Motel 6-Somers Point, NJ - Ocean City - Wild Wood Beach

I’m in a band and we played across the street from here for NYE….The rooms were bare bones no coffee maker no towels no hair dryer, the rooms were freezing, dirty in all aspects stains on the bedding we left at 12:30 in the morning and went home. It also had a bad smell throughout the hotel! No elevator so if you have a lot of stuff ask to stay on the first floor won’t be coming back

It started off with check in being slow as i stood in hot "lobby" waiting for someone. I was checked in and given a room key. At first glance the room looked okay besides the AC being off and the room being over 85°F. The refrigerator was the exact same way, super warm. Both took over 24 hours to cool down. The beds werent comfortable and the pillows were VERY thin. The first night there was a large dog barking and a man yelling and slamming doors. The second night was much quieter thankfully. The hotel staff entered our room every day we were out and changed our trashbags and folded the towels again. I had asked for 2 more towels since there are 4 of us and came back to only having 2 in the room after being on the beach all day. There was dust covering EVERYTHING and no coffee in the "lobby". Only place there is a microwave is in the "lobby" and i didnt care to try it. If youre looking for a cheap no frills bare minimum place, this is it.

Paid $406 for a Friday night in the summer. Very basic accommodations. Fire alarm went off at 4:20 a.m which blew it for us for a good night’s sleep. Will look for someplace else the next time. Somers Point is a great little town, though. Look forward to going back.

The property labels itself pet friendly but you cannot leave your dogs in the room alone not even in a dog crate so my weekend was very limited couldn’t go out to eat and even had to take them to the casino with me in Atlantic City so the motel was good but very inconvenient if you brought your dogs

It was a pretty standard motel 6 but it was cleaner than previous properties I’ve been to. The lady at the front desk is sweet and the surrounding area has lots of food options and a decent view. Only downside is that there is no microwave inside the room, just a mini fridge, the tv wasn’t working, and no complimentary breakfast either.

We stayed at Motel 6 in Somers Po once and we’re not happy. The room was a no frills room and was only $75 but even a no frills room has a micro wave and gives little shampoos and conditioners. This Motel does not give anything. There is one microwave when you first walk in for all of the rooms. There is one ice machine because one broke upstairs so you have to travel all the way to the first floor and down the hall. But that is not the biggest problem. We did our regular check and when we inspected the beds there was hair and dirt under the mattress protector. We had to stay over for business another time and we got to the area late. We noticed that not many hotels were available after midnight especially down the shore in the wintertime. Motel 6 was available even though we were very hesitant. Our options were very limited. We reluctantly purchased the room at 12:02am and went to check in around 12:08am. When we got there my husband ran in to get the room key and check in. The man behind the counter who later said he was not the owner but we think he was, was extremely rude just like the previous visit, but this time He said we got there too late to check in. We were actually 8 minutes past 12am and nowhere for Motel 6 on Hotels.com does it say anything about not being able to check in late. It does not state a cutoff time For Check in on the. Motel 6 website either. This Hotel was disgusting and the people who work there are absolutely horrible. Trust me stay away!!

Chose this location because it was pet friendly and I needed to bring my dog on this trip. There were quite a few dogs at the hotel. The hotel was only 10 minutes from Ocean Beach/Boardwalk which was very convenient.

The people were nice and the room was nice and clean and liked that it had a balcony

My wife and I often get hotel rooms for hot tubs. We usually go to Feathernest Inn in Cherry Hill but got what we thought was a great deal here. Not even 10 minutes after filling our hot tub around 4pm, the fire alarm started going off. It wasn't just in our room, it was the entire motel. Staff could not turn it off and had to wait for the fire department. The Lady behind the desk was super friendly, super nice, and super helpful. A firefighter and police officer came. They saw it was from the hot tub. The lady as well as both of them said it happens often and gave us suggestions on how to prevent it. We followed all of her suggestions. Around 8:30pm, right after filling the hot tub as we were getting ready to get in, the fire alarms started going off again. This time, a male employee appeared at our door. He aggressively pushed his way in, turned every single light on, looked in our bags, gave us an attitude as if we were trying to build a campfire or were criminals. We had zero candles, we don't smoke. We went downstairs to talk to him, he was talking down to us and at us. He tried to tell us not to use the hot tub them. We purposely booked that room and boom rooms for the hot tub. Why would we pay to not use it? He kept talking down to us and at us like we were criminals and scum of the earth. The same firefighter came back, looked around, said it was the hot tub again and was going to tell the male employee they need to move the smoke alarms if they're going to have them

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Plenty of parking. Was adequate for a no frills place.. there was a small refrigerator in the room but no coffee pot. Shared microwave available in lobby.

The office staff was very professional and courtesy. She answered my questions and was just very friendly and polite. The room was extremely clean and the bed was comfortable.

ROOM SMELLED DISGUSTING, clearly severe mold damage. It smelled like mold and cheese being heavily covered by chlorine. The smell of the room was so unbearable we found another hotel... This place also had a generally uncomfortable atmosphere. Don't waste your money or ruin your trip here.

Room was disgusting. Mold on the shower curtain- like all across the bottom and half an inch thick. Towels were dirty , tub and jacuzzi were both no cleaned. Jacuzzi water stopper also covered in mold. Not to mention the missing tile, dirty curtains, and the wasp nest outside so i couldn’t even enjoy the patio.

Clean clean clean!!! Went to an event in AC and this was the best place to stay. Totally worth the 20min drive over to the convention center!

