La Calma Poshtel

When I arrived in the hotel the AC was on but It was not working.I tried to get in contact with the hotel number and staff and no one answered.I also left a message to see if anyone could help me ot even change room since it was very hot and nothing.My wife and I was very disappointed and we sleeped in a very hot room after a long trip.I would not recommend people to stay in the hotel since no one was helpful.All the numbers and yet no response to get a better service.I will not come back.The bathroom was not private as it stated on the app when I reserved it.I felt I was not getting what I searched for.

I definitely felt a bit deceived by the images posted. The downstairs bar was never open. The sheets had stains on them. By 10:20am housekeeping was knocking on the door stating its check-out time (check-out is at 11:00am). If you are just seeking a budget friendly, little to no amenities, a place to crash, near a few local/fun restaurants and bars within walking distance. Then you'll be ok with La Calma.

Clean room, cold AC, hot water, and bed was fine. However, surrounding areas are quite bad. Public housing across the street make parking sketchy and two homeless men were out front going in and then going out. They weren’t aggressive but still made a couple feel uncomfortable.

We never checked in because the exterior and the location looked horrible!!! Trash on the sidewalk at the entrance of the property! We didn’t even bother going in as we we could see bags of what seemed to be trash behind the metal entrance gate/door. We had the Uber driver take us straight to a different hotel! I have dealt with Expedia for many years, this is the first time my husband and I have been so disappointed. We’re so sorry for wasting our money!

Not as pictured , horrible area . homeless folks use the front of this building as a home 👍
