We had a great stay at SpringHill Suites for a quick 3 day getaway to visit friends and enjoy summer in North Tahoe and Truckee. The hotel is in an easy to access location, just a few minute drive away from historic downtown Truckee and right off highway 80. We enjoyed the hotel gym, the hot tub and pool, and the clean and well maintained facilities. The hotel seems pretty new. Free breakfast was included which was a great perk and was a well stocked breakfast buffet including a make your own waffle machine, eggs, bacon, yogurts, oatmeal, cereal selection, breads and muffins. Parking was easy. Room was spacious and had a built in organizer for putting away clothes in the closet. I would definitely stay again.

Loved the hot tub on a cold snowy night and nice spacious rooms! Friendly staff. The parking should be included though, or they should build it into the price, it was kind of insulting to be asked for another $10 after paying a lot for the room. But all in all a nice stay on a business trip.

Clean, updated, great stay in Truckee. Rooms felt very clean and the beds were comfortable. Hotel was very dog friendly. Plenty of surrounding grass for our dog to roam around. 20 minute drive from palisades mountain. Would definitely stay here again if in the Truckee area!

Good hotel at a good location. We were able to book a room on short notice at a reasonable price. The hot tub was broken while we were there. Lines at breakfast can be long. Easy parking. Overall recommended.

Property seemed new & well maintained but beware of hidden fees. Upon check-in I was charged an extra, suprise fee of $100 "pet fee" for a 1 night stay along with a $10 parking fee. Not worth the price to stay here. Would go elsewhere- at least post fees upfront.

The swimming pool and "hot tub" were tiny in size. Not large or deep enough for am adult to actually swim much. No jacuzzi jets in the pool that was considered a hot tub. Staff were very friendly. Pretty surroundings. Close to restaurants and trails in the Truckee area.

I have stayed here multiple times and this last stay my room had a terrible smell. I would equate it to the smell of BO. When I arrived, I was switched from a King room to a 2 Queen bed room which was fine. When I got to my room and walked in and it smelled awful, I tried to open the window but it's locked, run the fan in the bedroom, it didn't work. I was too tired to go through the hassle of switching rooms, I used the gym in the morning there were no wipes, no towels to use. This was the first time I did not have a good experience.

The property is a great location. The rooms are comfortable. The low point was that room was not as clean as it could be. My teenager found nicotine patches and food crumbs in the couch/day bed where she was sleeping on the night we stayed. For a Marriot property, I expect a clean room including the edges of the carpet/corners/couches.

The room was filthy! The pull out from the couch, the mattress had crumbs. Under the couch was very dirty! The bathroom hadn’t been sweeped. The bathroom floor still had hair all over. We had bought some things at the snack bar and needed utensils, none were provides, so my husband drove around for 35 min to find a store open to get utensils. That was a huge inconvenience!

The property is adjacent to the Freeway and very noisy so you can't open the windows at night. In both of our rooms, 232 and 305, the HVAC unit had not been properly maintained. There were grinding and thumping sounds that made it impossible to sleep. There is no excuse for not maintaining these units.

Really nice rooms at an affordable price. Breakfast was free and had a lot of options. My main problem was that there was no way of turning the fan in the bathroom off and it was on 24/7 and loud. I also didn't realize there would be a $10/day parking fee. No Hulu on the TV as an fyi if that's a subscription you use.

Pros: Hotel staff were great, very friendly and very helpful (even when the entire hotel lost power). Breakfast was complimentary and pretty good. Cons: Check in was very slow. Fire alarm in the middle of the room directly over one of the queen beds with a constant bright flashing light. Substantially better rates when not booked direct with Marriott but no Bonvoy points for stay.

The management is just superb. Very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was equally friendly and accommodating... as were the front desk staff both at check in with parking recommendations as well as a late check out. Just outstanding and I've been recommending the Truckee Springhill suites to many people interested in visiting. Thanks!!

I booked a double queen months prior. Upon arrival they told me they didn’t have any double queens available because lots of people took them earlier in the day. Even though I booked the reservation months prior. So we had to take a king room and one slept on the couch. Buyer beware you may not get what you reserved months prior and paid for.

Check-in/out easy & friendly. Room was clean, comfortable & spacious. Continental breakfast was good. Parking extra $10 but enough spaces. Room was surprisingly quiet even though it was facing highway & forest. We had a good rest. Would be back if we're in the area again.

Great property, looks fairly new. Clean and quiet. Comfy bed. Front desk staff was kind enough to let us check into an available room a few hours early to get ready for a wedding we were attending so Thank You for that!! Breakfast was good. Would definitely stay here again!

I was disappointed with my stay here. I stayed in Marriott Suites before but this one was sub-standard. The aisle had a bad smell on second floor. The room AC unit attached to window was very loud. I had to pay for parking which was not listed in the Expedia listing. The girl at the reception has an attitude; won't be very helpful with my questions. The other staff I encountered around the hotel were friendly. Overall I'd expect much better from a Marriott hotel.

