Check in was great! After long drive from Dallas had an Ole fashion and “The Blue drink” that was amazing in the Secret Room downstairs. Then went up to Top Floor and watched baseball game. Really cool spot in Amarillo of all places. Rooms are large and super clean.

Very cool hotel, pet friendly, great food, our dog Thor was welcomed to all the areas of the hotel (understandably not the Restaurant) but the downstairs hidden Speakeasy was a highlight for us and Thor! Definitely will stay again!

It's a nice property with nice rooms and staff, but there are a couple of policies that don't make sense (Management please take note) (1) Valet parking is the only option, and valet was overwhelmed when we arrived and there was nowhere to park the car, had to drive around the block several times until it lightened up. (2) The room service menu is limited to 3 main plates and a few appetizers. This makes no sense because there is a steakhouse open downstairs with a full menu. I wanted steak, but eat Chicken Alfredo instead because I wanted to eat in my room and watch a movie.

The hotel is beautiful and very clean throughout with many unique touches. The staff were all friendly, professional and well trained. The food at their restaurant for dinner and breakfast was delicious and beautifully plated! The Speakeasy bar is unique with great service and a fun way to gain entry from the prohibition days. We stayed at the Barfield for our anniversary, which my husband told them when making dinner reservations. The staff put a floral arrangement at our table with a happy anniversary card from the staff. Several of the staff wished us a happy anniversary. Alexis, our server, was amazing and made our experience that much better with her attention to detail and kindness. Highly recommend the Barfield Hotel and Toscana Italian Steakhouse restaurant. It is an experience everyone should have many times!

Everything about The Barfield was top-notch. The service, the rooms, the restaurant and bar downstairs, and the valet parking. While it's on the more expensive side, you get what you pay for here. Fantastic experience! And check out Shi Lee's BBQ & Soul Food just a 1/2 mile from the hotel. Amazing soul food!

No parking, other than street. Staff was not friendly. Room not clean, literally one Kleenex left in box and no shampoo. The room was noisy from both hall and street noise. VERY disappointed for the price we paid.

Really nice stay in Amarillo - my only complaints are that our trash can in the room was not emptied upon arrival and it was EXTREMELY noisy all night. To be fair, it was a saturday night. Otherwise, nice property.

I was really happy with this hotel as I was stopping through Amarillo. The staff at check in and in the cafe were very nice, the room was very clean and spacious, and I enjoyed the gym facilities. Everyone there from the cleaning ladies to the valet were so nice. I highly recommend!

Very nice hotel but the room we were placed in was not clean. There was rice between the seat cushions on one of the chairs and I found a contact lens on the floor near the bathroom. Bedside table had something spilled that was never cleaned as well. Really disappointing for that price. The hotel was beautiful and nostalgic.

We stayed at The Barfield for the first time this past Sunday night to break up our drive from Dallas to Angel Fire, NM and really enjoyed the comfort and style of this beautiful hotel. All of the staff we encountered were wonderful and the room is very modern and comfortable. We enjoyed it so much that we are considering staying there on our way back.

Such a perfectly restored boutique hotel. We love the thoughtful decor of this little gem. Service and food were excellent, and everything was spotless. The only complaint I have was that there was quite a bit of noise around our room that went on late into the night. Not sure if it was guests or hotel staff, but I ended up turning up the volume of the tv to drown it out.

This hotel is SO beautiful. They took an old building from the 20’s and restored it to its original beauty. There is so much history to this building and how it is connected to the founding of Amarillo. The rooms are so big and spacious. It has the feel of a 5 star hotel. If you come to Amarillo definitely stay at this beautiful hotel. You will not be disappointed!

My whole family loved our stay. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, the lobby was busy but comfortable, the accommodations were terrific. The only opportunity was the outside noise, we stayed in 6th floor and we heard the cars, the ambulances, the trains and the pedestrians. Would definitely still recomend.

