Beautiful hotel with very attentive staff. Amazing food in the buffet restaurant, both breakfast and dinner. Pools beautiful but not heated. In mid April, they were chilly and the water on the beach warmer (there is no private beach and the beach is fairly dirty, but nevertheless enjoyable). The kids enjoyed the kids club for a day, especially the video games! Even our 11 year old had fun. Overall, highly recommended!

Had a great, relaxing time. The interior courtyard is fantastic and the pool area was tranquil. We did stay towards the end of November and beleive it was quieter than the usual season, which certainly helped with the peacefulness. The concierge team were incredibly helpful, Ayoub provided some fantastic assitance and the front office team were also incredibly helpful and pleasant. I didn't quite catch her name but it may have been Soumia? We did find that there were very limited vegan options so had to eat away from the hotel for most meals

The hotel is OK looking quite dated once you leave the lobby area. The lifts are small and old. The rooms are not soundproof or carpeted so you hear every bang and scape, why hotels don't put those cork bottoms on furniture amazes me. The beds are old and really soft. The breakfast is good as is the pool area but it is not heated.

Hotel incroyable avec une superbe deco Personnel aux petits soins, vraiment rien à dire. La piscine est magnifique! Le petit déjeuner excellent Tout est parfait à part les chambres qui mériteraient un petit rafraichissement : petit problème de chasse d’eau, television tres vieille, peu de prises electriques et mal placées (derriere le lit : il faut débrancher une lumière pour pouvoir charger son telephone ce qui reduit pas mal la luminisite de la piece …)

We went in October as a family of three with a 2 year old staff we’re all so kind and friendly the whole week. Welcomed with Moroccan tea which was delicious. The weather was perfect not too hot but still warm enough to lie out. The sunbeds are so comfortable like big double beds and spaced out so it feels like a more chic resort. Towards the end of our week was half term and it became a little more challenging to get a bed as the hotel was busier but we still found somewhere to sit. Cool is cold but we didn’t mind that especially when it’s so warm. Fresh towels everyday. Mostly French people staying in the hotel it was a very calm and relaxing vibe. Drinks were the same price as a city in the UK as was food. Breakfast and dinner were included for us and both delicious lots of variety, very fresh and no upset tummies. We asked to be moved to a run with a balcony or patio as we booked without by mistake and with a toddler needed somewhere to sit in the evening, the staff got us moved which was really kind. Lovely little biscuits and coffee in your room and water everyday. We didn’t use room service I’m not sure this is even available. Beach was lovely a lot of local schools using it for sports which we liked it was nice watching local children enjoy some football. Local shops have some basic bits but I’d bring everything you need. Robes, slippers, soap all in the room. If you want a “fly and flop” and not too bothered about seeing actual Morocco this is a great option.

First time in Agadir and first time in Morocco. Had an absolutely wonderful time at the Sofitel. All the staff were very polite and helpful. The pool area is beautiful, and the hotel has its own beach area looking out onto the promenade with a sea view. The nearest shops and other restaurants are a bit or a walk but you don’t really need to leave the hotel. Souk El Had was a 50MAD taxi ride away. There was lots of options at the breakfast buffet- I’m missing the fresh bread! Would definitely stay again for a relaxing holiday.

This was my second and last stay at Sofitel, unfortunately it wasn’t like the last time I stayed here. Firstly like last time and all the other hotels around the stretch there’s no private beach anymore. Breakfast was included in the stay and was until 10:30 in weekdays and 11:00 on the weekends. However after 9:30 most of the items were finished and staff blatantly refused to get any for you by saying sorry croissants are finished orange juice is finished. If you are unable to replenish breakfast items after 9:30 perhaps you should keep the timing till 9:30. Poolside food is way too expensive topping it with rude staff. Won’t be returning and would not recommend

Hotel unfinished. Work being carried out whilst there. Facilities advertised not available or even complete. Some staff were excellent however the managers were not. Appalling in fact. I feel Like I have spent a considerable amount of money on a service that was lacking in almost every department. Rooms were clean, but not stocked with the necessities.

Bel Hôtel du bord de plage d'Agadir,équipe très sympathique,et très serviable en particulier au restaurant,à la piscine , à la conciergerie,sans oublier toutes les femmes de menage. Très jolie reception,petit déjeuner délicieux et buffet du diner exceptionnel(toutes les boissons sont payantes y compris l'eau),chambre avec vue océan sans balcon cependant literie très confortable,propreté irréprochable.

