Budget Inn Sanford International Airport

Shower needs to be operational, did have to take a bath with bad knees. Wi-Fi needs to be extended to the rooms further away from the front, had my room switched to get reception. Noisy pool area and trash left outside some of the rooms. Wouldn’t recommend.

No elevator.

The pool was out of order and had algea on the bottom but they still had people going in it. People live there so its a bit noisy

I wish I'd been warned about the $75 deposit fee not sure when I'm getting that back. The rooms are nice quiet and dark parking right there at the door there's a very large pool and there is a picnic area down by the lake I wish the dock had been repaired that would have been nice to go out on but it was closed off I was surprised to find a star fruit tree full of fruit. The staff member I dealt with wasn't very friendly that was off putting a little bit The room for the most part was in pretty good condition the remote was missing the back of it and in the bathroom there was mold especially underneath the rails and the faucet to the tub was very loose Personal opinion on there the gray and the swimming pool area is very Stark and prison like but the pool is very well kept up and clean nice to swim in.. I would say again in this area but I will warn you when the sanitation plant less than a block away next door opens up their vents the smell of 💩 is atrocious There's a nice IHOP right next door and the hotel is about 11 minutes from the Waterfront with nicer restaurants and not too far from the zoo either if I was in the area again I would stay at this hotel again

Easy access and close to airport is what I picked this hotel for. Awesome view of lake right next to property. Has bbq grill and gazebo area. IHOP next door. Has pool. No truck parking for semis. Room was clean. Only down thing about experience was the front staff at check in kept going back to her phone. When who ever answered on the other end, she was swearing at them. Needs work on customer service.

The hotel exceeded our expectations, prompting us to extend our stay by an additional two days. Although we encountered a few minor insects, their presence was minimal. The cleanliness of the room was commendable, and the beds provided exceptional comfort. Onsite laundry facilities were available, albeit at an additional cost. Unfortunately, access to the lake via the dock was closed off during our visit. The pool, however, was well-maintained, and its limited usage by guests ensured a tranquil atmosphere. It would have been preferable if the pool remained open for extended hours. It is worth noting that we observed some individuals swimming in the pool after hours without any apparent objection from the staff. Speaking of the staff, their amiable nature left a positive impression on us. Due to the presence of my personal fan, I cannot accurately assess the noise levels in the hotel during mornings or evenings. Nevertheless, considering the price paid for the room, I would gladly choose to stay here again.

Friendly and courteous service. The rooms pretty dark. Old decor. Scratched furniture. Plenty of space to create gardens and sittng areas but bare. It seems the grass is not cut regularly. The boardwalk in the picture is not accurate. It is boarded to stop anyone from using it. Pool area is big and plain. May have limited sitting during high tourist season. Close to restaurants and places to visit. Pillows are horrible for the neck.

Roach infested. Low quality towels. Asked a staff for additional towels and she said yes and never came back. People had to use handwritten do not disturb door signs. We asked for our money back since we did not want to stay in roach infested room. Was told no.

The rooms were clean but there were cockroaches all around the room to include the bed.

Check in was easy and simple. Room- air conditioner didn’t work. Shower head and fan in bathroom were dirty. There were cockroaches in the bathroom and in area before bathroom. Overall this place I do not recommend at all. Disappointed and disgusting! Sheets didn’t look like they have been changed.

Clean and efficient

A lot of very sketchy characters staying there and hanging out. Covered vehicles in the parking lot that were clearly there long term. One guy pulled up blasting music as he took his time doing whatever before leaving. The front desk attendant seemed like it was a real bother to do his job. The TV didn’t work. No signal at all just snow. The room was way less than clean including the roaches. I slept on top of the bed fully dressed and could not wait to leave in the morning. Never ever again.

My wife and I have stayed here numerous times. I am not sure if new owners took over but rooms were always clean with no issues. There is a dock out to the lake were you could go out and see wildlife. It is now closed. There was a lot of roaches in our room and some sort of bug that bit my wife on Christmas. I reported this on checkout and the clerk said I'll report it. Not sorry or any concern. I have photos and wish I could post them.

Dirty, roach droppings. Absolutely nasty

I have not seen cockroaches in hotels for a long time. So, my room in Budget Inn was full of them. Not sure why is it difficult to use roach repellents?

The staff at both check in and checkout were great. However the room was dirty, literally bugs both dead and alive in our bed sheets and the shower area was dirty. Noise from other guests and from the apartments behind the hotel made it impossible to sleep.

Check in was via a window not welcoming at all. Room was older however comfortable. General cleaning needed some major attention. Felt safe.

Slight odor to the room but not noticeable after a few minutes. Room looked to be freshly painted and updated. Older motel but effort has been made to keep it clean. Would stay again since it’s close to the airport.

We were prepared for cockroaches, blood, crime scene tape, cigarette burns, and our reservation being “lost”. BUT instead we had a normal, relatively comfortable short stay at a Budget motel … Room 230 was OK. Pro tip call ahead and check in ahead of time

Towels were like sandpaper. Only one wash cloth in the room. No tissues in the room. Had to go to night window to check in. Sketchy car with people in it in the parking lot. Dirty floor, comforter. Staff were not very friendly.

Old. Noisy. Just ok

The room smelled. Hair in the bathtub so I didn’t shower. Remote didn’t work. No outlets except a power strip that included cords for the fridge the microwave and the tv. No power outlets by the bed.

It was inexpensive and close to the airport. There was a strong smell of an air freshener. The bathroom door didn't open/close because it dragged on the tile floor.

The Budget Inn is an older property that has been renovated w/ new flooring, paint and other improvements. It is very clean w/ comfortable mattress and pillows. It is close to the airport for an early leaving flight.

