OYO Hotel Douglas GA US-441

We booked a stay due to we were out of power and our 18 month old has health conditions and we need electricity to have his machine charged. We arrived and was advised they had no power and water. Then why is booking rooms available when you know this. Still awaiting our refund

The hotel was decent but not worth the cost per night, no where to park except out of sight of rooms,room not cleaned well , people walked all time of night outside making noise, and room smelled like smoke but was supposed to be non smoking …

We didn’t even stay, we arrived and the general manager said “we have some obstacles sorry we just got the property 3 days ago, we only have rooms with AC and no water or we have rooms with no AC and hot water or we have rooms with no water or AC but they are clean. Some of the rooms have clean floors but the bathroom is dirty and some of the rooms need to have new sheets put on. I can walk around and you can pick out a room that suits you best, or you can cancel your room.” I felt like I was in the movie the hills have eyes.

The pictures of the property that are advertised are not even close to what we arrived at. The main sign was falling off so we had a hard time finding the hotel. Upon arrival the front guest reception area was not clean, floors were gross and had dog hair all over them and was in disarray. The owner had to put away one of their dogs as he has been known to bite according to them. The outside of the building had cleanliness issues as well. There were piles of trash around the stairs. Down the walkway from our room there were abandoned air mattresses as well as microwave and mini fridge. The room didn't get any better as the carpet on the floor was disgusting the beds you could feel the coils from the mattresses and they had brown stains on the sides if them. The linens on the beds and towels were dingy and had stains. Our door wouldn’t latch shut when closed. The tile area was sticky. We wouldn’t have stayed if there were any other hotels near by and we could have gotten a room at and our money back but neither was an option. Next morning we woke up to a strong smell of weed in our room as someone was smoking it outside and the window above the door was broken. When we booked we knew the hotel wasn't the ritz but at least thought it would be cleaner and not so sketchy.

Due to the damage to the area because of Hurricane Helene, this hotel had no power, phone service etc. but because they had not updated their website, we were still able to book a room for our trip and were never notified of the situation. We were charged for a week we never stayed and we contacted Hotels.com and attempted to contact the hotel and OYO corporate customer service to get a refund but that still hasn’t happened.

The hotel also claims to offer free breakfasts, but it does not. it looks as if the pictures and services offered were from 10+ years ago. The room had trash, food and cigarette butts all around the floor around the bed and tables. The sheets had stains and shoe prints all over, and the towels did too. The TV did not work, the Heater/AC did not work, the microwave did not work, and most of the light bulbs were burnt out. The bathroom walls and ceiling had black mold and the shower curtain looked as if it had not been washed or replaced in years. Avoid this hotel. It should not be in business!

This property should not be open at all. No towels or toilet paper in the bathroom. The electrical in the room was a hazard. Bathtub had dirt in it, floor was dirty. The TV was in black and white with no sound. It was so bad that it should not be on Hotels.com booking, we expect a certain product standard from this website. And at $89.00 a night, which is deceiving, and no one to dispute with or to get a refund from.

Didnt even get to stay.. a hurricane came and i called and asked if they had power and they said sure...guess what..no power and noone is even there to book you in.. this place is a scam...dont book here

Absolutely disgusting! The place looks condemned. Got there and said NOPE, didn’t even check in. Also they kept my money and will not refund me. Green water too

I would not let my worst enemies dead dog stay the night at this place! The doors do not shut nor do they lock. There is an infestation of bed bugs and cockroaches. It is disgusting in every possible way. I never met the staff because they refused to come out of there room to speak to me.

Should probably be shut down. I’ve never seen a more dirty or dingy hotel. Don’t stay here. Try any of the hotels in the south part of town. Bugs and filth everywhere.

I was supposed to check into my room at 3:00 I did not get to check into my room until 5:00 because there was nobody in the office the windows were busted out of my room it was infested with roaches my door did not lock I'm going in or coming out.. And the fire alarm didn't work

They didn't honor reservations. For 50$ they charged 120$for dirty run down motel room. Holes in the walls, cheap mattress. And dead bolt hook on with string....

I couldn't sleep all night. There were animals biting me all over my body.

STAY AWAY from this hotel. The pictures on the site must have been taken 20 years ago. The place looks totally abandoned. The place looks like its falling apart. I checked in and went to the room, the bathroom was dirty, there was sprinkled $hit on the toilet from previous guests, the bath tub looked filthy and old and yellow, the carpet full of bubble gum stuck to it, the bed sheets smelled bad, they looked like they hadn’t been changed from the previous guests as well as the pillow cases. The main door was broken down. To latch to lock door. Over all this place is a scam. The same way I walked in the room, I walked right out and lost what I paid and went to the holiday inn in town. They won’t refund you the money. Its a disgrace for expedia to allow such a $hitty hotel to be posted in their site. This place literaly needs to be demolished. Looks like an unsafe building. The canopy in the lobby is falling apart. I’ve been around all over the united states amd seen lots of bad amd great hotels. By far this is the worst I’ve ever stayed in. There wasn’t even toilet paper. I guess these people just receive the rooms when checked out and they just do the bed and thats it. No cleaning at all. They respond to guests reviews that they will address the issue and that mext time it will be better. Thats all BS. I was doing a round trip from Florida to Georgia and just needed a place to sleep, with the rates per night I wasn’t expecting much so I was satisfied with my stay. I would suggest updating and painting.

I Ring the bell for 25 to 30 minutes greeted by 2. Large dogs owner finally came out with a gun on his hip. Very nasty very aggressive very uninviting we were too afraid to stay there me and my family left. They have my money and we never stayed there.

The hotel did not disclose the condition of the hotel and all of the storm damage that was present. It was not acceptable and I requested my reservation to be cancelled and my money refunded but the hotel has not responded.

This place is horrible. Run down and gross. I canceled my reservation and they still charged me $315. Also they wanted to charge me for my service dog!

The person in charge simply came out to say I don't have any rooms, call Expidia to get your money back! Bad, bad, bad service Im waiting for my money back

The hotel was in terrible condition and they gave away my room before I got there; it was the last room in the area and I had to sleep in my car. I got a refund. The service was non existent. I had to search for the attendant just to be told he gave away my room hours before.

There was no staff available when my employee went to check in or even the next morning. Hotel refused to issue a refund.

I can't believe you would even work with this hotel. This is a slum hotel. All african american LIVING in this hotel. Children running around. The lobby locked, says to ring bell, bell broke, looking thru window nothing in lobby. No one responded at 3:00 checkin. I will get my money back for this -1 rating from expedia! I never checkin because i couldn't and I would NEVER stay there. There is no telephone or easy to communicate with hotel oe Expedia.

Got to the hotel at 10 pm after getting equipment to help people in Douglas, Ga., after the hurricane. The office was closed. A sign was on the door saying there were no more rooms and the office would open at 10 am. We had no room after traveling 5 hours. We ended up sleeping on the floor of the church with no blanket. I’ll never stay at OYO. We had a reservation, but no one called to say you’d sold our room.

Terrible experience. Booked a stay, confirmed it day of, when we got there they had sold our room to someone else. We tried going through the hotel to get a refund on our stay and they wouldn’t provide it. We then tried to go through hotels.com and they would not refund our money. We are now going through the credit card it was booked with to get a refund for a 2 day stay we booked a week in advanced and didn’t even stay at the hotel for. Absolute robbery. Don’t deal with this hotel or hotels.com.

People passed out in the lobby, smelled like dope. Extremely dangerous place to stay. We cancelled on arrival and found a new hotel to stay at. They are refusing to refund my money at this time. Should not be allowed on Hotels.com.
