The resort is beautiful, breathtaking. The infinity pool was nice and clean, the drinks at the pool bar were great and the staff very nice and friendly. The villa was clean and the beds very confortable, we had a unit that had the pool access and let me tell you it was amazing, just opening the back door and walking a few steps to the pool was great. The only thing is that if you are planning to cook there’s not alot of utensils but to us it wasn’t an issue and we didn’t have hot water in our unit. Will definitely stay here again.

This place is under a lot of construction. There are very little safety features. My uncle fel in the pool because all the edges are angled. There are no handicap or bars to help into pools. Stairs in place very slipery and i cut myself hold on to the only bar they have. There is no manual to what is in the condo so it is hard to figure out lights tv and so forth. Lights outside of private pools do not work. People are very friendly and try accommodate as best as possible but even though it is very pretty be cautious it is not very safe.

The villas were clean and comfortable. The pool outside the patio was a plus and convenient to swim in. You can lounge or eat right by the pool. The large pool was beautiful and clean. Loved to watch the sunset. What I didn’t like was that access to the beach was closed off and there was a lot of construction going on at the time. When we arrived, we asked for large bowls and were told they didn’t have any. The next day we asked to borrow a large skillet and again they said we were only allowed to use what was in the kitchen. I was asking to borrow, not take a skillet. The front desk told me there should be pans in the kitchen, even after I explained that I needed a bigger pan to cook breakfast for my family. Then I was told maid service would be notified and no one ever showed up. They claim to have a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of storage space for kitchen supplies but limit you with small dishes and will not go out of their way to get you the necessities yet you will pay a hefty price to stay here, albeit there were many empty villas. Also, the service at the bar was very slow. It took 20 minutes to get a margarita! Finally, we were not able to connect our Roku to the Wifi. Overall, this would be an excellent place to stay in if they improved their service.

El lugar es lindo y agradable, lastimosamente se fue la luz por un problema general una hora después de nuestra llegada y se demoro en que se restableciera hasta la noche, no pudieron reponernos tiempo por el inconveniente pero nos otorgaron un vale de consumo en restaurante. Falta de instalaciónes cómodas en la playa, un ranchon para sombra, salvavidas, etc.. Pesima idea de tener call center en recepción, no se atiende ni resuelven los problemas del momento. Las instalaciones son muy bonitas, el personal muy amable y servicial. En esta oportunidad no habían suficientes toallas en la villa, tuvimos que pedir más, en la mañana estaban trabajando en el jardín y el ruido era insoportable, y la peor decepción es que quitaron la salida directa al mar. Aun así es un lugar muy bonito y recomendado.

El lugar muy bonito, cómodo y seguro. Pero al hacer el inventario pare recibir la Villa; nos faltó un control de A/C, las ollas en mal estado, un edredón sucio y manchado. El check out nunca fueron por las maletas. NO hicieron limpieza en la habitación y Nos quedamos 3 noches.

Such an amazing experience. Everything from the service, the staff, the impeccably clean grounds and fantastic pools was nothing short of exemplary. We will definitely be back again very soon for a much longer trip. Highly recommended.

Great location, beautiful and well-designed villas, gorgeous clean and private beach. The only downside is that you have to share the pool with other villas (that part is ok) but it is not ok when other guests are being disrespectful and playing loud music after midnight. We told reception but they did nothing about it. You do need to sign a waiver where you acknowledge to be quiet after 10 pm (it said 8 pm but they told me 10 pm afterward) but it seemed to be ignored, by the loud people and the staff. I walked past other villas and they seemed to have the same situation. So, if you want a quiet and relaxing time, I'd probably look elsewhere. If you are booking through Expedia, make sure you call them before arriving to let them know because they don't have a centralized booking system therefore they didn't have our reservation ready and we had to wait to be let in.

La Mar was a nice hotel, great design idea.we loved having our villa patio open up to a pool. It also has a great pool area by the lobby and restaurant. The reception people were polite but did not offer much in regards to what the hotel offers or instructions on how lock your villa or any other info at all. It felt as if the place was new and hadn’t worked out all the kinks. That being said we enjoyed our stay and had a good time relaxing by the pools. Definitely plan to bring your own food items to cook in your villa as there isn’t much around and the main road is very poorly maintained.

Great location, beautiful and well-designed villas, gorgeous clean and private beach. The only downside is that you have to share the pool with other villas (that part is ok) but it is not ok when other guests are being disrespectful and playing loud music after midnight. You do need to sign a waiver where you acknowledge to be quiet after 10 pm (it said 8 pm but they told me 10 pm afterward) but it seemed to be ignored, by the loud people and the staff. I walked past other villas and they seemed to have the same situation. So, if you want a quiet and relaxing time, I'd probably look elsewhere. El lugar es muy bonito, ahora la propiedad está algo descuidada, se observa poco mantenimiento en el mobiliario cercano a la piscina o la terraza y la refrigeradora. Unfortunately the place has changed so much since my last visit and the manager is never able to fix any issues plus the front desk is very cold and cutting to solve any issues. It took us over 4 to get are rooms that the last night it rained so hard that our first floor got flooded and the front desk didn’t even care

La Mar was a nice hotel, great design idea.we loved having our villa patio open up to a pool. It also has a great pool area by the lobby and restaurant. The reception people were polite but did not offer much in regards to what the hotel offers or instructions on how lock your villa or any other info at all. It felt as if the place was new and hadn’t worked out all the kinks. That being said we enjoyed our stay and had a good time relaxing by the pools. Definitely plan to bring your own food items to cook in your villa as there isn’t much around and the main road is very poorly maintained.

The resort is beautiful, breathtaking. The infinity pool was nice and clean, the drinks at the pool bar were great and the staff very nice and friendly. The villa was clean and the beds very confortable, we had a unit that had the pool access and let me tell you it was amazing, just opening the back door and walking a few steps to the pool was great. The only thing is that if you are planning to cook there’s not alot of utensils but to us it wasn’t an issue and we didn’t have hot water in our unit. Will definitely stay here again.
