Ok, this is a low cost hotel so i should take that into account and i do. Good: Room comes with stove; microwave and other extended stay items. BAD: Put guest with cane into the farthest away room. Several buckets in the hallway collecting water drops from ceiling and it wasnt raining. A stairway leading from rooms to front area visably had carpet and lineing was loose and crumbling

$3.25 to wash and dry your clothes was a bonus. I wish they would mix up the breakfast food. I stayed four days and eggs and sausage every morning. How about some biscuits and gravy?

They dont tell you when booking there is no cleaning services. The breakfast was lame. Mcdonalds is better. Tripped on stairway edge trim which clearly was old damage. Toilet paper hanger was broken. Tv free servwas not working.people sleeping in cars in the parking lot. Smoke in t he halways due to a fire nearby and i was surprised the smoke detector s did not go off.

Right off the interstate, very convenient. Parking is pretty good. Room is nice, shower and sink need re-caulked but otherwise good amenities. Oh and one of the lamps flickers constantly when on, so it stayed off. Having an actual cooktop and full size refrigerator were nice pluses for the room

Easy parking and nice lobby and that's about it. Poor cleaning of room. Floor was dirty and obviously hadn't been vacuumed. The freezer had some kind of jelly looking like substance in it. Hair on the sheets! Short black hair and long hair! Microwave had something smeared on the front of it. Overall very disappointed!

No internet; no television; no shampoo or soap in bathroom; the computers or something was down and only 1 key card "master" card available. The parking lot needs attention and a leaky roof with a bucket in the hall was there all weekend. Towels are very thin, should give more than 1 per person per room.

Know that there were approximately 6 steps to get access to first floor rooms. Not sure about other floors. Nice having full refridge, micro, stove top, dishwasher and sink in “kitchen”. Stocked with dishes, etc. Full sized beds were comfortable in double bed room. Quiet. Safe neighborhood. Breakfast consisted on carbs - waffles, oatmeal, muffins, pastries, yogurt, apples, apple and orange juice. Updated, clean.

This Hotel was very comfortable. The room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was fantastic. They had hot eggs and sausages. The hotel has some major water leaks but our room was dry.

We stayed here cause it was close enough to downtown without downtown prices. It was just ok. The layout is a bit strange it almost feels like a hospital in there. The shower was quite dirty. And one of the pillows had a weird orange stain. Breakfast was more continental- fresh waffles with other option like some fruit and yogurt. Thankfully we only stayed a few days. Would not recommend for a longer stay.

I had super high hopes for this hotel and picked it based on the rating and spent the extra money, getting a nice hotel for the long stay i had. Everything seemed okay to the naked eye when i walked in. Got all my things unpacked and settled, started to make my dinner and sat doen for the night. Then i noticed the floor. It hasnt been vacuumed. Okay.. not awful. Then i smelled something a little sour. Looking all over. Looked under the bed. And omg. There is SO MUCH garbage and trash. There was also a ton of old grapes scattered every where. Then obviously with food on the ground, there were bugs. Dead bugs. Started cleaning up the gross stuff so there wouldn't be more bugs or smells. Theres also a giant spider web in the corner, floor to the wall. Clearly hasnt been touched in a long time. I let her be. Cleaning up some of the dishes and open the dishwasher.... it doesnt look like anyone has opened that in weeks. The dirty old dishes were covereddddddd in mold. Closed that right up, out of sight, out of mind. I wanted to complain the next morning and get a new room , but i was unpacked and settled and had to be up and out very early. Luckily, the first morning i was able to get to breakfast and they had everything available. The next morning, there were no eggs or sausage. Ugh. I drink LOTS of coffee. On the weekends, they dont offer breakfast until 7am. I had to leave before then, which is fine, but i think they should still offer coffee to guests.

Absolutely amazing hotel. I don’t know why their rating is low. We got there and the staff was super friendly, got checked in and in our room in less than 5 minutes. The room was super clean and huge! A double bed room that included a stovetop, full size fridge/freezer, coffe maker, toaster, sink, and dishwasher. Dishes included too! Absolutely phenomenal for the price paid. Will definitely be back the next time we head down this way.

The property was fine. We just needed a place to crash on a long drive. The check-in was fine. The front desk staff was nice. Our only issue was that the room we were given already had people in it!!

Arrived around 10 pm and waited for at least 5 minutes to be greeted by someone to check us in. The room looked nice when we got there with fridge, microwave, ministove, etc. The next morning when we woke up we realized the toilet wouldn't flush 100 percent. Notified the front desk around 6:00 am of the issue. Told me housekeeping would take care of it when they arrived at 8 am. We left for the day at 7:30 am. Came back to around 6 pm and the room key didn't work. Because of the line and only one person working took us about 20 minutes to get a new room key. Once back in our room we realized the toilet still hadn't been fixed and housekeeping never came. Went back to the front desk to let them know and were told that housekeeping had left for the day. They put us in a different room. This room was right next to the side exit. All night long we heard people coming and going and got zero sleep. It was so bad that we decided to leave a day early. Upon checking out we were told no refund was available due to us using Hotels.com to book. Perfectly fine with that just don't want others wasting thier money here.

