The room was not giving clean. I checked in and went to ask for a refund after looking at my room. I didn’t even put my bags down in the room. We walked in looked around and walked right back out. It wasn’t giving safe either.

Upon arrival I had to wait at least 40 minutes for my room, and when I went inside the room the room wasn’t even clean. The bedding was still dirty. There also wasn’t a phone in the room, at this point I was so I tried I didn’t even have the energy to complain.

Stay away from the hotel in Red Lion Inn & Suites Katy, TX. Despite good reviews, it was a nightmare. From the stench of urine upon arrival to constant noise disruptions, blood-stained bedding, and missing belongings, our stay was a disaster. Despite complaints, staff were unhelpful and dismissive. They even denied our missing items until we showed them video evidence. Don't risk staying here; it's unsafe with questionable guests and dishonest staff.

Checkin process was frustrating. Seem like the host didn’t know what he was doing. Was given a room that had been unsatisfactorily cleaned and smelled of cigarette smoke. I immediately went back to the desk and said I would not stay in that room it took the host thirty minutes to put me in a clean room that didn’t smell like smoke. The room was comfortable, besides being a little cold. You couldn’t turn up the air conditioner not sure what the room was kept at but it was cold. Shower was nice and bed was good.

Checkin process was frustrating. Seem like the host didn’t know what he was doing. Was given a room that had been unsatisfactorily cleaned and smelled of cigarette smoke. Dirty rooms and badly needs repainting. Mold growing in corner of shower/tibNo lamps on nightstands and people below were so loud and played music to which I called front desk and they said they would take care of it, but they continued this well after midnight.

Housekeeping took it upon themselves to enter the room while I was laying in bed. They knocked but didn’t say anything, so I ignored it, as they sneakily went into the bathroom to change the towels. A “do not disturb” sign was not provided for my room. The next day (checkout day) she knocked on the door across the hall, yelled housekeeping and entered after no reply. When she came out, she went directly to my door and swiped her keycard to come inside and attempt changing the towels again, or maybe even wake me up to check out, at 10:33am, 27 minutes before checkout. She did not knock. She just let herself into the doorway. I however was already standing there in her way while confronting her. 0 privacy in this place. Thin walls and floors. Sounds like Disney world (it even smelled like it at one point). Kids crying and screaming, banging on the walls and floors, music late at night - BUT, the rooms are very fair and modernized for their price. It seems like a fairly new place with minimal wear and tear of a lot of guests.

In the middle of the clerk checking me in, she left to go and had to have someone else check me in. Was disappointed when I got into my room because it wasn’t like I selected in the listing. The room I chose in the listing had a walk in shower with glass doors and this room had a dingy tub with something sticking out of the wall and a flimsy sheet shower curtain that would have been useless to stop water. The door stop lock was broken off my door. Didn’t really feel that safe seeing I couldn’t completely lock my door. I will never ever book again.

Staff was great but there was only one person to handle everything. There was a convention (lots of guests), an issue with someone’s booking, loud guests, and internet issues. The gentleman on staff did VERY well, but definitely could have used some help. Not impressed with turning lights off at the door and having to find the bed in the dark. Need lamps near the bed

New property that already is struggling with maintenance issues. We booked a room with king bed. When we walked in it smelled like an ashtray. We requested a switch and it turned out they did not have any other king size bed rooms (which we paid extra for) and were given a two twin beds instead. The lady at the reception desk was unfriendly and seemed bothered. The room was overall spacious and the bed was comfortable. Good for one night.

Very good location. Close to eateries and freeway. Got gas at the 7-11 next door, good price. Room is pretty spacious and modern. There are usb ports and a toothbrush. I have never seen a complimentary toothbrush other than super high end hotels. Breakfast was pretty normal, but missing waffles. Felt pretty safe. Plenty of shopping nearby.

Room didn’t have glass shower like showed,had mold in fridge ,and on top of fridge ,stains dripping down wall,holes scraped in walls hotel was a complete catfish . They also let someone upstairs in my room without checking I’d or anything it could have been anybody security checks are horrible .they owe me 1 day’s reimbursement and never received it yet .

The middle eastern lady at the front desk was very rude and I believe she stole my engagement ring. This afternoon my finance and I checked out of room 218. We were gone for 30 minutes before I realized that my engagement ring was still on the counter in the bathroom, where I placed it to take a shower. I was told that nobody had been in the room and was told I can go check it out by the lady sitting at the front desk, However, somebody had been in the room because there were new blankets on the dresser. I asked the housekeeper if she had been in that room or did she see my rings (there’s a total of 3 but my engagement ring is my only concern) she stated No, then she said she did go in there but the door was already opened when she went in there. I let the woman know at the front desk and my finance asked her if she could run the cameras or if she could see the key log. She stated she could not. We asked for the number for the manager and we were given a number that was disconnected. During our 5 day stay, we were originally given a key to a room that was already occupied on July 5th. We walked into somebody’s room and noticed clothes and shoes, immediately turned around and told the man at the front desk. He then gave us keys to room 218 where we stayed during the storm with no power. I bring this up because, this morning we heard 2 women unlock our door, but luckily we had the extra lock on so they were not able to get in. I have filed a police report& a report with Sonesta

Traveled with family and this place did not disappoint! Check in was easy and the staff was helpful and respectful. Room was very clean and the breakfast was pretty decent! I would definitely recommend this place and would book again!

I immediately went back to the desk and said I would not stay in that room it took the host thirty minutes to put me in a clean room that didn’t smell like smoke. The room was comfortable, besides being a little cold. You couldn’t turn up the air conditioner not sure what the room was kept at but it was cold. Shower was nice and bed was good.

Staff is very rude and profiled me and my friends almost called the cops on us. 1st room they gave us was occupied and the second one they replaced it with had dirty towels and the floor had not been swept along with a dirty stained shower curtain. any other hotel in the area would have been better.

Very good location. Close to eateries and freeway. Got gas at the 7-11 next door, good price. Room is pretty spacious and modern. There are usb ports and a toothbrush. I have never seen a complimentary toothbrush other than super high end hotels. Breakfast was pretty normal, but missing waffles. Felt pretty safe. Plenty of shopping nearby.

Loved that it was clean, safe, and comfortable. The breakfast food & service were average. There was no one around ensuring the food was fresh at 30-40 min before breakfast time is over.

I booked a 3-day, 2-night stay, but unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. The first room was not clean and had stains on the bathroom towels and sheets, along with a rusted showerhead. The night staff moved me to a different room with a king bed, but the situation was even worse. When I woke up the next morning, I discovered roaches throughout the room and bathroom. I immediately checked out and requested a refund. When I checked out, the staff acknowledged that the room I had been moved to was known to have a pest problem. This was extremely concerning, especially since I was moved into the room by hotel staff without being informed of the issue. Despite the condition of both rooms and the significant inconvenience, the hotel only offered to refund me for the second night because I had booked the stay in advance. I do not feel that was an appropriate resolution given the circumstances. This was an extremely unpleasant and disappointing experience. Cleanliness, safety, and pest control should be basic expectations at any hotel. I would not recommend this property based on my experience.
