it is a beautiful well kept property in a spot that is not so well kept. Great breakfasts and nice and responsive staff. televisions are available on request, but the set up may prove awkward since there is no designated space in the room. The property has nice sitting outside areas around the property. Access to Agate beach is via a small steep path. Parking is provided in a covered area. Ocean House is not in walking distance to restaurants or shopping. The firepit pic is misleading since when you sit there the surrounding hedges totally block the view onto the water!

Such a wonderful stay!! Would definitely stay again. Beautiful property and loved the beach down below. Happy hour was perfect and breakfast was delicious! Views were amazing.

This property has a lovely view of the Oregon coast, a long beautiful beach is at the end of a steep trail and approximately 100 stairs to the beach. There are nice outdoor facilities and wood available to use in the firepit. Our room was nicely decorated and had a huge bathroom with a wonderful soaking tub-I\'m 62" and could have drowned in the tub! We had a window wall overlooking the beach an ocean. There were a number of guest but it was exceedingly quiet. The staff was very friendly and good about making suggestions. Breakfast was good and very filling. This facility is on a steep hillside and has many stairs. It is steep and narrow getting into the parking. I don\'t believe you\'d be able to park a full sized SUV in the parking structure. As a person with mobility issues I found all the stairs somewhat intimidating although the staff was very willing to assist.

With friendly staff, a very comfortable room, great views through the trees to the ocean and easy access to the beach, this is a lovely place to stay. Coffee, chilled soda and cookies are available in the lobby, together with a glass of wine early in the evening. We enjoyed our breakfast of French toast, fruit and bacon but there weren’t enough muffins for everyone, several of us had to go without whether we wanted to or not. While the owner gives very clear guidance on the check-in / check-out times be aware these are quite limited (not a problem for us).

This was our first B&B we have stayed in, it was the best hotel or rental property experience we have ever had. On the beach location, beautiful grounds, deck with fire pit, ocean views everywhere. The entire property is clean, like new condition, the staff couldn’t be more helpful. We stayed in the top level High Tides room, king bed, ocean view balcony, huge tiled in shower, 2 person jetted tub in giant bathroom. In house chef cooks different breakfast each day with home baked goods, coffee and other beverages all provided as part of the rental costs. We will be returning for sure. On a scale of one to ten, the Ocean House is an eleven !!

Room was beyond expectation. View of the ocean in the comfort of a closed balcony, Romance Package [Champagne, rose petals on bed, long stem roses, local chocolates], exceptional sevice, and amenities were all second to none! Breakfast was delicious, warm and quick. Easy walk/stairs to the beach. Tons of open space to sit, drink coffee[all day]/wine[4 to 6pm], cookies and muffins, open fire pit with plenty of firewood. Great relaxation and a wonderful stay. We'll be back!!

This is a beautiful property. Gorgeous views and quiet paths down to a huge open beach. Great places to sit with coffee and enjoy nature. Breakfast was amazing. We really enjoyed every minute of this vacation.

This was a great place to stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is special, freshly made, and different each day. Two things you should know, there are a lot of stairs (3-story building and no elevator) and the parking area won't accommodate a large vehicle like a pickup. We still had a great experience here and will try to return. It was very quiet and peaceful.

Love this place--beautiful views, beach nearby ("72 steps down to the beach," they were careful to say more than once), great food, nice amenities (homemade cookies each afternoon, a fridge full of soda, coffee and hot water available all day, wine at 5 pm daily), nicely appointed rooms. It might be tricky if you had mobility problems--while there are rooms on the main floor, normally you enter using a flight of stairs up from the carport. If you normally use a wheelchair or walker, make sure you mention this when you reserve (so you get a ground-floor room), and arrive when the front door of the home is accessible (I didn't manage to get in there using my key after hours). Also make sure that if you want the room with the soaking tub or the one with the jacuzzi tub, you request them when you reserve--not every room has a tub at all. I do plan to return--and I've snagged the room with the jacuzzi tub already!

