First time I have to do the check in on a phone that was handed by a lovely receptionist. Fill out a form and upload passports. Beautiful building, however there is no elevator and our room was in the third floor. Decor in room and hotel is impeccable, however there was lots of light in the room. And somebody got confused and opened our door at 3:20 am Like a lively B&B only with no breakfast, however it’s the first time we get an aeroccino for a fantastic in room Nespresso Check out is at 11, if you go an hour past that, you will get a 25£ charge

Housed in a beautifully restored historic building, the design is simply stunning — a perfect blend of classic charm and modern comfort. Although there is no elevator (due to the age and preservation of the building), the narrow, spiral staircase is a charming architectural detail. Beautiful decor in an old heritage building. The furnishings are top-notch, and Mandice were very welcoming and nice to interact with. Our room was nicely furnished and comfortable; the air conditioning was excellent. Two small issues were the lack of hot water at the bathroom sink and the broken curtain closing system. The hotel is located in a generally quiet area; however, on Friday night there was a loud drunk man yelling on the sidewalk below our windows at 4 a.m.. The continental breakfast is boxed and delivered to your room in the morning. Also, because it is an old building in a heritage area they are not allowed to fit an elevator.

We had a great couple of nights at this charming boutique hotel before heading out on our cruise. The room was spacious with a fabulous bathroom and comfy bed. The only negative is the fact that there isn’t an elevator. So be sure to request at 1st floor room if that’s and issue. The hotel’s staff was very friendly!

Very nice property, well cared for and nice people. Only downside is there are no stairs to the rooms which are on a narrow staircase. We did fine but others may have difficulty. We really liked this place.

Fantastic stay. What a beautiful hotel. From the staff to the decor, everything was perfect. The room was clean. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was gorgeous. The breakfast was lovely. The smell in the hotel was lovely as well.

I never usually leave reviews but this hotel was impressive. Stunning decor throughout, it smelt beautiful, so clean and the bed was so comfy! When I walked into my room the heating was on so it was lovely and warm! The bathroom was luxury and I’m pretty sure it had heated flooring. I loved the fact there were wine glasses and cutlery in the room too. Coffee machine and milk in the fridge! It really was perfect! The staff were so kind and helpful, nothing was too much trouble! I felt like a princess staying here! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! I didn’t want to leave 😂 I can’t wait to stay again ☺️

I was staying on the main floor room #1 which was just next to the main entrance and also right across the reception area. Every time when guests were coming in or out, the door was slammed and I could hear their conversation. It was throughout the night until almost midnight, and in the morning as early as 5 am when guests were checking out. The room was not big and the bed was close to the window I could hear the conversation between the guests and their pickup drivers. Both myself and my husband couldn’t sleep all night.

Would recommend instructions with the coffee maker--how to use it was not intuitive. Also, for the kettle, there is no easy way in the room to fill it--the bathroom sink is quite shallow. Loved the room but there was no desk area for writing. That said, furnishings were love, bed super-comfortable, and overall appearance exceptional. Behind the Georgian facade is an ultra-modern hotel.

Friendly staff. Great location with easy & safe walking to many restaurants, fast foods, coffee shops, & malls. Hot shower with good water pressure. Quiet rooms, great air conditioning. COMFY BED! Large flat screen tv & windows that opened for fresh air. Definitely worth the stay!

The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and were very helpful. We had difficulties getting a taxi when arriving to the airport but Sofie, from the front desk, made arrangements for us to be picked up.

This "boutique style hotel" is awesome. The staff go way above and beyond. The rooms are exquisite.We stayed here twice to this month, and both times were excellent. The hotel is close to the cruise port.We highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Southampton.

Friendly, genuinely thoughtful and accommodating! Thank you for a lovely experience! Peter made us feel at home and the most gracious morning manager stayed with us outside until our uber arrived! That’s going over and beyond customer service! Will definitely return our stay the next time we’re in Southampton!!!

The location was walkable to everything in the charming town of Southampton. We stayed a couple nights before getting on a cruise ship. I recommend it! The room was very small but the location was very walkable to restaurants and around the block to Notre Dame Cathedral. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly! A+++

The communication from the hotel was great. We booked last fall for our stay this May and out of the blue last fall I received an email from Kylie, she had seen in the news we had a hurricane coming our way and she passed on well wishes for our safety. That set the tone for what was a great place with great hospitality. They arranged transfers for us, the continental breakfast was lovely, and they are expanding, adding a restaurant and bar. Highly recommend these folks, they will take great care of you!

Friendly staff. Great location with easy & safe walking to many restaurants, fast foods, coffee shops, & malls. Hot shower with good water pressure. Quiet rooms, great air conditioning. COMFY BED! Large flat screen tv & windows that opened for fresh air. Definitely worth the stay!

This "boutique style hotel" is awesome. The staff go way above and beyond. The rooms are exquisite.We stayed here twice to this month, and both times were excellent. The hotel is close to the cruise port.We highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Southampton.

The location was walkable to everything in the charming town of Southampton. We stayed a couple nights before getting on a cruise ship. I recommend it! The room was very small but the location was very walkable to restaurants and around the block to Notre Dame Cathedral. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly! A+++

This property is in the historic area of Southampton. So it has aesthetic qualities that are unique and charming! We would recommend this property to everyone but especially those folks coming from a cruise ship at Southampton, then flying out of Southampton airport. Amazing stay, thank you!!

We travel often. This is probably one of the nicest hotels we have experienced. The bathroom was gorgeous and unbelievable. The towel warmer warms the spacious modern bathroom. We felt like we were staying at a spa. Location is great for walking to lunch and dinner. Would definitely stay again, if we come back to Southampton.

Fantastic stay. What a beautiful hotel. From the staff to the decor, everything was perfect. The room was clean. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was gorgeous. The breakfast was lovely. The smell in the hotel was lovely as well.

Room looked good and was comfortable. Great, friendly staff and good cleaning in the room. The continental breakfast served to the room was perhaps not to the same "level" of quality as the rest of the hotel experience. There was some road noise at times, being on the front and potentially due to the single glazing. I'd suggest requesting a room on the back if you are a light sleeper. Overall an enjoyable stay

A fantastic small hotel. Made very welcome on arrival and stored suitcases as we were early. When we returned, the suitcases had been put in our room. The room was lovely and of a very high standard. There was complimentary drinks and snacks and breakfast served in the room in the morning. Would definitely be our number one choice in Southampton.

Everything from Welcoming Staff to room size and decor was excellent. Recommendation for dining was spot on. The room served breakfast was very nice the pastries were terrific. If we ever have the need to be in Southampton again it would be our residence of choice!

Beautiful room! Everything was wonderful. Breakfast delivered to our room at the time we asked. Complimentary mini bar with coffee and snacks as well. Walkable to the town area. Transportation scheduled for us to the port. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Absolutely great boutique hotel. The service was impeccable and the hotel is designed, decorated and maintained to a high standard. There are two items which could have been better: 1. There is no dedicated car park for No 4 Carlton 2. We had an issue with the air conditioning. We believe this is because another room set their unit to “heat” and therefore we couldn’t set our to “cool”. Very small issue but worth considering if you need a (very) cold room to sleep. Breakfast was excellent (we have no issue that you are asked to order and book a time the night before). Curb appeal of the hotel is good, if it located in a nice street within walking distance of nice restaurants and shops. However our standout memory of this hotel is the service: staff were friendly, polite and highly engaged. If not for the two issues above we would give 5*
