Do-it--yourself hotel (passcode to all areas) Excellent room and shower. Very clean, modern and well laid out. Free continental breakfast a bonus. Central location close to several restaurants.. No parking at accommodation but reasonably priced car park a short stroll away (£1.60 overnight). Do not leave your car outside for long (parking attendant materialises from nowhere).

Very noisy room overlooking a busy street with very loud boy racers tearing past all nite. Takeaway downstairs very noisy til very late also. Parking down road in very unsecure carpark. No reception to complain to so had to call to ask to change rooms but was told no alternatives were available. It is a very clean modern place but location is terrible.no sleep all week. I wouldnt stay again.

Chose this hotel as a base to visit some of the nearby National Trust properties. Check in was a bit cumbersome as when we arrived the reception was shut and we had to call a number to get details of how to access the hotel. Once given the codes and instructions it was fairly easy to get to our room. The room was clean and as described. There is no parking but the West End car park was only 100m away. The continental breakfast was great and a welcome addition. Having booked a room with a kitchenette we took food back to the room. I would certainly book one of the groups hotels again, and this hotel should I ever need to stay in Boston again.

Check in process was horrendous, and I didn’t like the fact there was no physical key and had to input numbers into the keypad, anyone could have heard the numbers if talking amongst yourselves trying to get into the room. Felt very unsafe. Especially then have to use a back entrance that felt down a dodgy street, people chucking their rubbish into the doorway. None of the controllers for the lights to change the colours worked. Didn’t come across any staff to Comment Grouting in the bathroom is filthy; dirty marks up the wall, the windows were awful and also leaked water absolutely everywhere all over new items and gifts. The smell of the room was over done and once it settled it was evident it was to cover up the damp smells. Contacted the hotel to give them chance to rectify before doing a review but they haven’t so will Be speaking to bank about recalllif the money

Clean, cheap, comfortable. Very close to the town centre, so a bit noisy in the evening, but quietened down after midnight. Dawn chorus of really loud gulls, but that can't be helped 😄

Very nice, floors very creaky. Water pressure dropped during shower. The concept is good. Breakfast was very good, something for everyone Maybe need air-conditioning, as keeping windows open was noisy.

Lovely room, and an easy check in process. The area the hotel is located in was a bit run down, but the hotel itself was very smart. Breakfast was tasty, and the self service element was good.

The code system works well. Breakfast system is well operated. Our room was next to an extractor fan for a restaurant and was noisy until the early hours of the morning. There was no way of ventilating the room so it became too warm, even in April.

It's a very nice hotel, clean and well presented, we stayed in a room for a disabled person which was wide enough for her wheelchair and wide doors so overall very pleased. There was one thing in the room that could be improved is to put in a larger sink

A lovely hotel in a very good location. The breakfast was ok, but when items had run out they weren't replaced as there didn't appear to be anyone to replace them or even to ask. The hotel didn't seem to be manned at all. The room was lovely except for the noisy extractor fan from the property opposite which went on all night. Unfortunately, we also were next to someone who at 3am in the morning was swearing and shouting down his phone outside of our door. Not good for trying to sleep!!

No one at reception during our entire 5 day stay. Wasn't sure how breakfast worked. People in the area were rude to my partner. Bathroom was nice and TV had everything we needed except a few data and privacy breeches in that the hotel did not log guest accounts out or clear search history.

The creaking floor above ?? ( corridor/ steps or beds) u could hear in no 3 did keep me awake. I did buy earplugs. No noise traffic problem. Overall the accommodation was very satisfactory in deed for the price. Modern very clean and comfortable. Very near Town centre and Boston stump. A similar stay in premier inn was £100 more. Breakfast good choices. Over a dozen steps to floors so have to be reasonably fit.

Clean, cheap, comfortable. Very close to the town centre, so a bit noisy in the evening, but quietened down after midnight. Dawn chorus of really loud gulls, but that can't be helped 😄

Lovely room, and an easy check in process. The area the hotel is located in was a bit run down, but the hotel itself was very smart. Breakfast was tasty, and the self service element was good.

