The Boathouse is located at the end of Kata Beach, and is one of the few hotels with private beachfront in Kata, with both restaurant and pool areas immediately on the beach. Kata Beach is beautiful, and less busy than Patong and Karon, highly recommended for families and for a bit less buster than some other locations, while maintaining a great selection of restaurants and other activities. There are some seafood restaurants 50 metres of walking on the beach that offer excellent dining options, as well as a Ska bar for some relaxed drinks or more. The property is excellently maintained, with rooms and facilities in great condition. The design is beautiful, and it is a proper smallish to medium boutique hotel. The pool areas are very nice with ample sunbeds and great service from the pool staff. The rooms are nice, spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and pillows, clever storage solutions and quiet air condition. The breakfast is a la carte with broad selection of western and thai options, and the food is high quality. The restaurant is also great for both lunch and dinner, with a nice sea breeze and view of the beach, and excellent food. The staff is friendly, helpful and service minded, and we felt well taken care of at all times. They really walk the extra mile. We have stayed in many hotels around the world, and several different locations in Thailand, and The Boathouse is a gem, highly recommended and great value. We will be back! (We stayed 12 nights)

One of the best hotels we have stayed in. The boutique nature of this hotel set it apart from everything around it. The business of the streets around were forgotten and the hotel was a tranquil retreat. Direct access to the beach is a gem. Do note, the sunloungers outside the hotel on the beach are not part of the hotel but they're very cheap and if you can't get a space by the pool (which was never actually a problem, even in the middle of January) you can pay to be there. Breakfast was sublime, dinner was sublime and the cooking class is a must!

The property is under lot of renovation, and wasnt communicated with us prior to the visit. It was noisy during the day even by the pool side, construction all the time. Outside elevator hall also under construction, quite dangerous for guest to walk through. Inside room many thing broken, hair dryer was not working, there are no toilet paper in thr room. Overall not good experience.

Excellent service, modern amenities, friendly staff. The restaurant had good food and great views of Kata Beach. Gym on the premises was small but totally adequate for a workout. Kata Beach is very popular so don’t go to that area if you’re looking for something more secluded!

We had a fabulous holiday in phuket at the boathouse, staffs were friendly and helpful, knowing that we had to leave earlier to catch the flight, they had arranged for early breakfast for us and the airport car was already there waiting for us. Thank you boathouse staffs and the room was cleaned, everything was perfect, no complaints, we will be back again definitely 😀

I have to to comment on our stay at The Boathouse hotel. Not only were the accommodations beautiful, clean, and exactly as described. But, the staff was unbelievably kind and helpful to us. I got sick on my second day in Phuket (not from the hotel, but from a fruit smoothie in the local market). They not only asked about me every day, but they sent boiled rice and toast whenever we asked. Housekeeping was so accommodating with our schedule considering I was in the room sick the whole time. And, lastly, they let us stay extra hours on the day of our departure because I still wasn’t 100%. I cannot say enough, good things about our experience here, do not hesitate to book at the Boathouse hotel. You will not be disappointed!

Amazing hotel right on the beach. We upgraded our room and we had a terrace overlooking the sea. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. The bed was really comfortable. The staff were lovely and very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. We really loved our stay in Pukhet at the Boathouse

The hotel located on the best part of Kata beach, it was clean, well maintained, friendly staff. The bed are comfortable however the pillows were stiff. The breakfast was a la carte menu. the food choices were limited and we couldn’t get a proper cappuccino as much as we tried. We loved the fact that there was no smoking in the pool or dining area. The area outside the hotel was rundown and not much to do. However the beach was great and we could not fault the hotel. Would recommend staying here.

This boutique hotel was absolutely amazing! The breakfast was 10/10, the staff were all so attentive and helpful, the beds were extremely comfortable and the views of the beach from everywhere just topped off a perfect holiday. We loved have a few restaurants on the beach next door to the property and we enjoyed having the shops and restaurants along the main road at the hotel entrance. We will be back!

Not what I expected. I came to the Boathouse Phuket by a recommendation of a friend but it didn’t leave to my expectations. Yes must admit location on the beach is great, pool is nice and front desk service was outstanding. But the restaurant service is Terrible, the bed is hard as wood, the rooms need renovation and there is simply no lobby and the restaurant inside seating is stuffy. So NO I would not recommend it for the price it is. You will get much better value in other beach hotels in Phuket.

I was discriminated just because I wasn’t wearing shirt in the restaurant. They said they couldn’t serve me or I couldn’t order anything because I didn’t have a shirt on me. This is terrible is. Beach hotel and they said that.

