Lively Beach

Lively Beach used to be one of my favorite resorts in Texas but my last stay was a disappointment. The check-in/check-out is a so clunky. At 4pm, I was still waiting for a code to get into the property and the office didn’t answer. I was out by 10am check out time but didn’t receive any information about checking out electronically until 9pm that night. The resort is showing a lot of wear and tear. I’m sad about it because it’s a really beautiful place.

We loved our stay at Lively Beach. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The property has really nice amenities and the walk to the beach was easy. We would definitely come back here again

The staff was okay, but it felt uncomfortable at times as they would stop what they were doing and just stare when you walked into the main office. I would definitely recommend renting a car because there aren’t any nearby restaurants or a bar, so getting food requires driving or using delivery services. The property itself was pretty disappointing. The floors in the room did not feel clean, which made the stay less enjoyable. While the A/C worked well, the overall condition of the property was not great. The outside appearance looks very run-down, almost like an abandoned apartment complex. The check-in process is very minimal and done through a text message with a code and room number, which might not appeal to everyone. It felt more like a self-service setup where you’re expected to handle things like taking out your own trash and going to the main office for extra supplies like towels or trash bags. Overall, it didn’t feel like a relaxing vacation experience and lacked the comfort and convenience I was expecting.
