A house from the 1800's, a true Bed and Breakfast, nicely furnished with ample Parlour and Living Room areas to peruse many books or play games. The two breakfasts we had were both wonderful, and sitting and talking with other visitors was the best part. No TV's, bravo! Walking areas outside the door, wonderful porch to sit on, a very relaxed setting. Menomonie is small so nothing is very far away. Well done, Stephanie!

Adorable B&B that was beautifully renovated. Stephanie is an wonderful host and the breakfasts were beyond amazing! We enjoyed sitting in the screened in porch in the evening reading. It was very relaxing and a nice place to unwind after spending the day at a funeral.

We enjoyed a wonderful one night stay at the facility. Immediately upon entry you will oberve the care and effort to restore the home to it's historic past. The bedroom was comfortable and well appointed. Each room of the house has a historic charm. We are a couple that have stayed at many bed and breakfast facilities and this one is at the top of our list. While there don't forget to spend some time relaxing in the large screened in porch!

A beautiful new bathroom was a nice feature too. We were really pleased with the freshly baked breakfast we were served, expecting the more common "continental breakfast" we've so often had a B&Bs. Our host was friendly, helpful and shared some of the fascinating history of the house and some of the furnishings. We really hope to return and enjoy another of the beautifully appointed room in the future.

I had a fantastic stay at this beautiful property. Stephanie is doing a wonderful job, I loved the design and vision, the history of the house and her passion for preserving and sharing it. The experience at Oaklawn Inn was a lot better than expected. The room and the whole building were clean, organized, in good repair, and decorated beautifully. I was surprised by the number of books available on the numerous bookshelves. The area was quiet, which is important if you want to relax away from the noise of a big city. The best part of our stay was the discussions we had with the innkeeper. Stephanie is friendly, informative, cosmopolitan, and an excellent conversationalist. Both mornings, after enjoying an elaborate and tasty breakfast, we spent two hours (yes, two hours) discussing a large number of interesting topics. On the second day, we were lucky to have another guest participate, which made the experience even better. If you travel in the area, I think that staying at Oaklawn Inn might be your best choice!

Greeted warmly by owner, Stephanie, who made us feel right at home. Happily explained the history of the home and the area around. Beautifully appointed rooms and furnishings. This is a beautiful, historic B&B. Stephanie was very welcoming and gave me a wonderful history of both the inn and the city. The inn is wonderfully restored and beautiful. My room is luxurious and comfortable. My only regret is not being able to stay longer.

Everything about this experience was lovely! Stephanie was a wonderful host and her breakfasts were delicious. She also had an exquisite attention to detail and extensive knowledge of local history. The house was gorgeous and perfectly restored. Comfortable bed, bathroom, and a beautiful room!

The Oaklawn definitely exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed several hours on the screen porch relaxing and watching the sunset. My room was beautiful and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and I enjoyed talking with the other couples who were staying there. I could not say enough about how pleased I was with the whole experience

I had a wonderful stay at Oaklawn Inn recently. I came to Menomonie to attend a concert at the Mabel Tainter Memorial Theater. I decided to keep with a theme and stay at Oaklawn Inn, since it was also built by Andrew Tainter the same year as the theater. I was warmly welcomed by the innkeeper, Stephanie. She shared a wealth of information about the history of the property and the Menomonie area in general. My accommodations (the gold room) were outstanding. I felt as though I had been transported back to the 1890s but with modern amenities and comfort. The next morning, Stephanie prepared a delicious breakfast for me, and we had another chat about history. She was very respectful of my time and didn't want to burden me with too many details. I assured her that I appreciated all this information and welcomed more. Stephanie explained all the restoration that she had done to the property. Her attention to detail is impressive. I highly recommend a stay at Oaklawn Inn for anyone visiting Menomonie or anyone interested in the history of our state. You won't be disappointed!

Oaklawn is a beautiful historic house, immaculately maintained, and spotlessly clean. Stephanie is an amazing host and she serves up a delicious breakfast. I highly recommend this property, it had everything I want in a bed and breakfast.