Dear The Boathouse Management, I would like to express my great experience during our stay in your hotel. From the moment we arrived we were extremely welcomed by the reception and this warmth kept all the way to our departure. Every single staff member was very kind, friendly, helpful, attentive and supportive all the time. I also would like to manifest a special thanks to 3 staff members: Daniele, Bee and Pepe. They were over and above our expectations, making us feel very special guests every day. To the Chef working on the night shift of 09/09/24: I was in bed sick, feeling extremely ill. Your promptness offer for a Chicken porrige soup (it is not on the menu), brought me "back to life"! I will never forget your kindness even not knowing you name... Thank you very much! We booked two beach suites for 11 days and, before making our decision, conducted extensive research on over 20 different resorts across Phuket. Our needs were simple: a beachfront resort with direct beach access, located in an area where we could walk around and explore. The Boathouse ticked all the boxes, and we are extremely pleased with our choice. What truly sets this resort apart is the exceptional service. Every single member of the staff goes above and beyond to ensure guests are comfortable and well looked after. While we’re tempted to name specific individuals, we’re equally afraid of leaving someone out — so we’ll simply say: thank you to the entire team and management. You all deserve praise for creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Kata Beach, where the resort is located, is perfect for those seeking a quieter, more relaxed environment. It’s not a party scene, but it offers plenty of restaurants, shops, and charming spots to wander around. Since we stayed in April, the heat was quite intense most of the time — but with the beach just steps away and the pool within reach, a refreshing dip was always available. A few things to note: the beach is public, but sunbeds can be rented. There are also three restaurants right on the beach just outside the hotel, as well as a great beachfront bar/restaurant that stays open late.

Not what I expected. I came to the Boathouse Phuket by a recommendation of a friend but it didn’t leave to my expectations. Yes must admit location on the beach is great, pool is nice and front desk service was outstanding. But the restaurant service is Terrible, the bed is hard as wood, the rooms need renovation and there is simply no lobby and the restaurant inside seating is stuffy. So NO I would not recommend it for the price it is. You will get much better value in other beach hotels in Phuket.

Outstanding stay. Great hotel in a fantastic location on the beach front. The staff, all of them, were anazing. Never been treated so well. Breakfast was a la carte but you could order what you liked and as much as you like. We had an evening meal there too was superb and setting was romantic by night. Rooms were lovely and had all you needed included toiletries, iron and ironing board, fridge and 4 bottles of water daily. Water machines are available in the hotel too. No hesitation in recommending this hotel for a stay.

This was our first time back in Thailand since Covid and our first stay at The Boathouse in Kata beach. It did not disappoint! We had seen the hotel before having walked past it on previous trips to Phuket and had always thought it looks it really nice. It is a fantastic hotel. I would highly recommend it. The staff are amazing, they are extremely helpful and friendly. They will go out of their way to make sure that you have a great time at the hotel. I was a little apprehensive about the breakfast being a la carte rather than a buffet, but the food they have on offer is amazing and is cooked very quickly and you can order as much or as little as you want with no qualms from the staff. We stayed in a Seaview Terrace room, we had a terrace outside with a couple of sunbeds and a private outside with some chairs to sit out on. The room was very comfortable with a great private bathroom. We had dinner once at the hotel and while it is a bit expensive in comparison to outside local restaurants, the food is amazing and service fantastic. I would recommend booking in advance if you want to eat there. The pool is a little small but big enough to have a dip when you get hot and also the sea is right outside the hotel. We went the week before Christmas last year and it wasn't too busy at the hotel and there were adequate sun beds. It is easy walking distance to shops and restaurants, but is like an oasis in a busy town. We liked it so much we have booked to go again this year!

Lækkert hotel med meget søde medarbejdere. Rigtig fin morgenmad. Meget skrald på stranden nedenfor svimmingpoolen. Skuffende at hotellet ikke tog ansvar og fik nogle til at fjerne det. Vi gjorde opmærksom på det i receptionen, men vi så aldrig nogle der fulgte op på det.

Excellent service, modern amenities, friendly staff. The restaurant had good food and great views of Kata Beach. Gym on the premises was small but totally adequate for a workout. Kata Beach is very popular so don’t go to that area if you’re looking for something more secluded!

Rooms were good,staff great breakfast excellent and food good when eating in hotel,unfortunately for us and not hotels fought the weather was awful and there was oil or something on beach which took alot to get off my feetbut on the whole we still had a good stay...Thank you. .

Rum och poolområde var mycket bra. Personalen mycket hjälpsamma och trevliga och det kändes tryggt. Frukost var generös och bra. Tyvärr blev vi matförgiftade av fisken vi åt på hotellets restaurang.

