Well... I booked for a room on the pool side - more expensive but useful in Cairo if you don't fancy the noise of horns and cars at 3 am... But when I arrived I was in a room on the street side. Discussing with staff was... complicated and I got the room I paid for only the second night. Service is somewhat random. Sometimes very helpful, and trying their best. But then you find that there is no towel in the room. Or that no water was provided on one day... Cannot really blame the staff - it's more a management issue, really. Oh - and of course, book directly with the hotel. The price on websites such as booking is about twice what you can get with a direct phone call...

Cleaners didn’t bother cleaning properly and didn’t replace towels, slippers etc. bedding wasn’t change even though I asked them to. Breakfast was average and was the same everyday but staff were lovely and the location was great everything is on your doorstep I don’t think I will be staying here again

My stay at Jewel Zamalek Hotel was overall pleasant and fair for its category. It’s an older hotel and not a 5-star property, but it’s also far from being a bad or poor hotel. I would consider it a solid mid-range option. The cleanliness was good, and the rooms were well maintained. The staff were very good—friendly, professional, and helpful throughout the stay. The breakfast is not 5-star, but it is good and appropriate for the hotel’s standard. What really makes up for everything else is the excellent location in Zamalek, which is close to cafés, restaurants, and many attractions. If you’re not looking for luxury but want a comfortable, well-located, mid-level hotel with good service, this is a reasonable choice.

Clean room and the staff were really friendly.