It’s ok here, for a hotel in a town that has seen better days. A nice big room (8), clean, well maintained with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was more than big enough, with a huge walk in shower. Pity about the spots of dirt and mould in the bottom rear corners. The room even has its own outside sun deck. The big sticking point though is the nearby business that has its kitchen extractor fan screaming away until half past one in the morning. I realise it’s out of the hotels control, but it affected the quality of my sleep, and therefore the overall experience. Still I’ve paid more and stayed in places that don’t come anywhere near the standard of the Stanley.

Very noisy room overlooking a busy street with very loud boy racers tearing past all nite. Takeaway downstairs very noisy til very late also. Parking down road in very unsecure carpark. No reception to complain to so had to call to ask to change rooms but was told no alternatives were available. It is a very clean modern place but location is terrible.no sleep all week. I wouldnt stay again.

The code system works well. Breakfast system is well operated. Our room was next to an extractor fan for a restaurant and was noisy until the early hours of the morning. There was no way of ventilating the room so it became too warm, even in April.

The creaking floor above ?? ( corridor/ steps or beds) u could hear in no 3 did keep me awake. I did buy earplugs. No noise traffic problem. Overall the accommodation was very satisfactory in deed for the price. Modern very clean and comfortable. Very near Town centre and Boston stump. A similar stay in premier inn was £100 more. Breakfast good choices. Over a dozen steps to floors so have to be reasonably fit.

A lovely hotel in a very good location. The breakfast was ok, but when items had run out they weren't replaced as there didn't appear to be anyone to replace them or even to ask. The hotel didn't seem to be manned at all. The room was lovely except for the noisy extractor fan from the property opposite which went on all night. Unfortunately, we also were next to someone who at 3am in the morning was swearing and shouting down his phone outside of our door. Not good for trying to sleep!!

Spotlessly clean, well-equipped and spacious room. Reported a problem with the shower that was attended to immediately. Town centre location was a little noisier than a previous stay in a nearby sister hotel but breakfast facilities here were better

Do-it--yourself hotel (passcode to all areas) Excellent room and shower. Very clean, modern and well laid out. Free continental breakfast a bonus. Central location close to several restaurants.. No parking at accommodation but reasonably priced car park a short stroll away (£1.60 overnight). Do not leave your car outside for long (parking attendant materialises from nowhere).

Chose this hotel as a base to visit some of the nearby National Trust properties. Check in was a bit cumbersome as when we arrived the reception was shut and we had to call a number to get details of how to access the hotel. Once given the codes and instructions it was fairly easy to get to our room. The room was clean and as described. There is no parking but the West End car park was only 100m away. The continental breakfast was great and a welcome addition. Having booked a room with a kitchenette we took food back to the room. I would certainly book one of the groups hotels again, and this hotel should I ever need to stay in Boston again.

This is a challenging review as there aspects that tainted my stay in Boston the were nothing to do with the hotel. As a lone traveller, I guess I felt intimidated by the numerous groups of men in the square. I also had trouble finding a shop selling straightforward non uHT milk. Don’t get me wrong, I’m generally totally for a truly cosmopolitan lifestyle. Just overwhelmed with the amount of apparently single men milling around during the day. Now to the hotel. The general appearance is good. The lack of staff is something Im not used to. I booked a room with an outside space which was great but hadn’t reckoned on the lift not going to the top floor so I really struggled to get my case to my room. Didn’t see any other guests at all. Unfortunately it seems that the other guest on my floor had a cut hand as there was blood all the way up the hand rail which didn’t help with my sense of safety. I rang the help number to explain about the blood and to their credit it was gone when I returned to the hotel. The common areas were stylish and pleasant. My room looked great. In so many ways it was great but one of the shower heads was broken, there was a large area of carpet with stains and I could not get the main lighting to come on. Sadly I also struggled to get comfy to sleep. I really want to like this accommodation but it just wasn’t for me. Better for the younger generation I think. At 63 I guess I’m looking for a little more TLC.

Great value hotel, right in the centre of Boston. Very comfortable room, spotlessly clean and a decent size (even for a single). The self-checkin was very easy. The continental breakfast provided was also great. Parking is available a couple of minutes walk away.

Parking was ok, although the area did not fill us with confidence! Access to the hotel was ok. Room was clean, modern and well presented. Although obviously reasonably new, the entry and stair carpet is quite stained. Hotel not in a great area and traffic noise was excessive until around 1am. Went to breakfast around 8am and met with dirty crockery on the breakfast bar.