Room was clean and comfortable. Air conditioner banged every time it shut off which was annoying.

Great value for the money. Beautiful view, my daughter loved feeding the ducks and turtle by the lake. Cute picnic area. The staff was super friendly and the housekeeping staff responded to requests promptly. Everything was clean in the room and well maintained. The outside was picked up and free from litter. There are residents on the property and some were outside socializing with each other. They were not vulgar or rude, they were quite friendly. I imagine this is what bothers a lot of reviewers giving this property low ratings. This is the reality of the US economy right now. Any motel/hotel at this price point will have long term guests.

The staff was not very helpful. The air conditioner sounded like a truck. When I asked to be moved they sent a repairman. He was nice but didn't fix the problem. Went back later could not sleep. Bebi was at the desk and she said no problem and changed my room. I thank her.

I went to check in at 2:30pm. Check in is listed as 3:00pm. Short, pregnant girl behind the counter finally looked up from her phone and said "Do you need something?" I said that I was hoping to check in since it was only 30 minutes until listed time. She replied that she would charge me $30 extra to check in early in addition to the $75.00 deposit. I asked if she could make an exception since I was so close to state time. Nope she refused. Sooo, we waited in the car in the parking lot. 15 minutes later, I went in and asked if I could use the bathroom. She said bathrooms are for registered guests only. REALLY? I said I would be a registered guest in 15 minutes and she said No. I said this was ridiculous and petty. She just shrugged her shoulders. I would NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN.

It is an older hotel so it shows it age in some spots, but all in all it was a great stay. Had a problem with bed and they fixed right away, they went out of thier way to make our stay wonderful. Great staff.

Didn’t even have a room for us. Told us that even though we had a reservation that “the hotel was overbooked” Then still charged us on Expedia the next day.

Staff was amazing.

The staff need to be more respectful and the deposit need to be drop down to $50 instead of 75.00 and 100.00 there some fixing issues going on and roaches in the room everything is good so far

Upon arrival, the individual whom was working the front desk could not come across as any more put out that she had to check someone into the hotel. She could not find my reservation by my name, nor with the itinerary number that I gave her. I was told that without a confirmation number that she could not help me, then as rude as could be told me that she would not be able to rent a room to me and threw my ID down into the slot for me to take - while keeping her head and lot of her face covered by the hoodie that she was wearing. Completely taken aback, I went to the car and told my aunt about the situation that we had just found ourselves in. She went in and had a conversation with the young lady whom was now able to conveniently help get us checked in. However, instead of just charging the card that I had booked the room with, she took a card from my aunt and we both now have charges to separate cards for the same room. Shortly ago I called Budget, asked to speak to customer service and was abruptly told to, "Call back in more than 20 minutes." Instead, I called my credit card company and filed a dispute with respectable service. After having used this location for the past 15 years on my flights out of Florida, I will never book here again. The worst customer service I have ever experienced in any realm.

Great staff!

They had given my room to another couple who was using my name. They told us they had no more room. My card was charged. They left a young girl to handle all the chaos alone. Several other people had a similar issue. I didn’t feel the employee was safe with all she had to endure. She was a very sweet young lady who was very apologetic and kind. She was doing all she could to help.

Close to Airport and IHOP within walking distance

The room was dirty with stains on chairs and sheets, and had dank smell. There were other guests outside of their rooms making noise very late in the night. Overall, we did not feel safe at this property.

It's so convenient to use fine in and out of Sanford airport.

It was a lovely place to stay our last night in Florida!!! Near the airport.

It was pretty run down and people were living there, the door did not close totally at the bottom It was pretty sketchy but it served the purpose of being at the Sanford Airport early

There was a lot of sketchy people out in the parking lot after midnight. A lot of noise from people there until about 3am.The room was pretty dingy. The sheets were clean.

I Always stay here when flying out of Sanford airport, convenient to restaurants, and the rooms are always clean. And staff is always friendly.

I like the service and the room was nice and breakfast was good

Rooms was very nice, but had a bit of concern from staff at check in and checking out checking in my bill was already paid but was asked for a $deposit was not explained why was not told the wi-fi code was not told about any type of breakfast but I asked will my $dollars be refunded and was told yes so next day at checkout 10:55 am I turned key in and ask for refund I was told no receipt no refund I felt like I should have been told to keep the receipt, but I found it and the clerk said it doesn’t have amount written on top of receipt but the receipt clearly had that I was charged $and now it is 12 hours later and my refund is not back in my bank he claimed it will go back soon as her check me out I need my money back in my account I also ran into another lady that her whole refund did not go back into her account so I don’t trust them anymore, and also for three people we had 1 wash cloth and two towels and a hand towel and mat or we supposed to use it on all three of us I did go to the maid and get wash cloths and 2 more towels other than these things it can be a nice place to stay I will not revise until my $deposit is returned deposit was returned two days later maybe because Monday was a holiday

The room was a mess half the room didn't have electricity or lights the toilet didn't work right the entry door had a gap on the bottom of about 2 inches letting in the cold air the room had some kind of bugs in there no breakfast not even continental breakfast. the room had exactly two bath towels and one face cloth that was paper thin and all worn out. The night I checked in I went right to the front desk to tell them about the issues they told me that they would be fixed the next day,well they never got fixed a was there for a few days they wouldn't change my room either. When I booked the room it was for #79 a night when I checked out they charged me $109 a night. the place was dirty and filthy papers and cigs all over the place. Nasty nasty place to stay I will never stay there again and you shouldn't either. Too many nice places in the area even if you pay a little more it's worth it not this dump. The people there have a very bad attitude.