Chaque membre du personnel est aux petits soins, anticipant nos besoins avec une grande discrétion et une véritable volonté de faire plaisir. Mention spéciale à Mehdi, qui a été remarquable tout au long du séjour. Terrible Experience – Definitely Not 5-Star Quality We arrived at the hotel expecting a smooth check-in at 3:00 PM, as clearly stated in the booking confirmation. However, the room wasn’t ready until 5:30 PM – over 2.5 hours of waiting with no proper explanation or apology. The staff were rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful, showing no urgency or concern for guest comfort. The hotel does not reflect 5-star standards in any way – in fact, it doesn’t even meet the expectations of a 3-star. The rooms were outdated, worn down, and frankly, dirty. Carpets stained, bathroom not properly cleaned, and a general lack of maintenance throughout. The pool area was just as disappointing – most of the sunbeds were broken or heavily worn, and there was an overall feeling of neglect. This place has clearly not been updated or properly managed in years. For the price and brand name, this was a huge letdown. Would not recommend and will not be returning. There are far better hotels in the same area that actually value their guests and maintain basic standards of hospitality.

Horrible séjour, ils nous ont donné des chambres usées et anciennes. Il y avait des odeurs d’égouts et surtout des cafards. Incroyable dans un sofitel! Seules consolations : le personnel est très sympathique et serviable.

Hotel unfinished. Work being carried out whilst there. Facilities advertised not available or even complete. Some staff were excellent however the managers were not. Appalling in fact. I feel Like I have spent a considerable amount of money on a service that was lacking in almost every department. Rooms were clean, but not stocked with the necessities.

Bel Hôtel du bord de plage d'Agadir,équipe très sympathique,et très serviable en particulier au restaurant,à la piscine , à la conciergerie,sans oublier toutes les femmes de menage. Très jolie reception,petit déjeuner délicieux et buffet du diner exceptionnel(toutes les boissons sont payantes y compris l'eau),chambre avec vue océan sans balcon cependant literie très confortable,propreté irréprochable.

Beautiful hotel, the bed was comfortable and the rooms keep noise out. Nice bathroom. ( rooms did vary, some rooms had been modernise, whereas others did not). Staff were very accommodating, our initial room had an ocean view but was next to the next hotel which is having construction done on it. We explained that we had a baby and it was impacting his sleep, they transferred us to a new room as soon as one became available. The new room was more morden. Staff were really friendly and went the extra mile to greet my baby and speak with him. Both breakfast and dinner were really nice. ( good quality, fresh food with plenty of options). At dinner drinks are not included ( soft drinks as well as water ) which was disappointing. Overall really enjoyed our stay, would come back again.

This property was excellent and we loved our time here. The breakfast was brilliant and had a good range and staff were very helpful! The hotel smelt amazing and was very clean and the pool and spaces to relax are awesome. Only downside is the bathrooms do not have a douche and the showers were problematic where it would be hot water then suddenly change to cold and then back to boiling hot. Also this hotel is slightly away from the main strip with restaurants (walking distance approx 1 hr) however, you can easily take a cab there for approx £4 pounds. Overall we loved our stay here and it was excellent!

Really bad experience! I booked a specific category of room and when I arrived late at night they had already checked in a big group so they didn’t have my room category but yet didn’t try to make anything to make it up to me. I booked a double room with a pool view and ended up with a room with no balcony over looking a construction site! I informed Expedia and they tried calling the hotel but no one answered them! I woke up in the morning and left but came back at 4pm to the hotel and I’m at my big surprise the room wasn’t done. I saw a housekeeper and asked why my room wasn’t done yet and she said sorry we have a big group coming we had to prioritize the arrivals. I again informed Expedia but no one answered them! The hotel is outdated everything is old, the tv’s are at least 15 years old and they didn’t even have an espresso machine in the room Definitely overpriced for the extremely poor experience that we had with no manager whatsoever who tried to apologize or try to make our stay better

Terrible Experience – Definitely Not 5-Star Quality We arrived at the hotel expecting a smooth check-in at 3:00 PM, as clearly stated in the booking confirmation. However, the room wasn’t ready until 5:30 PM – over 2.5 hours of waiting with no proper explanation or apology. The staff were rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful, showing no urgency or concern for guest comfort. The hotel does not reflect 5-star standards in any way – in fact, it doesn’t even meet the expectations of a 3-star. The rooms were outdated, worn down, and frankly, dirty. Carpets stained, bathroom not properly cleaned, and a general lack of maintenance throughout. The pool area was just as disappointing – most of the sunbeds were broken or heavily worn, and there was an overall feeling of neglect. This place has clearly not been updated or properly managed in years. For the price and brand name, this was a huge letdown. Would not recommend and will not be returning. The property itself is nice and clean but the room walls are very thin and AC units work at its own mind. The concierge is rarely at his desk, the bellboys are very nice and helpful. The reception staff are unnecessarily moody and not very helpful. Pool catering staff are good but only 1 to manage everyone, so very delayed in getting served or anything. I would recommend the property but they need to change their staff in reception and organization of where to allocate the staff. Otherwise not much near by but a nice place to sit and relax.