Would have been better to sleep at a road side rest area! Half roll of toilet paper , only decaf coffee in room , the television kept buffering and could not watch anything, the electric went off twice. Went down to front desk and asked what was going on. The man working front desk said it would be an hour and a half before back on. He told us nothing he could do call the city! Since we need to be at our destination in only a few hours I was very frustrated and asked why hotel across the street have electricity we should have stayed there! He then told me you can! And when going back to my room he yelled down the hall what’s your room number so I can check you out! Rude and not at all professional. My family and I will never stay at your hotels again. Not because of no fault of the hotel the electricity was out but because of the rudeness and the room itself.

Because I had a local address, I was charged an unexpected $600 deposit that took 5 days to be returned into my account. This was not communicated during the booking process. The hotel itself was great for the price. Clean, quiet, bed was comfortable, bathrooms are huge. Staff could have been a little less condescending when I was questioning the unexpected deposit.

Friendly staff however, overbooked, waited twenty to thirty minutes to make arrangements for a room. Went to our room and got settled. Knock on the door that they had to switch us to another room.

Right off the interstate, very convenient. Parking is pretty good. Room is nice, shower and sink need re-caulked but otherwise good amenities. Oh and one of the lamps flickers constantly when on, so it stayed off. Having an actual cooktop and full size refrigerator were nice pluses for the room

We stopped in Lexington from eastern Tennessee in route to Indianapolis got the eclipse. We are traveling with our 30 lb poodle mix. Main Stay was perfect location for our needs. The room had a kitchenette with microwave, 2 burner electric cooktop & full size fridge. We loved the fridge since my dog eats Farmer’s Dog which needs refrigeration & food for our trip, anticipating large crowds in Indy. The beds and bedding were extremely comfortable and the room had recently been renovated so it was nice and new and clean. For all these reasons, it was most definitely a 5 star hotel!

Know that there were approximately 6 steps to get access to first floor rooms. Not sure about other floors. Nice having full refridge, micro, stove top, dishwasher and sink in “kitchen”. Stocked with dishes, etc. Full sized beds were comfortable in double bed room. Quiet. Safe neighborhood. Breakfast consisted on carbs - waffles, oatmeal, muffins, pastries, yogurt, apples, apple and orange juice. Updated, clean.

The hotel was clean and in good repair. Breakfast was good. I'd stay here again. It was a great value. The only downside was that it is built in a sprawling L shape and our room was as far from the lobby as you could get. Fortunately we were able to park near a rear door that made the walk to the room much better.

I didn’t ever use the free breakfast because it was just lot of sugary carbs, and the coffee wasn’t too great, but other than that it was Exactly what i needed, not fancy but just about perfect in every other way. Nice little kitchen too!

This Hotel was very comfortable. The room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was fantastic. They had hot eggs and sausages. The hotel has some major water leaks but our room was dry.

This property worked out just fine for our needs as we were in town for a few days to help our daughter with a move and just really needed a place to sleep. All hotels were pretty pricey since it was during Keenland's Spring Meet but the Mainstay Suites was relatively affordable in comparison. The property (combined with Quality Inn) is quite large but very quiet and staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast options are limited so we didn't really take advantage of that other than coffee. However, the dining area is quite large and was very clean. We would definitely stay again when in the area.

I had super high hopes for this hotel and picked it based on the rating and spent the extra money, getting a nice hotel for the long stay i had. Everything seemed okay to the naked eye when i walked in. Got all my things unpacked and settled, started to make my dinner and sat doen for the night. Then i noticed the floor. It hasnt been vacuumed. Okay.. not awful. Then i smelled something a little sour. Looking all over. Looked under the bed. And omg. There is SO MUCH garbage and trash. There was also a ton of old grapes scattered every where. Then obviously with food on the ground, there were bugs. Dead bugs. Started cleaning up the gross stuff so there wouldn't be more bugs or smells. Theres also a giant spider web in the corner, floor to the wall. Clearly hasnt been touched in a long time. I let her be. Cleaning up some of the dishes and open the dishwasher.... it doesnt look like anyone has opened that in weeks. The dirty old dishes were covereddddddd in mold. Closed that right up, out of sight, out of mind. I wanted to complain the next morning and get a new room , but i was unpacked and settled and had to be up and out very early. Luckily, the first morning i was able to get to breakfast and they had everything available. The next morning, there were no eggs or sausage. Ugh. I drink LOTS of coffee. On the weekends, they dont offer breakfast until 7am. I had to leave before then, which is fine, but i think they should still offer coffee to guests.

Was not able to get into room until 30 mins after our check in time. Rooms very out dated and small. Women's bathroom in lobby out of order. Furniture not clean. Maintenance does not work on the weekends. Staff not friendly at all. Was in the lobby to get towels and guy in front of us said they checked him into a room and there was someone already in it. He scanned the key card and they met him at the door. Would not stay here again. I think it was the worst i had ever been in.

The faucet on the bathroom sink was loose in the fixture, making it difficult to use. We did "make do", and I did report it to the front desk when we checked out. Everything else was just fine...