We loved our stay here. The breakfast was wonderful, thank you Christy, and the staff was all very friendly. The only thing we notice in our room is the floor needed mopped. Otherwise wonderful

The property had an excellent view, but it was a disappointment from there. The room was sparce. Not even a small TV. The bed was pretty worn down and soft. The half hour allowed for breakfast service (9:00-9:30) was pretty lacking. No selection, a carbo sugar load seemed to be the goal. We ended up going out for breakfast each day. No room cleaning, towels, or trash removal for 3 days. Pitch dark parking garage - no lighting. Room was noisy. Staff was friendly. This location went through the motions, nothing more. It pretended to be something quite nice but just wasn't. Someone mentioned "new owners" and just rolled their eyes. Such a shame.

Ocean House is a top notch property. Amazing location on Agate Beach. Our accommodation was spacious, clean, and had spectacular views of beach from the top floor deck. Service was outstanding as well. Would recommend to anyone looking for a stop on the Oregon coast.

Ocean House is a lovely property, overlooking a beautiful beach. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. There were complimentary hot and cold drinks available and a wonderful breakfast. All of the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. Sherry the manageress was so helpful when I called her to explain I had booked for the wrong date and with advice about a local restaurant. Another great plus, there was a terrific seafood restaurant in walking distance. We definitely recommend Ocean House

Beautiful and Clean property in an amazing setting overlooking the beach. Close drive to restaurants and they had a great breakfast waiting for us in The morning. A few steps down to an expansive beach and a few places to sit and enjoy the view around the property. Hope to be back one day!

Absolutely stunning room! We stayed in the sandcastle suite and the jacuzzi tub was awesome room was comfortable only thing is I wish they had a tv and a table to have snacks on. But overall loved it!

We enjoyed the welcome we received. The rom was great; shower water pressure was great. Totally charming location. Hospitality was great! No TV in our room but we were totally good with that.

Fantastic place for a getaway with my wife. Everything was excellent. We stayed in the Cottage and it looked exactly like the photos. The only (minor) complaint I have is that there are some trees blocking the view of the ocean but that’s to be expected at the Oregon coast. Staff was friendly. The place was so cozy. I could see us living there if it wasn’t a BnB. Parking may be difficult with a full size SUV or truck. Breakfast was delicious and waaaay better than any breakfast at a cheaper place. Wish we had time for a full day to just hang out there. Also, the beach is so close and is somewhat secluded if that’s your thing. Best place I stayed at the coast probably in my 45 years of being an Oregonian. Thank you, Ocean House.

Ocean House is a top notch property. Amazing location on Agate Beach. Our accommodation was spacious, clean, and had spectacular views of beach from the top floor deck. Service was outstanding as well. Would recommend to anyone looking for a stop on the Oregon coast.

Ocean House is a lovely property, overlooking a beautiful beach. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. There were complimentary hot and cold drinks available and a wonderful breakfast. All of the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. Sherry the manageress was so helpful when I called her to explain I had booked for the wrong date and with advice about a local restaurant. Another great plus, there was a terrific seafood restaurant in walking distance. We definitely recommend Ocean House

Room was beyond expectation. View of the ocean in the comfort of a closed balcony, Romance Package [Champagne, rose petals on bed, long stem roses, local chocolates], exceptional sevice, and amenities were all second to none! Breakfast was delicious, warm and quick. Easy walk/stairs to the beach. Tons of open space to sit, drink coffee[all day]/wine[4 to 6pm], cookies and muffins, open fire pit with plenty of firewood. Great relaxation and a wonderful stay. We'll be back!!

Ocean House was a fantastic stay for two nights in Newport OR. We stayed in the Pacific Breeze room, which had pros and cons. Spacious with a comfy king bed and amazing linens, great views through the trees to the ocean, and lovely to hear the waves at night. Since the room fronted the driveway on one side and the neighbouring hotel on the other, privacy was a bit of an issue. The breakfast was incredible each morning, I would highly recommend this spot, just perhaps a different room.