The hotel is OK looking quite dated once you leave the lobby area. The lifts are small and old. The rooms are not soundproof or carpeted so you hear every bang and scape, why hotels don't put those cork bottoms on furniture amazes me. The beds are old and really soft. The breakfast is good as is the pool area but it is not heated.

Hotel incroyable avec une superbe deco Personnel aux petits soins, vraiment rien à dire. La piscine est magnifique! Le petit déjeuner excellent Tout est parfait à part les chambres qui mériteraient un petit rafraichissement : petit problème de chasse d’eau, television tres vieille, peu de prises electriques et mal placées (derriere le lit : il faut débrancher une lumière pour pouvoir charger son telephone ce qui reduit pas mal la luminisite de la piece …)

I am a frequent traveller to 5* hotels and must say that this is the first time i gave a low rating. Important to know: there is a club/bar attached to the hotel premises. Unfortunately there seem to be Prostitutes booking or occupying the rooms on the weekends which meant I was woken by music through their own speakers at 5am both weekends and sex noises. I have flagged this with the reception the first night and they didnt seem to be bothered too much and after the second weekend where I communicated my unhappiness they only said they are sorry. At check out when i communicated my frustration they again responded saying there is nothing they can do about this and they hope i come back a second time sooon??? I have never experienced anything like this before and do not expect 5* resorts to tolerate this. Property feels not secure even though they got security at night and during day. Rooms are slightly outdated. Dinner buffet has dry meat every night and not much choice for european visitors. They have pop up stands for dinner that safe that experience a little bit and give you at least one decent dish. There are also very limited restaurant choices around the hotel as an alternative option. Drinks are massively overpriced at dinner and pool area and seem to be UK prices. At the pool non of the staff actually bother to offer you any drinks to order or similar. The breakfast is good in comparison to the rest of the food. Staff are friendly

Checkin took ages. We were there at about 1pm and didnt get our rooms till after 4pm! The hotel itself was very good with lovely views of the sea and the breakfast was amazing! Check-out again took ages and our credit card deposit wasnt returned either, due to some fault in their system.

From the moment we got there the staff were incredibly welcoming and professional! They gave us a personal check-in the beautiful riad setting lounge. Mehdi and Soumaya were superb they offered us drinks whilst checking-in. I would also like to point out that the staff were very professional warm and delightful. The concierge staff were excellent and always ready for a helping hand. Ayoub was such really helpful, funny and good with the kids. The pool staff were also excellent and always warm and smiling around the pool. The food was great and always fresh. The room service was immaculate. Abderrahman was really helpful and always had a lovely smile when coming to the room. Last but not least all the housekeeping was always on point and cleaning the room daily with all the accessories replaced. All in all this hotel was a delightful stay, definitely a 5 star service. Lastly Rachid the the GM was also a very friendly and professional Manager, always willing to listen and help. Would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to going back in the future.

This was my second and last stay at Sofitel, unfortunately it wasn’t like the last time I stayed here. Firstly like last time and all the other hotels around the stretch there’s no private beach anymore. Breakfast was included in the stay and was until 10:30 in weekdays and 11:00 on the weekends. However after 9:30 most of the items were finished and staff blatantly refused to get any for you by saying sorry croissants are finished orange juice is finished. If you are unable to replenish breakfast items after 9:30 perhaps you should keep the timing till 9:30. Poolside food is way too expensive topping it with rude staff. Won’t be returning and would not recommend

Beautiful hotel with very attentive staff. Amazing food in the buffet restaurant, both breakfast and dinner. Pools beautiful but not heated. In mid April, they were chilly and the water on the beach warmer (there is no private beach and the beach is fairly dirty, but nevertheless enjoyable). The kids enjoyed the kids club for a day, especially the video games! Even our 11 year old had fun. Overall, highly recommended!