I had booked the room for two nights over six months ago. But upon checking in at the hotel, I was informed my reserved room was not available, they were fully booked, and they had to relocate me to another hotel for the night due to unforeseen circumstances. It would have been helpful if they had emailed or called me as a courtesy, prior to me arriving at the hotel and finding this out upon checking in. Additionally, the manager mentioned the first night would be compensated, but I still got charged for that night by the other hotel they relocated me to, so I had to dispute it. The following morning, they did call me early to offer me a double queen (instead of a studio king I originally booked), so was able to stay at Springhill for a night. Breakfast was average but the room was clean, spacious and comfortable.

I really was happily surprised with the location, cleanliness, and overall look of the hotel. Parking is $10 per day which is not covered thru the Expedia booking-so beware! The walk to downtown Truckee is about 1 mi and involves a pretty steep incline on the way back to the hotel. Also, no sidewalks. Due to the weather, we chose to drive to downtown. Breakfast highlight-make your own Waffle! But other than that the breakfast provides the basics: boiled & scrambled eggs, bacon, yogurt, oatmeal, few bread options, and beverages. It’s not great, but it does the job. Room cleaning was not offered for our stay-we stayed two nights. I feel like that service should return (post-covid). Workout room was adequate. Pool is small-about 10x10. And hot tub is about 6 x 6. Pool was not open while we were there. With all that said, we would stay here again-and probably pick a room with a balcony.

We had a great stay at SpringHill Suites for a quick 3 day getaway to visit friends and enjoy summer in North Tahoe and Truckee. The hotel is in an easy to access location, just a few minute drive away from historic downtown Truckee and right off highway 80. We enjoyed the hotel gym, the hot tub and pool, and the clean and well maintained facilities. The hotel seems pretty new. Free breakfast was included which was a great perk and was a well stocked breakfast buffet including a make your own waffle machine, eggs, bacon, yogurts, oatmeal, cereal selection, breads and muffins. Parking was easy. Room was spacious and had a built in organizer for putting away clothes in the closet. I would definitely stay again.

Everything about this facility is nice. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The only issue we had was the breakfast area was not big enough to handle all of the people getting breakfast they kept running out of food. Other than that the trip was great!

Very noisy, like sleeping on the highway and not in a hotel. The breakfast is meager and not tasty. All the reviews I read earlier are not true regarding what I noted above. The cleanliness and amenities of the room are good.

One spot tells you there is a charge for parking and another there isn't. We were charged. Very noisy - evidently a good place for families. Breakfast was ok, but staff not great at refilling things. Good coffee! Very nice, clean rooms.

Great property, looks fairly new. Clean and quiet. Comfy bed. Front desk staff was kind enough to let us check into an available room a few hours early to get ready for a wedding we were attending so Thank You for that!! Breakfast was good. Would definitely stay here again!

A/C is old and noisy, and it blows right into the guest near it. Bed is too high for a short person. Shower head is old and clogged and water pressure is too low. Not even a shower head with a hose Breakfast is pretty lousy and ends at 9 AM??? This hotel is not even 3 stars and definitely should not be a Marriott subsidiary.

The only deficiency was the breakfast. It wasn't on time and was a little blah. I watch as the linemen waited and then were disappointed. Everything else was great.

We’ve stayed here several times while in the area, and will continue to do so. Helpful and attentive staff, ample quality breakfast selections, lovely setting off 1-80 up the hill from downtown Truckee, and large suite. I rated this a 4 instead of my usual 5 star rating as a few things in the vanity area of the bathroom needed attention. There were numerous dried white spots (?toothpaste) on the walls which were easily removed with a wet washcloth. Built-up dust and grit were on the counter behind the sink, and one corner of the counter which were unsightly - this was unfortunate as the rest of the bathroom and living areas were neat and well-stocked.

Personal sehr freundlich, leider waren einige Dinge im Zimmer schon etwas abgewohnt, bei der Fernbedienung fehlt etwa der Deckel auf den Batterien, Klimaanlage leider sehr sehr laut und hat bei unserem Zimmer mit 2 Queenbetten direkt auf das Bett geblasen, hier hätten dadurch keine 2 Personen schlafen können, Frühstück durchschnittlich wie meistens, Frühstücksraum eher klein, Parkplatz wird extra verrechnet.

Cam at check-in was amazing.y friendly and helpful. The hotel is updated and smells really fresh and new, and all the paint/carpet/furnishings are really new-feeling. Beds are comfy, and the rooms are huge. Only knock on our stay was that one of the two elevators was not working, and the one working one was very slow. So we had to do some waiting around sometimes since we had to do multiple trips with a luggage cart. Parking is all outdoor and you have to pay for it, but it seemed very safe. We were able to park in a spot that could be seen very easily right from our window. It is also not an area with any foot traffic, so there just aren't that many people that would pass your parked car. Including photos of the half-decent gym since often there aren't great pictures of hotels' gyms.
