The Giri Residence

Fantastic stay at Giri Residence! Hola! Thank you so much for hosting us at the Giri Residence . We had a fantastic stay. The facilities were lovely, and Omar and Lucia were excellent hosts who really made our time there very enjoyable. We stayed in the Bougainvillier suite, and it was amazing. Giri residence is a beautiful mix of Moroccan and Balinese style, very peaceful and romantic. Highly recommend!

We had a great 7-night stay in mid-September at The Giri Residence in the Bougainville suite. ​Highlights: ​Terrace & Views: Exceptional rooftop terrace with private decking, ample seating, and great views over Sant Joan and the countryside. ​Location & Vibe: Ideal central village location near local spots and taxis. Beautiful interior design, peaceful gardens, and relaxing incense give it a homely feel. ​Staff: Barbara, Lucia, and Omar were exceptionally responsive while giving us full privacy. ​Breakfast & Extras: Fresh, high-quality local breakfast plus a handy self-service honesty bar. Great local products available to buy. ​Suggestions for Improvement: ​In-Room Amenities: Fridge space was tight for personal items, and charging €5/bottle for water felt misaligned for the top suite. Bath salts for the freestanding tub would be a lovely touch. ​Breakfast Variety: Well produced and fresh. The menu did feel repetitive over 7 days. ​Upkeep & Maintenance: Minor fixes needed for loose decking, stairwell light bulbs, swimwear drying options, and confusing TV settings. ​Spa Clarification: The online site lists a non-existent sauna (facility currently includes a jacuzzi, cold plunge, and massage room). Expanding amenities would elevate the wellness experience. ​Overall, a lovely stay and somewhere we would gladly return to!

I stayed at The Giri Residence with two friends for four days in mid-July. The hotel and location were gorgeous. We wanted a relaxing stay for a holiday and to celebrate my 40th birthday. While the rooms and hotel were stunning, we felt that customer service was very disappointing. The staff were nice and polite but they were not very attentive. Prior to arrival, I had made hotel staff aware that three of us would be sharing our suite - despite this, they only stocked the room for two people and we had to ask for additional glasses, towels and dressing gown on more than one occasion. When we checked in we didn't receive any information about the hotel, the spa or its facilities / treatments available to us. We weren't told where breakfast would be served or even given a tour of the hotel. Before arrival, I made the hotel aware that I would be celebrating a special birthday and asked if they could recommend any fun activities we could book for the day. I was told that they would discuss suggestions when we arrive - unfortunately, this did not happen. Breakfast was lovely but service was often slow. While the luxury hotel matched the price we paid it wasn't reflected in the customer service.
