Everland Hotel

This place is a complete bamboozle. It was listed on Expedia that there was a gym. When I arrived, they tell me there isn’t actually a gym there. It was listed that it is beachfront. It in fact is NOT. Also said 5 minute walk with beach access and when I looked it up on maps, that was a lie too. It actually is almost a 30 minute walk to the beach from the property. Do not be fooled like I was. The only thing nice about the property is the rooms and rooftop pool but the view is terrible and the hotel is in a bad area with trash everywhere and no restaurants nearby. I had originally booked a two night stay but once I realized the hotel was not as it was described, I wanted to leave but was forced to stay one night and only given a refund for the second day. Luckily, I found a better hotel that was actually on the beach and in an area with tons of restaurants and entertainment for my second night stay in Da Nang.

Could be a little cleaner. Buffett isn't that good. Not the best neighborhood, but for the price it was fine.

The hotel itself is nice with comfortable beds and a very beautiful view from the pool. My problem comes from its service, which was very poor. Twice I needed to call the hotel reception and it is impossible to do so. When someone does pick up, it sounds like they are taking the call from a rave with thousands of people around them. It is loud and impossible to hear them. The second time this happened they made no effort to take the call in a quieter environment and so I hung up and when I tried to call later, I called six times over the day and no one picked up any of the times. I sent them an email hoping that would work, and it has now been three days and no one has responded to the email which I marked urgent. In the end every issue you have with this hotel must be dealt with in person at the front desk. When we mentioned the safe in the room is locked so we can’t use it, they asked for our room key card and remagnetized it… but the safe uses a code. Communication errors followed by no desire to fix them made this a bad stay and we would look elsewhere next time.
