and the vistas are breath taking. The food is amazing. The owners, Carrie and Bob, are warm and friendly. Brian, the barkeep, is also a lovely individual. There are lots of places to walk and explore. The ski resort is nearby. I will be returning.

The inn was absolutely amazing. All of the staff were super friendly and the service was outstanding. Location was perfect as it is just down the road from Crotched. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for the perfect ski getaway not too far away from Boston. Will most certainly be coming back!!

I would recommend Blue Bear Inn for a quaint getaway or to use as a wedding venue. The property has beautiful mountain views and is great to getaway from the chaos of the city.

My friend and I had an overnight stay at Blue Bear Inn after hiking Mt Monadnock. We stepped in and were welcomed by the owner, Carrie, and the bartender, Brian right away. Check in was a breeze. We had a room with a shared bathroom which was perfect and cute. Carrie made sure we knew we had a shared bath because some guests had been surprised by it. The room was cute and perfect for us. The property and the grounds are so quaint and beautiful. The owners are new to the property and they made our stay so lovely. It was great talking to them and meeting their dog Baloo. The whole staff were really lovely. We had the pleasure of eating dinner at the Inn and it was exactly what we wanted after a full day of hiking. Brian made wicked good martinis and the every crumb of food disappeared. We both look forward to staying at Blue Bear Inn again.

The Blue Bear Inn is a beautiful and well-maintained in located in a gorgeous area. Dinner at the Winslow Tavern was amazing and the service was excellent. The live music was a wonderful surprise. The view from our room was lovely. The one down side is that I don’t remember the listing mentioning shared bathrooms. It wasn’t an issue at the room that shared the half bathroom with our room was unoccupied, but it could be an issue (especially if you’re noise-sensitive because the door stuck and the bathroom fan was loud). The full bathroom was on a different level than our room.

Really nice pool, cute little bar and restaurant , live music on weekend was a plus. Coffee bar and continental breakfast was very good. Our room shared a bathroom and shower The shower was ok to share but we would opt for a room that had private bathroom in the future Management was very accommodating.Great mountain veiws

All was fantastic! Views, food, stay, etc! We really enjoyed having my Dads 90th there. Melissa handled the food and delivery of it all perfectly! For the room, it was spacious and comfortable, water pressure was good and all was clean.

You could not ask for better care than what you will receive from wife and husband team, Carrie and Bob. They look after your every need. The rooms are cozy, but well thought out. For awhile on Saturday it was just me and the two of them. They made sure I had everything I needed. And I did. The Tavern is exceptional and any visiter to Blue Bear Inn should make sure to have at lease one meal here. The food is really terrific and service is top notch. Brian, the bartender really cares about the drinks he is serving up. We come up to this area to see friends and family a couple times a year and will only stay at the Blue Bear Inn!