I love the ocean view at this property and the steps down to the beach. We had a room on the ground floor and we could hear the visitors in the room above us at night but other than that this property was great ❤️

From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed warmly, and treated well. All staff I encountered were very kind and friendly. After being shown to my room, and beach access, eating area, etc., I was offered a glass of wine, shown access to tea, sodas, filtered water and a fresh baked cookie, which I came to learn, was offered each evening, yum! The chef, Ken, made incredible breakfasts each day of my stay, and some of the best scones I have ever tasted! My room had a jacuzzi tub, which I took advantage of, and enjoyed thoroughly! The beach was accessible by a set of stairs, and I walked on it daily, yes, even in the rain! I was close to Newport, and enjoyed spending a day, there, and took a short drive north to Lincoln City for a day. Overall, it was a great trip, and I hope to someday return, where I will definitely book a room here again! A big thanks to all staff, for making me feel welcome, safe and secure!

Simply amazing! Everything about Ocean House was perfect! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome and at home. This place is stunning. Sherry was an awesome host and Jessica made the most delish, satisfying breakfast! The lemon tarts were perfect and i wish i would have taken up the offer to bring some with us on our travels! So peaceful, upscale and relaxing! We didn't want to leave!

Fantastic place for a getaway with my wife. Everything was excellent. We stayed in the Cottage and it looked exactly like the photos. The only (minor) complaint I have is that there are some trees blocking the view of the ocean but that’s to be expected at the Oregon coast. Staff was friendly. The place was so cozy. With friendly staff, a very comfortable room, great views through the trees to the ocean and easy access to the beach, this is a lovely place to stay. Coffee, chilled soda and cookies are available in the lobby, together with a glass of wine early in the evening. We enjoyed our breakfast of French toast, fruit and bacon but there weren’t enough muffins for everyone, several of us had to go without whether we wanted to or not. While the owner gives very clear guidance on the check-in / check-out times be aware these are quite limited (not a problem for us).

I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE MORE! I usually stay in upper-tier hotels. However, this can be difficult at best in this portion of the Oregon Coast. It was an amazing place. VERY GAY FRIENDLY. We are a gay couple and sometimes run into BnB owners that can be rude or weird about gays staying at their properties. Not at all here. I never felt the vibe, you know the one, the awkward stare and avoidance one. The property was super clean, and that is coming from me. The guy that looks under beds and sink faucets for dirt. The quality of the staff was excellent. I mostly interacted with the property manager, but everyone was accommodating. The staff was excellent at having you feel welcome, and you know that can be awkward and uncomfortable at times when the Inn feels more like a home then a guest house. Overall, I can not imagine wanting for anything that a BnB guest should expect and more. From chilled drinks and snacks available all day to extra towels and toilettries in the guest rooms. I have no complaints and will stay there again.

We loved our host Sherri. As we arrived, she was finishing up a batch of homemade cookies which was an amazing vibe to walk into. She also gave us great recommendations for dinner and we had some amazing food in town. Sherri also makes amazing french toast if you get the pleasure of staying for breakfast. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area. We hope to stay here again in the future.

it is a beautiful well kept property in a spot that is not so well kept. Great breakfasts and nice and responsive staff. televisions are available on request, but the set up may prove awkward since there is no designated space in the room. The property has nice sitting outside areas around the property. Access to Agate beach is via a small steep path. Parking is provided in a covered area. Ocean House is not in walking distance to restaurants or shopping. The firepit pic is misleading since when you sit there the surrounding hedges totally block the view onto the water!

Chef Misty offers incredible meals, very pleasing presentation and gourmet in flavors. Cannot recommend Ocean House enough. Easy to walk to the beach and over to the lighthouse!

Had a great 2 night stay at the Ocean House while on vacation and wish it would have been longer. Will definitely be back! Plus: - Amazing views from our top floor windows/balcony - Beautiful grounds - Included breakfast was delicious - Service was extremely friendly and personal - Good location...close enough (driving) to everything but very quiet - Room nicely appointed Minus: - Only very minor issue is that parking in the hotel's small lot can be a bit dicey for medium sized cars and bigger...but there is another public lot just up the road so no biggie at all - Not a lot of things to do that are walkable, but everything just a short drive away

Ocean House is a beautiful property set on a hill above Agate Beach. The B & B is what one enjoys in a B & B-classic appointments including a fireplace in the great room that overlooks the porch that looks out onto the beach It is quiet and relaxing in every aspect. The room we had was large with a gas fireplace and jetted tub and comfortable King size bed. The breakfasts were outstanding, lovingly prepared by the chef every morning. The beach is an easy jaunt down 70 steps from the property. Any hiking or traveling beyond the beach would be by car, Highly recommend Georgie's for dinner, just 5 minutes from the B & B.