The hotel located on the best part of Kata beach, it was clean, well maintained, friendly staff. The bed are comfortable however the pillows were stiff. The breakfast was a la carte menu. the food choices were limited and we couldn’t get a proper cappuccino as much as we tried. We loved the fact that there was no smoking in the pool or dining area. The area outside the hotel was rundown and not much to do. However the beach was great and we could not fault the hotel. Would recommend staying here.

Mycket trevligt hotell direkt på stranden. Fräscha rum och allmänna utrymmen. Poolområdet ganska litet men lugnt och välskött. Utmärkt restaurang med utsikt mot havet, ett mycket bättre alternativ än andra restauranger längs gatan utanför som är bullrig med ganska intensiv genomfartstrafik. Frukosten är mycket bra, välj fritt från menu istället för en trist standard buffe

Das Hotel ist grundsätzlich sehr nett gemacht, Personal sehr freundlich und bemüht. Essen wirklich sehr gut. Es gibt ein ala Card Frühstück, sehr lecker, tolle Auswahl und man kann sie viel bestellen wie man möchte. Mittag und Abendessen auch sehr gut, aber natürlich Preise eher gehoben. Lage ist auch gut, toller Blick über den Strand. Jedoch sehr viele Surfer. Am Pool waren immer Liegen frei und das Personal sehr aufmerksam. Wir waren 3 Tage in der Vorsession. 99% der Urlauber in Phuket sind aus Russland, demnach ist auch alles auf sie ausgelegt.

One of the best hotels we have stayed in. The boutique nature of this hotel set it apart from everything around it. The business of the streets around were forgotten and the hotel was a tranquil retreat. Direct access to the beach is a gem. Do note, the sunloungers outside the hotel on the beach are not part of the hotel but they're very cheap and if you can't get a space by the pool (which was never actually a problem, even in the middle of January) you can pay to be there. Breakfast was sublime, dinner was sublime and the cooking class is a must!

Beautiful ocean views and we really enjoyed the private beach. Facility is very cleaned, super nice and helpful staff. The room is good size but very clean and towels are changed every day. Breakfast food is not buffet and just standard. We had dinner the last night and the Thai dishes were disappointing. Pad Thai was mushy, no flavors, the grilled chicken was bland, cream puff & chocolate ice cream were bad, too.

The Boathouse war für uns bei einem 10-Tage Aufenthalt in einiger Hinsicht eine Enttäuschung. Für das was geboten wird ist das Hotel deutlich zu teuer. Die sehr positiven Kritiken in Hinblick auf das Speisenangebot konnten wir leider überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen. Das Frühstück war a la carte mit einer sehr begrenzten Auswahl und nichts davon war lecker - sogar der Toast wurde wie geplättet serviert und war trocken und fad. Auch Mittags und Abends waren die Speisen nicht überzeugend. Wir sind mehrfach zum Frühstück (das wir inklusive gebucht hatten) in andere Restaurants in der Nähe ausgewichen. Das Zimmer war klein und eher billig ausgestattet. Ein gummiertes Wellblech als Deko sollte wohl bei niedrigen Kosten eine maritimen Charme versprühen - tat es aber nicht. Die Badeinrichtung war auch nicht wirklich wertig - der Brausekopf war mini und nicht mal im Winkel verstellbar. Das Bett war sehr unbequem und hat mir einiges an Rückenschmerzen beschert. Ein echtes Plus ist allerdings die Lage - direkt am Strand und am ruhigen Ende des Kata-Beach. Vom Pool und dem Restaurant kann man super das Meer, die Surfer und den Sonnenuntergang beobachten. Das Gym ist klein aber ok. Ein defektes Laufband wurde zügig repariert. Insgesamt aber und im Vergleich zu vielen anderen Hotels die wir in Thailand und auch auf Phuket schon genutzt haben bleiben der völlig überzogene Preis und das schlechte Frühstück leider als dominierende Erinnerungen. Breakfast was a la carte but you could order what you liked and as much as you like. We had an evening meal there too was superb and setting was romantic by night. Rooms were lovely and had all you needed included toiletries, iron and ironing board, fridge and 4 bottles of water daily. Water machines are available in the hotel too. No hesitation in recommending this hotel for a stay.
Outstanding stay. Great hotel in a fantastic location on the beach front. The staff, all of them, were anazing. Never been treated so well. It is one of the few hotels right on the beach. The views are stunning. So convenient to play on the beach, then go back to your room. The restaurant is very good.

One of our favourite hotels, the view, the sound of the surf, staff are exceptional and the restaurant serves the best local and international cuisine. Highly recommend as this was our 3rd return. Looking forward to next year when we return.

Beautiful hotel and location, can’t beat being right on the beach. The room was clean and tidy, staff were always very friendly. I loved the breakfast and the view. The pool was beautiful overlooking the beach. I’ll stay here again when I visit Phuket again.
