Great find! Rooms are big and beautiful. Bathroom has plush towels, adjustable hand held shower and soap shampoo dispenser. House is beautiful. We enjoyed playing pool, sitting outside and on the couch in the hall. Will definitely stay again! Thanks Shelley for all your attention to details!

I brought my wife to this Beautiful B&B for her birthday. We met a couple at the Respite B&B and we all went to The Freight House for dinner, then we all went to see, The Little River Band. We had a great time then we came back to the B&B and played pool! Breakfast the next morning was great and Shelley was so nice! We can hardly wait to come back!

We came for a couple days for our anniversary. This is a beautiful place. The communication with the owners was great. It was a contact free check in. In the description when I booked it said it had onsite parking but that was not correct. Parking was on the street but it was still convenient.

This place feels like you are staying at your home away from home. The family who owns it was super welcoming and makes an amazing breakfast. Loved the billiards room.

Honestly, because of multiple festivals and events that weekend, my first choice was sold out, but the Respite ad looked comparable and I got their last room…and that them made them sold out, too. The facility is nicely appointed in traditional art, antiques and decor. The room seemed much nicer than its pictures, so that was a pleasant surprise. Perhaps the spacious balcony porch with its padded rocking chairs was my favorite spot. The staff person person onsite was quite cordial, hospitable and competent, including their breakfast cooking. The Respite is also extremely convenient to the Convention and Expo Center. Now that a day has passed, I believe “Respite” is a perfect name for this jewel in Paducah.

Enjoyed staying here. No-contact check-in instructions were easy. Bed was firm which I appreciated very much. Parking was on the street but it’s a quiet neighborhood, so that was no problem. Drove a couple blocks away to a pizza place which was amazing. The B&B is also part banquet hall and there was an ROTC military ball there the night we stayed. My 9-yr old daughter really enjoyed seeing the students dressed up and dancing as we were coming and going from dinner.

Such a beautiful B&B and walking distance from downtown Paducah! We got the suite with a jetted tub and it was the most relaxed we’ve been in a while!! Highly recommend staying here for a relaxing, quiet getaway.

Lovely B&B ideally situated near downtown Paducah. Very close to the National Quilt Museum and the sewing needle sculpture. Key code entry. Breakfast was delicious. Enjoyed chatting with the hostess Andrea and other guests at the communal table. Room was very clean and comfortable, and enjoyed sitting outside on the balcony for my morning coffee. Hope to stay here again the next time I visit Paducah.

We had a wonderful time visiting Paducah, thanks in part to our comfortable, spacious, and spotlessly clean room. The B&B was in easy walking distance to the National Quilt Museum. We opted for breakfast vouchers for the Gold Rush restaurant and it was incredible.

We (my son and I) have only stayed at one other honest-to-God BnB. The Respite blew it away. The house is new but built to look older. With that new build, you get all the amenities (tons of outlets, HUGE room, private bath, etc). The beds were very comfortable. The room was quiet (I believe one other guest was there the same night but they were quiet and there are "quiet hours" from 10pm - 7am). There is even an elevator to help you get up to the 2nd story. We absolutely loved it, and loved Paducah! If I am ever back in Paducah, I am coming back to The Respite and not even considering a hotel. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

Really nice staff, allowed for early check-in when traveling with a 1-year old. Close to downtown galleries etc., but only on-street parking available (expected) and our car was covered in sap in the morning (unexpected). The real deal-breaker for me was the bed in the room we stayed in. It literally was so high it had a step-stool but not only that it was a level of firm that to me was painful to sleep on (and the lack of any give made me more concerned I would roll off the extremely high bed). My husband said it was hard but okay, I found it literally unsleepable and added a blanket to the couch and slept there.

The b&b is beautiful. We are disappointed that there isn't a thermostat for the room so we could control the temp of our room. Also disappointed in the comfort of the mattress. It is very hard and uncomfortable.

Shelley reached out with all the information we needed to check in and get to our room and answered all of my qurstions. In the morning, she made our wonderful breakfast of eggs, cheesey hashbrowns, bacon, yogurt, juice and coffee! Bed was very comfortable, jacuuzi tub worked great. Very nice stay!

My wife and I were staying here for our anniversary and we couldn’t have been happier with the accommodations. The room was spacious and tastefully furnished and everything was exactly as advertised. You won’t find a more pleasant inn experience than The Respite!

The Respite B &B is located in a beautiful part of town near historical downtown. The room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. We used breakfast vouchers and enjoyed a delicious breakfast at The Gold Rush Cafe.

We had a wonderful time visiting Paducah, thanks in part to our comfortable, spacious, and spotlessly clean room. The B&B was in easy walking distance to the National Quilt Museum. We opted for breakfast vouchers for the Gold Rush restaurant and it was incredible.

We stayed just one night on our long journey home from our winter getaway. We loved our very roomy room. The beds and linens top notch! Slept great! The owner wasn’t in town to prepare us breakfast in the morning but left us vouchers to be used at one of the diners in town. They covered the bases. I would definitely stay again.

The B & B was an excellent choice. Clean, atmospheric, close to everything, roomy. We particularly enjoyed breakfast and the company of Shelly, the hostess and cook. Our room was beautiful. We definitely plan on visiting again.

We enjoyed the spacious and beautifully decorated house. Our room was clean and comfortable with a balcony and Keurig Coffee Pot. Homemade breakfast was delicious and enjoyed with other guests. We will return again to this amazing place in a great location!

Lovely B&B ideally situated near downtown Paducah. Very close to the National Quilt Museum and the sewing needle sculpture. Key code entry. Breakfast was delicious. Enjoyed chatting with the hostess Andrea and other guests at the communal table. Room was very clean and comfortable, and enjoyed sitting outside on the balcony for my morning coffee. Hope to stay here again the next time I visit Paducah.

We enjoyed the property, very quiet and well maintained. The billiards room was nice, we enjoyed having a way to spend the evening. We would definitely stay again, it was a nice stop over, but would like to explore Paducah more.

We had a 3 night stay at The Respite and it was wonderful! It was peaceful and relaxing, and oh so beautiful! The staff was very friendly and quick to respond to any questions. Breakfast was a treat and the location was very convenient; an easy walk to the National Quilt Museum, the Riverwalk and the vibrant downtown area. Staying at The Respite was the highlight of our visit!

I got the bed but no breakfast to be had. This place was essentially self service with no host or staff available or apparent during my stay. Nearly a week from my stay and still no response or resolution. Had to call them again to get any acknowledgement of the missing half of their name. The facility itself was very nice.