We loved staying here for our little overnighter away from home. It is only 72 steps from the front door to the beach! We were greeted with fresh baked cookies and beverages. A 5-6pm wine social hour was perfect after a little walk on the beach. Breakfast was so good! We will definitely be back!

It might be tricky if you had mobility problems--while there are rooms on the main floor, normally you enter using a flight of stairs up from the carport. If you normally use a wheelchair or walker, make sure you mention this when you reserve (so you get a ground-floor room), and arrive when the front door of the home is accessible (I didn't manage to get in there using my key after hours). Also make sure that if you want the room with the soaking tub or the one with the jacuzzi tub, you request them when you reserve--not every room has a tub at all. I do plan to return--and I've snagged the room with the jacuzzi tub already!

The property had an excellent view, but it was a disappointment from there. The room was sparce. Not even a small TV. The bed was pretty worn down and soft. The half hour allowed for breakfast service (9:00-9:30) was pretty lacking. No selection, a carbo sugar load seemed to be the goal. We ended up going out for breakfast each day. No room cleaning, towels, or trash removal for 3 days. Pitch dark parking garage - no lighting. Room was noisy. Staff was friendly. This location went through the motions, nothing more. It pretended to be something quite nice but just wasn't. Someone mentioned "new owners" and just rolled their eyes. Such a shame.

With friendly staff, a very comfortable room, great views through the trees to the ocean and easy access to the beach, this is a lovely place to stay. Coffee, chilled soda and cookies are available in the lobby, together with a glass of wine early in the evening. We enjoyed our breakfast of French toast, fruit and bacon but there weren’t enough muffins for everyone, several of us had to go without whether we wanted to or not. While the owner gives very clear guidance on the check-in / check-out times be aware these are quite limited (not a problem for us).

Room was beyond expectation. View of the ocean in the comfort of a closed balcony, Romance Package [Champagne, rose petals on bed, long stem roses, local chocolates], exceptional sevice, and amenities were all second to none! Breakfast was delicious, warm and quick. Easy walk/stairs to the beach. Tons of open space to sit, drink coffee[all day]/wine[4 to 6pm], cookies and muffins, open fire pit with plenty of firewood. Great relaxation and a wonderful stay. We'll be back!!

This is a beautiful property. Gorgeous views and quiet paths down to a huge open beach. Great places to sit with coffee and enjoy nature. Breakfast was amazing. We really enjoyed every minute of this vacation.

We loved staying here for our little overnighter away from home. It is only 72 steps from the front door to the beach! We were greeted with fresh baked cookies and beverages. A 5-6pm wine social hour was perfect after a little walk on the beach. Breakfast was so good! We will definitely be back!

Excellent B&B. Beautiful location, very nicely decorated and super friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious and right on time. The room and views were amazing. Can’t recommend this place more strongly and hope to return again one day

Absolutely amazing place of respite on the Oregon Coast! Sherry was a warm and spectacular host and Misty prepared the most delicious breakfasts. From the cozy vibe to the amazing views and games to borrow, everything was perfect. We stayed in the White Caps room and the bathtub was phenomenal. The afternoon warm cookies from scratch were also a delicious treat. We will be back!

The view is out of this world. A beach to yourself. The rooms are clean and feel like home. Staff is friendly. Wonderful breakfast. Soda and water available complimentary. small issue - the window shade in the bathroom did not work so we could not get open window with air flow. Overall it was a piece of heaven.

We did not realize we had booked a Bed and Breakfast rather than a hotel. Pleasantly surprised at the simple beauty and friendly staff. It was nice to not have a TV, instead a beautiful view. Other guests were relaxed and friendly. Will return.