A house from the 1800's, a true Bed and Breakfast, nicely furnished with ample Parlour and Living Room areas to peruse many books or play games. The two breakfasts we had were both wonderful, and sitting and talking with other visitors was the best part. No TV's, bravo! Walking areas outside the door, wonderful porch to sit on, a very relaxed setting. Menomonie is small so nothing is very far away. Well done, Stephanie!

The experience at Oaklawn Inn was a lot better than expected. The room and the whole building were clean, organized, in good repair, and decorated beautifully. I was surprised by the number of books available on the numerous bookshelves. The area was quiet, which is important if you want to relax away from the noise of a big city. The best part of our stay was the discussions we had with the innkeeper. Stephanie is friendly, informative, cosmopolitan, and an excellent conversationalist. Both mornings, after enjoying an elaborate and tasty breakfast, we spent two hours (yes, two hours) discussing a large number of interesting topics. On the second day, we were lucky to have another guest participate, which made the experience even better. If you travel in the area, I think that staying at Oaklawn Inn might be your best choice!

The Oaklawn definitely exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed several hours on the screen porch relaxing and watching the sunset. My room was beautiful and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and I enjoyed talking with the other couples who were staying there. I could not say enough about how pleased I was with the whole experience

I had a wonderful stay at Oaklawn Inn recently. I came to Menomonie to attend a concert at the Mabel Tainter Memorial Theater. I decided to keep with a theme and stay at Oaklawn Inn, since it was also built by Andrew Tainter the same year as the theater. I was warmly welcomed by the innkeeper, Stephanie. She shared a wealth of information about the history of the property and the Menomonie area in general. My accommodations (the gold room) were outstanding. I felt as though I had been transported back to the 1890s but with modern amenities and comfort. The next morning, Stephanie prepared a delicious breakfast for me, and we had another chat about history. She was very respectful of my time and didn't want to burden me with too many details. I assured her that I appreciated all this information and welcomed more. Stephanie explained all the restoration that she had done to the property. Her attention to detail is impressive. Stephanie has done an amazing job of restoring this Victorian home to it's former glory. It's beautiful and comfortable. Stephanie is an excellent hostess offering hot beverages & snacks anytime and a wonderful gormet breakfast in the morning. She also has a nice collection of stories & pictures of her home, the former owners and history of the area. I can highly recommend staying here.

Adorable B&B that was beautifully renovated. Stephanie is an wonderful host and the breakfasts were beyond amazing! We enjoyed sitting in the screened in porch in the evening reading. It was very relaxing and a nice place to unwind after spending the day at a funeral.

Oaklawn Inn was a delight to stay at. Stephanie, the owner, is wonderful at sharing the history of the house. The beds are very comfortable, shower pressure is great and breakfast is delicious. Don't hesitate to book a room at the Oaklawn Inn if it is available- you won't be disappointed.

Beautifully restored B&B. The inn keeper is very friendly and accommodating. She made my daughter a peanut and tree nut free vegan breakfast. We will definitely stay there again if we are in the area.

A very nice home with a nice person running th establishment. She stopped by the house and let us in. Gave us a quick tour. Room was clean and comfortable. No TV but speedy WiFi. Breakfast was ok. My wife was vegetarian and the host was very receptive. I felt a little bad because we all received vegetarian since she was. There was one mother with her you my daughter also. Our meal consisted of cream of wheat with blueberries and pancakes with bananas on top. It was good but nothing exceptional. All in all, it was well worth the price. I would stay there again if I was passing through and was looking for a nice quiet stay in a clean room with a complimentary breakfast.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much! The setting was so peaceful and we particularly appreciated the screened in porch both morning and night. Our room had absolutely everything one might need. We felt right at home!

Stephanie is absolutely delightful! Wonderful knowledge of the community and the history of Oaklawn Inn and Menominee in general. This is a charming and thoughtful bed-and-breakfast. Speaking of breakfast… it was great! A special bonus is the large wraparound screen porch with lots of comfortable seating. We will be back in September and we’re going to book now.

Stephanie is absolutely delightful! Wonderful knowledge of the community and the history of Oaklawn Inn and Menominee in general. This is a charming and thoughtful bed-and-breakfast. Speaking of breakfast… it was great! A special bonus is the large wraparound screen porch with lots of comfortable seating. We will be back in September and we’re going to book now.
