Just what we were looking for. A clean place to say for the night while traveling. One thing they have that every motel/hotel should have is the extra wide wide parking spaces! Makes loading and unloading much easier and we not fear that someone is going to bang your door in the parking lot.

Its July and real feel 100bdeg. Wind is blowing 30-40 mph gusts. NO ice machine on premises. No vending. Office may not be staffed during day. Key in envelope, with your name on it, in mailbox by front door. Route 66 decor.

Super easy roadside Hotel. Far enough off hwy 40 so it’s very quiet. Hotel staff was super accommodating and friendly. Very cute, and Super clean. Nice bed and clean thick towels. Would definitely recommend. I work in the tv/film business and this is the exact kind of place that would be chosen for a movie set highway hotel.

The tub/shower was filthy. A trickle of water in the shower. My husband had to overhaul the toilet to get it to flush. Dog food all over the floor. We don't have pets. When we got to the motel lobby was locked had to wait 20 minutes for anyone to get there to check us in

This is an older motel that doesn't look like much from the outside, but my room was nice and clean, it was decorated quaintly, everything worked like it was supposed to, and I slept well. I'd highly recommend staying here if you're looking for an inexpensive place to spend the night while driving across the Panhandle.

Great Route 66 Vintage Property. We could tell they had Fun decorating the room! The Room we stayed in was extra spacious. We enjoyed the microwave popcorn too! Thanks for a pleasant stay!

This icon motel along Route 66 has been nicely remodeled with rooms decorated in good taste with a vanity dresser/ mirror. Room 12, the Marilyn Monroe, has a King bed, retro style microwave, wide range of shows on TV, coffee maker, Mr. Heater and refrig. It is located far enough off I40 to give you peace at night yet easy off and on access back to travel

Our room was the best we've had on the entire time on Route 66. It was a lovely kitchenette with very nice art prints on the wall, by Renoir, deGas and Picasso. We sat outside on the chairs that every room had and enjoyed the beautiful weather.

Was very skeptical about the place when booking, but honestly turned out way better than anticipated! Place was clean, amenities were great and the staff was nice. Check in was easy and the room, two bedroom, was very spacious! It had a western theme to it, which we loved and overall was totally worth it. Would definitely recommend staying here if you need to stop somewhere through the tip of texas!

The room was poorly insulated which made it noisy. The back wall was freezing to the touch. The bed and bedding were low quality and the facility itself was run down. To e internet was very slow On the plus side, it was clean and the staff was efficient and kind.

We have now stayed at Cactus Inn twice and have enjoyed both our stays! Each room is unique and decorated for Route 66. On our first stay, my daughter left her large fuzzy blanket and they willingly held it for us (and washed it) until we stayed again a month later. The staff is kind and exceptional!

The room was amazing. All new, clean and stylish. Bottled water for convenience. The lady who runs the place was very helpful and we also had a nice chat. I would absolutely recommend to stay there.

We were "underwhelmed" when we got our first glimpse of the Cactus Inn. The exterior is not impressive, but our room was very clean and comfortable. It had a refrigerator AND a microwave which is rare in the budget hotels. We were even provided with complimentary bottled water and microwave popcorn! The steakhouse right next door was outstanding as well (good thing, since there were no other restaurants open at 8PM!)

I was a little concerned when I saw a small, independent hotel in a tiny little town, but it was nicer than a lot of much more expensive hotels. It's a short walk to an excellent steakhouse, too.

Convenient and historic Route 66 hotel. It was OK but I wouldn't want to stay two nights. One was fine, but very low water pressure and only one place in the little town to eat. I'm glad I stayed there but I might go down the road next time.

A quaint 50’s era motel on Historic Route 66, a short drive from Interstate 40. A nice taste of yesteryear with a great steak restaurant a short walk away. Restaurant staff was exceptionally pleasant and promptly served. A great stay at an exceptionally low price.

This is my second time there! I love this particular inn because of its location to McClean, Tx. I can see both museums. The New Taphouse and Red River Restaurant. All of these locations are amazing and very friendly.

Quaint Route 66 motor hotel we had room 11 which was large, with a sofa and tv as well as a small coffee prep area, and table with chairs, along with full bath and king bed. There is a small refrigerator and a microwave in the prep area. Tile floor and wall Mounted AC unit. All in working order. Next door is a steak house with many selections and it’s a short walk into town where there is a cafe and bar.

Nice isolated location. Room decor compliments the Route 66 era. Restaurant is short walking distance. Heater did make a noise which I informed the manager. Showered the Cactus Inn little mascot kitty with love and food.

We were "underwhelmed" when we got our first glimpse of the Cactus Inn. The exterior is not impressive, but our room was very clean and comfortable. I was a little concerned when I saw a small, independent hotel in a tiny little town, but it was nicer than a lot of much more expensive hotels. It's a short walk to an excellent steakhouse, too.

Convenient and historic Route 66 hotel. It was OK but I wouldn't want to stay two nights. One was fine, but very low water pressure and only one place in the little town to eat. I'm glad I stayed there but I might go down the road next time.

Stayed because it was an older mom and pop with that Route 66 retro feel. Bed and room clean, dated. Some things could have used a good scrub or paint. Great steakhouse next door. Was a fun adventure!

A quaint 50’s era motel on Historic Route 66, a short drive from Interstate 40. A nice taste of yesteryear with a great steak restaurant a short walk away. Restaurant staff was exceptionally pleasant and promptly served. A great stay at an exceptionally low price.

This is my second time there! I love this particular inn because of its location to McClean, Tx. I can see both museums. The New Taphouse and Red River Restaurant. All of these locations are amazing and very friendly.

Quaint Route 66 motor hotel we had room 11 which was large, with a sofa and tv as well as a small coffee prep area, and table with chairs, along with full bath and king bed. There is a small refrigerator and a microwave in the prep area. Tile floor and wall Mounted AC unit. All in working order. Next door is a steak house with many selections and it’s a short walk into town where there is a cafe and bar.

Nice isolated location. Room decor compliments the Route 66 era. Restaurant is short walking distance. Heater did make a noise which I informed the manager. Showered the Cactus Inn little mascot kitty with love and food.

I read all the reviews before booking and most were good. I felt it wasn’t as clean as I was lead to believe. Everything from the beds to the decor was old and worn out. The floors were painted cement and didn’t appear to be clean. I only brought in my night clothes into the room. I got my clean clothes out of my car in the morning. I also didn’t feel comfortable taking a shower. If I could have gotten my money back, I would have gone to another hotel/motel. If you’re hungry, don’t bother going to the truck stop restaurant down the road. I had the chicken fingers, they were so hard I couldn’t eat them. The hostess was very nice. So, if you’re looking for a vintage motel with a vintage interior then this is the place for you.

Second stay in a month. Cute, old fashioned “motor lodge”. Rooms are individually decorated, with a fridge and microwave. Comfy beds. A/C was great! Nothing fancy, but if you’re looking for the Ritz, this is not the place for you! I would definitely stay here again.

Room was cool during the hot temperatures, beds comfortable, with a nice size fridge for whatever you needed to keep cold. Overall a very pleasant experience.

The room was spotless! Manager was very friendly and gave us directions to a local restaurant, which had great food. Parking at the inn was perfect, each guest had a spot in front of the assigned room. If we ever pass through this way again, we would definitely stay at the Cactus Inn again.
