The Historic Berkeley Place

This property was in a great location, such a lovely and well-maintained historic property. I think it would have been helpful to have an actual person or two on the site to provide assistance, answer questions, give recommendations about local restaurants, etc. I also think coffee makers using good coffee in rooms or lobby would be an improvement as the K-pods are sub-par, at best. The bedding, sheets and towels are of excellent quality though.

Great location—perfect for walking into Staunton. The bed was very comfortable.

Absolutely loved the complimentary snacks in the lobby and cold drinks in our room. Everything was clean and very high quality. My only complaint would be that while the vast windows were beautiful, the curtains were not easy to close. My 80 year old aunt stood on a rolling chair trying to shut the high drapes above her bed. Also there were no clocks in the room whatsoever. But overall I would say the good far outweighed the bad. Although parking on the small lot was was extremely tight and a bit scary the location was perfect. Close to pretty much everything and just a short drive to Shenandoah where you will not want to miss the sunset views.

The property is beautiful! Everything you need has already been thought of and incredible quality. The beds and sheets are so comfortable. Huge showers with all the products you need. The decor is outstanding and meticulously clean. The town is quaint and completely walkable. Staying there was an experience of walking back in time.
