I can’t imagine a better location. Everything is just steps out the front door. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Check in/out process was very straightforward with texted instructions. Parking was easy. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location and room. The beds are a little soft for me but fine. Located right over and next to a bar/restaurant but had great insulation so noise was never an issue. Beware - no elevator. I had just had hip surgery but I was able to make it up and down the stairs but I had my sons help with luggage. It would be difficult to get luggage up and down those stairs if you weren’t strong.

liked the room overall. Cute, right on river. floors were not cleaned well, there was hair on the floor in the bathroom. Mattresses and pillows need to be updated, were too soft and felt old. Linens were good and cute stylish room. could hear music from downstairs when I went to bed. We loved the boutique hotel atmosphere with balcony overlooking the Arkansas River. The room was very modern, with all the conveniences working perfectly. There is no "front desk," which worked out OK. There are lots of great restaurants nearby. Reaching the room did involve walking up 2 flights of steep stairs, which could be a deterrent for some.

Fabulous location on the river. Close to bars and restaurants. Very fun decor… well done! It is close to the music scene but we were never bothered by the noise. One flight up, no elevator. Easy checkin. Recommend as the best place to stay in Salina if you are looking for a fun place to stay.

We have stayed at the Manhattan for several years for Spring Break and other celebratory events, loving Salida and the tradition. This year, we stayed in room 5. Unfortunately the room patio bumps up against the patio for the pizza restaurant providing no privacy. The condition of the rooms have significantly declined in the past year with paint chips and damaged walls throughout. We attempted to enjoy the fresh air with the patio opened, there was a horrible smell of sewer gas and the worst part was what appeared to be dried blood spots on the white comforter. This is definitely not the boutique hotel experience we were hoping for and it is absolutely not the hotel it was when it initially opened.

What a nice gem of a hotel in downtown Salida. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and close to everything. We loved our little deck for morning coffee, or afternoon libations. Loved thoughtful amenities, Keurig, microwave, refrigerator, mini Bluetooth speaker, and bath products. Bed was so comfortable! Dined at both the Boathouse and Pizza Rio next door….excellent food! Will stay here again next time I’m in Salida!

Great location, but needs a deep clean and could have chosen less tacky furniture/finishes for the price. Pretty sure they put us in a room we didn’t originally book… No front desk or check-in, with “fend for yourself” closet on site. Was told by the restaurant they wouldn’t take the pizza tokens.

Great location in downtown Salida. Our room had a view of the Arkansas River. The room had been updated fairly recently. It was spacious and unique. The room came with ear plugs and we found out why on Saturday night when we were kept awake by some people nearby who had been having a good time. Also my husband who has back issues found the beds too soft.

Great place and a beautiful room! It was easy to get into with the code, clean, and had a great view of the park and the river. It was also close to restaurants, shops, etc. We ran into property manager, Rusty, who was really helpful in showing us some of the ins and outs and telling us useful information about restaurants. I highly recommend it.

Self service hotel, room was clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Keurig machine, plenty of towels, microwave and mini fridge. The rooms are on the second floor so you must be able to climb a healthy flight of stairs with your bags. Balcony overlooking the river and many shops and restaurants in walking distance.

Awesome place with a balcony overlooking the Arkansas River in the heart of Salida. Easy to find and prompt communication from the staff. It is a "non staffed" hotel but they were responsive and provided all the details we needed to check in and details on the property. You cant find a better location in Salida, its right on the river and in the middle of downtown. Great restaurants, the town square, shopping, etc all within easy walking distance. Cant wait to get back!

It's nor a hotel. There is no reception, you never see anyone. Nobody helps you with anything. I don't understand the great reviews.

I can’t imagine a better location. Everything is just steps out the front door. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Check in/out process was very straightforward with texted instructions. Parking was easy. We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed the on-line check-in, then were lucky to meet owner representative and friendly maintenance person. This is a remarkable location at Arkansas River, downtown and across from park. Rooms are modem, quality furnishings, beds and bathrooms. All good.

We had a great stay at Manhattan Hotel. Perfect location. View of the river and river activities was great from the balcony. Good restaurants in Salida are easily walkable. If you are planning a visit to Salida, be sure to stay here!

Awesome place with a balcony overlooking the Arkansas River in the heart of Salida. Easy to find and prompt communication from the staff. It is a "non staffed" hotel but they were responsive and provided all the details we needed to check in and details on the property. You cant find a better location in Salida, its right on the river and in the middle of downtown. Great restaurants, the town square, shopping, etc all within easy walking distance. Cant wait to get back!

Highly recommend this property; simple, virtual check-in & out process, perfect location overlooking the Arkansas River, steps from restaurants, breweries, coffee shops & a gorgeous park with paved walking paths along the river banks. Clean, new room with fridge, microwave & coffee set-up. Just excellent all around.

Fabulous location on the river. Close to bars and restaurants. Very fun decor… well done! It is close to the music scene but we were never bothered by the noise. One flight up, no elevator. Easy checkin. Recommend as the best place to stay in Salina if you are looking for a fun place to stay.

This place was great. Very clean and updated nicely with great modern flair in what feels like a historic building. It was a little weird to me when I first learned we would not have a front desk for check-in, but then I realized it was just like staying at a VRBO. Room was just as we expected. Large and bright with a great bathroom and a large private balcony above the boathouse cantina, right on the river. Fantastic place for a fall get-away. Oh, also, great food at the connected restaurants which share the same ownership, and don't miss the discount provided to hotel guests. Coffee and breakfast were both great at the shop downstairs immediately below the hotel on the street side.

Loved thoughtful amenities, Keurig, microwave, refrigerator, mini Bluetooth speaker, and bath products. Bed was so comfortable! Dined at both the Boathouse and Pizza Rio next door….excellent food! Will stay here again next time I’m in Salida!

Very convenient for our short trip to Salida! Comfortable beds, clean room, easy to leave the car parked and walk around downtown Salida. Ate and drank at The Boathouse Cantina twice! Bridger our server was awesome!! The entrance is getting a little tired. Nice having coffee in the room (although the coffee choice was not very good, not crazy about the Dunkin’ Donuts coffee) and loved having half & half in the fridge.

We enjoyed our stay here. The room was large and it had a nice little balcony overlooking the Arkansas River and "S" mountain. There is a bar and restaurant just downstairs, as well as an ice cream shop and another bar. We would definitely stay here again.

The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and I really appreciated the variety of pillows available. Check-in was quick and easy, and the location was peaceful and quiet, making for a relaxing stay. The only things keeping this from being a 5-star experience were that there is no elevator—which I wasn’t aware of until we arrived—the entrance is a bit difficult to find, and the nightly rate is comparable to several higher-end hotels in the area that offer more amenities. Overall, I would recommend staying here, especially if you’re aware of these considerations before booking.
