Terms and Conditions of Stay – Pequi Hostel Dear Guest, Welcome to your home in Floripa! At Pequi Hostel, we want you to feel at home and have an unforgettable experience. To ensure everything runs smoothly, we kindly ask you to read our terms and conditions carefully. 1. Reservation and Payment: o Confirmation: The reservation will be confirmed upon full or partial payment, as agreed. The partial payment must be at least 50% of the total stay amount, with the remaining balance due at check-in. o Included in the daily rate: The daily rate includes access to common areas, bed linens, and Wi-Fi. o Payment methods: We accept payments in cash, Pix, debit, and credit cards. For international transfers, we accept credit card payments and transfers via Western Union. Payments can be made at check-in or in advance via bank transfer. 2. Cancellation Policies: o Flexible: Guests can cancel free of charge up to 7 days before the arrival date. If canceled within 7 days of arrival, the guest must pay the full booking amount. No shows will be charged the full booking amount. o Non-refundable: Guests must pay the full booking amount if they cancel at any time. No-shows will also be charged the full booking amount. 3. Check-in and Check-out: o Check-in: Check-in starts at 2:00 PM and ends at 10:00 PM. o Early check-in: Early check-in is available from 9:00 AM, subject to availability, and a fee of R$35.00 will be charged if the room is used before the standard check-in time. o Luggage storage: On the day of check-in, guests can store their luggage for free at the hostel from 9:00 AM, when the reception opens. Guests will have access to their room starting at 2:00 PM. o Late check-in: For check-ins after 10:00 PM, prior notice is required. A R$35.00 fee will be charged for late check-ins. If the guest fails to notify and does not check in by the deadline, the booking will be marked as a "no show" and the payment will not be refunded. We do not accept check-ins after midnight. o No-show: If the guest does not check in by the deadline (10:00 PM) without prior notice, the booking will be marked as a "no-show" and the payment will not be refunded. We do not accept check-ins after midnight. o Check-out: Check-out must be completed by 11:00 AM. Late check-outs without prior notice may incur an additional charge equivalent to one night’s stay. o Early check-out: Early check-outs are non-refundable. 4. Accommodation: o Rooms: We offer both private and shared rooms. ▪ Private rooms: Accommodate 1 to 4 guests and include free bed linens, blankets, and bath towels. ▪ Shared rooms: Accommodate up to 8 guests per room. Bed linens (fitted sheet, top sheet, pillow, and pillowcase only; blankets are not provided) are provided free of charge; towels and blankets are available for rent at R$5.00 each valid for the entire duration of the stay. o Cleaning: Shared rooms are cleaned daily, except on Sundays. Bed linens and towels are changed as needed or upon request. o Quiet hours: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. o Events: The hostel organizes regular activities such as barbecues and game nights. 5. House Rules: o Minors: For legal and safety reasons, we do not accept guests under 18 years old, even if accompanied by their parents. If a minor is detected, check-in will be refused, and the payment will not be refunded. o Inappropriate behavior: Pequi Hostel reserves the right to ask guests with inappropriate behavior to leave the property. This includes drunkenness, use of illegal drugs, rude behavior, intimate relations in shared rooms or common areas, disrespect for hostel rules, aggressive behavior, hate speech, racism, sexism, homophobia, and other such conduct. Such behavior may result in immediate cancellation of the stay without a refund. o Alcoholic beverages: Guests are not allowed to bring alcoholic beverages into the hostel. The Pequi Hostel bar operates from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, offering beer and cocktails. A fine of R$100.00 will be charged for violating this rule. o Illegal drugs: The use of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited. A fine of R$100.00 will be charged for violating this rule, and the guest will be required to check out immediately. o Visitors: Non-guests are allowed only in the bar area until 7:00 PM. After this time, a daily fee will be charged to the guest responsible for the visitor. o Smoking: Smoking is prohibited in indoor areas of the hostel. Smoking is allowed in outdoor areas. o Damage to property: Guests are responsible for any damage caused to hostel property and must cover repair costs. 6. Safety: o Cameras and surveillance: The hostel has 24-hour security cameras and nightly surveillance in all common areas to ensure the safety of all guests. o Personal belongings: Guests are advised to use locks on lockers to secure their belongings. The hostel is not responsible for any lost items. We rent locks for R$5.00, valid for the entire duration of the stay. o Lost key: A fee of R$30.00 will be charged for a lost gate key. 7. Miscellaneous: o Pets: Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pets at the property due to having a cat, Pequi. We would love to, but Pequi is the king here, and we are merely his subjects. o Privacy Policy: Guests’ personal data will be used solely for reservation and accommodation purposes, in compliance with the General Data Protection Law (LGPD). We guarantee the confidentiality of your data. o Image rights: By staying at Pequi Hostel, guests automatically grant the right to use images captured during their stay (photos and videos) for promotional materials. If you do not wish for your image to be used, please notify us at check-in or contact us in advance. o Complaints: If you have any complaints or issues, please contact us immediately, and we will do our best to resolve the situation. 8. Liability and Jurisdiction: o Pequi Hostel is not responsible for unforeseen events caused by force majeure (natural disasters, service interruptions by external suppliers). o Any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions will be submitted to the jurisdiction of the Court of Florianópolis, to the exclusion of any other jurisdiction, no matter how privileged it may be.