I have flagged this with the reception the first night and they didnt seem to be bothered too much and after the second weekend where I communicated my unhappiness they only said they are sorry. At check out when i communicated my frustration they again responded saying there is nothing they can do about this and they hope i come back a second time sooon??? I have never experienced anything like this before and do not expect 5* resorts to tolerate this. Property feels not secure even though they got security at night and during day. Rooms are slightly outdated. Dinner buffet has dry meat every night and not much choice for european visitors. They have pop up stands for dinner that safe that experience a little bit and give you at least one decent dish. This property was excellent and we loved our time here. The breakfast was brilliant and had a good range and staff were very helpful! The hotel smelt amazing and was very clean and the pool and spaces to relax are awesome. Only downside is the bathrooms do not have a douche and the showers were problematic where it would be hot water then suddenly change to cold and then back to boiling hot. Also this hotel is slightly away from the main strip with restaurants (walking distance approx 1 hr) however, you can easily take a cab there for approx £4 pounds. Overall we loved our stay here and it was excellent!

The property itself is nice and clean but the room walls are very thin and AC units work at its own mind. The concierge is rarely at his desk, the bellboys are very nice and helpful. The reception staff are unnecessarily moody and not very helpful. Pool catering staff are good but only 1 to manage everyone, so very delayed in getting served or anything. Whereas the reception would have 5-6 people to manage 2 thing. Check in process is very slow, we had to wait 45 minutes. I would recommend the property but they need to change their staff in reception and organization of where to allocate the staff. Otherwise not much near by but a nice place to sit and relax.

Beautiful hotel, lovely staff. Highly recommend! On the beach, huge pool area, sunshine in all areas, gorgeous lounge. Comfortable rooms with robes, slippers, nice shower and such a lovely bed.

First time in Agadir and first time in Morocco. Had an absolutely wonderful time at the Sofitel. All the staff were very polite and helpful. The pool area is beautiful, and the hotel has its own beach area looking out onto the promenade with a sea view. The nearest shops and other restaurants are a bit or a walk but you don’t really need to leave the hotel. Souk El Had was a 50MAD taxi ride away. There was lots of options at the breakfast buffet- I’m missing the fresh bread! Would definitely stay again for a relaxing holiday.

Beautiful hotel with very attentive staff. Amazing food in the buffet restaurant, both breakfast and dinner. Pools beautiful but not heated. In mid April, they were chilly and the water on the beach warmer (there is no private beach and the beach is fairly dirty, but nevertheless enjoyable). The kids enjoyed the kids club for a day, especially the video games! Even our 11 year old had fun. Overall, highly recommended!

Had a great, relaxing time. The interior courtyard is fantastic and the pool area was tranquil. We did stay towards the end of November and beleive it was quieter than the usual season, which certainly helped with the peacefulness. The concierge team were incredibly helpful, Ayoub provided some fantastic assitance and the front office team were also incredibly helpful and pleasant. I didn't quite catch her name but it may have been Soumia? We did find that there were very limited vegan options so had to eat away from the hotel for most meals

Beautiful breakfast, had everything- even a person making you fresh juice, you just said what fruits you wanted, it was magical. For kids they also had a huge can of hot chocolate, highly appreciated.

Hotel incroyable avec une superbe deco Personnel aux petits soins, vraiment rien à dire. La piscine est magnifique! Le petit déjeuner excellent Tout est parfait à part les chambres qui mériteraient un petit rafraichissement : petit problème de chasse d’eau, television tres vieille, peu de prises electriques et mal placées (derriere le lit : il faut débrancher une lumière pour pouvoir charger son telephone ce qui reduit pas mal la luminisite de la piece …)

This was my second and last stay at Sofitel, unfortunately it wasn’t like the last time I stayed here. Firstly like last time and all the other hotels around the stretch there’s no private beach anymore. Breakfast was included in the stay and was until 10:30 in weekdays and 11:00 on the weekends. However after 9:30 most of the items were finished and staff blatantly refused to get any for you by saying sorry croissants are finished orange juice is finished. If you are unable to replenish breakfast items after 9:30 perhaps you should keep the timing till 9:30. Poolside food is way too expensive topping it with rude staff. Won’t be returning and would not recommend

This place needs a complete overhaul. I would not recommend it. Members of staff pass the buck and for any query will ask you to ask someone else. - gutter smell around the pool toilets with lots of drain flies - poorly maintained, our bin was not working and bathroom smelt extremely damp. - when i complained no one got back to me - service is really poor. - the beach are is very crowded and is not private - Generally very run down and does not feel like a sofitel at all. - Our bathroom flush button was broken and the bathroom had loads of drain flies - Entertainment is very loud - balcony has bird poo and no one bothered to clean it - no iron in the room and the fridge does not work - gym is no bigger than the room and the aircon was out of order - food labelling wasn’t there so you don't know what you're having The good - decent selection at breakfast - they change the towels

Beautiful beachfront hotel with a luxurious, relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the beach and pool areas are excellent, and the location is hard to beat. Staff are generally friendly and attentive, and breakfast is very good.