The Barfield is a top notch boutique hotel in the downtown area of Amarillo. Great staff to start with and the rooms were well appointed with great care in layout, furniture design, and all the amenities one would wish for. Beds were super comfy as well! Will be back next time we come thru town.

Hotel is beautiful- the rooms, the lobby. Tried to order room service one morning for breakfast and there was no answer so after I waited and waited just decided to just go down to restaurant to eat but service was quite slow. First time visiting Amarillo and I expected more life around town. The historic district was dead and grimy and a lot of the town is abandoned buildings. The Palo Duro canyon was amazing which is why we traveled to Amarillo so if you want to stay in a beautiful hotel 30 minutes from the canyon, this is it.

The hotel was nice the staff wasnt all that great as well i was randomly charged 611 dollars which to this date is still pending but i was told by 2 managers that it would drop off. Either way wasnt a bad hotel would i go back prob not.

Valet lost my car keys. Had to wait 1 hour to find them. Car was left unlocked all night. Will never stay there again.

Really nice stay in Amarillo - my only complaints are that our trash can in the room was not emptied upon arrival and it was EXTREMELY noisy all night. To be fair, it was a saturday night. Otherwise, nice property.

My whole family loved our stay. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, the lobby was busy but comfortable, the accommodations were terrific. The only opportunity was the outside noise, we stayed in 6th floor and we heard the cars, the ambulances, the trains and the pedestrians. Would definitely still recomend.

The hotel was very nice. Beautiful combination of historic and modern luxury. My only issue was the noice from a nearby club. Had to use earplugs.

This place is great! Very clean and spacious. We had breakfast at the restaurant the food was excellent. I would highly recommend this place. We also went to the speakeasy it was a little crowded and not much privacy but overall experience was great.

We loved this hotel! The room was lovely and the Speakeasy was great! The food was fantastic and our waitress, Jessica was more than helpful and very friendly.

It's a nice property with nice rooms and staff, but there are a couple of policies that don't make sense (Management please take note) (1) Valet parking is the only option, and valet was overwhelmed when we arrived and there was nowhere to park the car, had to drive around the block several times until it lightened up. (2) The room service menu is limited to 3 main plates and a few appetizers. This makes no sense because there is a steakhouse open downstairs with a full menu. I wanted steak, but eat Chicken Alfredo instead because I wanted to eat in my room and watch a movie.

The hotel is beautiful and very clean throughout with many unique touches. The staff were all friendly, professional and well trained. The food at their restaurant for dinner and breakfast was delicious and beautifully plated! The Speakeasy bar is unique with great service and a fun way to gain entry from the prohibition days. We stayed at the Barfield for our anniversary, which my husband told them when making dinner reservations. The staff put a floral arrangement at our table with a happy anniversary card from the staff. Several of the staff wished us a happy anniversary. Alexis, our server, was amazing and made our experience that much better with her attention to detail and kindness. Highly recommend the Barfield Hotel and Toscana Italian Steakhouse restaurant. It is an experience everyone should have many times!

Absolutely THE best place in Amarillo. The hotel is beautiful but the staff makes the entire experience. Great bar with great food. The Speak Easy was really fun.

The Valet who welcomed us to the hotel was awesome! Very helpful and friendly. We saw him the next day as we were checking out and he remembered our name and was again, friendly and helpful. The employee who checked us in, however, was another story. She gave us a 2nd floor room by a maintenance/staff room/closet which was very noisy. She seemed annoyed with us because we had booked the room through a 3rd party (Hotels.com) and we felt that was why we received a less than desirable room with the hotel not being very busy. I would have asked for a different room but we were hungry and tired after an 8 hour drive. The hotel is beautiful and most of the staff we came in contact with were friendly and professional. The front desk staff was the only employee who was disappointing.

We actually really liked the hotel. Very nice rooms and very friendly. But we had one issue, we were charged something from the steakhouse that was not ours, and it took 5+ days to fix. We also had to call multiple times to get the charge removed. This should not happen, ever. If we stay at the hotel again, we will look at our bill before we leave vs just looking at it in the email.