The room was clean

There was blood on the sheets and pillow cases, . I think you should invest in better pillows the ones you have are terrible. Location is great and dogs staying for free is a great touch. I would love to see you out more live into the rooms.

Many red spots on the ceiling and around bathtub. Could not stay in the room.

Smelled strongly of cleaning supplies, visible stains on bed spread, remote taped together, tv not working (maybe due to remote?) Stains are a big NO!

The bed was so uncomfortable. Felt like I was sleeping on plywood.

The sliding door to patio was broken. The shower was terrible the mob to turn it on was so lose you couldn’t get the water

All slept great on beds, was quiet our 2 mid-week nights. Mini-fridge was deep w/ separate freezer that worked well. Room/furnishings not new, but clean all-around except for a little mildew along bottom of shower curtain. Hall carpet looked nearly brand new. Large patio area, but lots of spotted lanternflies in parking lot. Was pretty good for a last-minute budget stay.

The place was clean, and staff helped right away with a TV issue. My only issue was with the mattress. I could feel the springs against my body. Other than that, it was good.

Facility was very rundown TV didn’t work, and couldn’t get Internet. The owners of managers were extremely helpful and responsive despite of these deficiencies for which we are thankful.

The place was nice and good location. For staying there one night it was great. Loved that each room had a balcony. The hotel was only 12 mins from Ocean City. Everything was great beside the shower. I noticed it wouldn’t drain so it was kind of like taking a bath while showering and the water pressure just wasn’t that great. Other than that it was great.

Our room was clean and the bedroom seemed updated, but the mattress was very uncomfortable and the pillows were very thin and unsupportive. The bathroom was clean, but very run down. Tub was very chipped and it was very hard to turn on the water. The sink is outside of the bathroom and had no surface space around it for toiletries.

The room with a jacuzzi was very small for 300$. No carpet. Tv didnt work well. No microwave. No coffee. No place to sit except the bed. No dresser of any kind. Will not stay there again

Its not quiet and the walls are so thin, i could here everything going on in my neighbors room and the hallway. The water in the toilet ran all night, my door had to be slammed to lock and each time my neighbors close theirs i could hear the slamming. The neighbor next to me was moaning and banging the wall all night. However, I can say that although the rooms are basic, they were pretty clean. Our rooms also had balconies but no chairs.

The room air conditioner blew very cold air right towards the bed, and so it was uncomfortable and we had to turn it off. The sliding door seal must have been broken at some point, because the door was completely clouded and you could not see out of it. The bed had 3 long dark strands of hair. We could hear the TV next door on all night, and that many people came in very late (3am) and were extremely noisy, slamming doors and talking very loudly. There was no coffee provided.

It was quite a situation. My job pays for hotel stays twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays. I accidentally booked a hotel for the 19th instead of the 20th, late at night around 11:30 PM. Within five minutes of submitting the reservation, I called the hotel to see if they could change my check-in to the 20th, but they refused. Expedia attempted to secure a refund so I could rebook, but the property owner declined that as well. It seems they feel like they got one over on me for $80. However, between now and mid-May, they'll be missing out on 65 hotel stays from me because I won’t be returning. I've already stayed there six times this year. I also feel that Expedia, which I typically use 90% of the time, didn’t do enough to help. As a result, I won’t be using them anymore either.

Easy check in and friendly staff.

I enjoyed my stay. The staff was very professional. My room had no working heat and when i brought it up to the front desk, they immediately apologized and switched my room.

No one was at the front desk most of the time. Maid service was practically nil as all I ever got was a roll of toilet paper from the maid in the hallway. Never saw any mail since the first day. No towels, trash pick up, no nothing. Bedspreads were dirty. The bathtub was dirty too. There was 1 hard kitchen type chair to sit on & there were 2 of us. Pictures online did not come close to reality. And to boot, the first night, the fire alarm went off at about 6AM and scared the heck out of us! Not a comfortable, relaxing trip!

Stayed for a few days to enjoy OC beach. Our second day we noticed a leak coming from the pipe joint underneath the sink in our room. I notified the office that morning before we left. By the time we returned the repair was made. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. I would stay again.

The room was great nice size I was by myself just needed overnight the guy at the front desk is very nice it wasn't to busy not sure what the bad reviews are about this is a clean nice location also close to ventnor city longport and ocean City also has small balconie the heater works great room was nice and warm will definitely stay again

Very clean, as quiet within a basic community neighborhood.

Very convenient and easy to get everywhere. Very quiet and I loved that I was about to bring my dog! And theres a dog beach five minutes away! Rooms could've been a little cleaner, but that was about it. Other than that no complaints.

Really enjoyed this motel and was easily able to commute to AC for the weekend.

My room was clean and comfortable. The staff are very nice people. If you’re a budget traveler like me there’s nothing wrong with this place it’s a great deal. Somers Point is a cool town, all the bars and restaurants are walkable.

I would recommend this location to family and friends. The location was not to far from the boardwalk. The room met our expectations.

This property is across the street from a picturesque bay. The property is clean, and the staff is nice there is a lounge outside and very nice.

Would stay again.Its in a great spot to Ocean City AC,and Somers Point.

I like motel 6 is pet stay free. It is not too bad for what you pay for. I was watching TV with volume 10 around 9:30pm. And next door kept banging my wall, I turned TV off and it stopped. So wall may be thin. I can also hear hallway noise. I read the review and I brought my own shampoo, condition, etc. Wawa is close by if I need coffee in the morning.
